Comments
Just stay away from the comments section. For whatever reason the smartest people in the world like to have political discussions in all the threads and it CRAZY how super smart big brained people they are.
Wasted Potential
It could have been something cool but it’s slowly but very surely gotten way worse and the guys writing the recaps have clearly bent the knee to certain ideologies. The ads are also very annoying, just bombarding you with the same few at the beginning and end of every video, even extremely short videos.
Good App. Hate the update
Use this to study the conflicts around the world and show it to the men I work with as lessons learned. The update has made it more of a hassle to learn for the videos I’m seeking specifically. Would prefer the old style better.
Not moderated at all
Plus crazy bias
Last Update Broke the FUNKER530 App
Mannn something about the last few Updates wrecked the App for me, I’m not huge on the tech side soo I’ll explain what happens. Soo the last update broke my ability to watch anything besides whatever is the first homepage video, that is the only clip that will run, let alone respond to me clicking it. Anything else- far as comment sections, trending videos, ect wont ever load if by some chance they actually let me click on them. But either way I’m totally bummed out cuz this was my go-to app if I wanted to zone out and enjoy the content. Definitely nervous that my phone & iOS# is considered left behind, that would be sooo wack. Fingers crossed that this somehow will be remedied but it’s been weeks now
Real
For Americans that live under a rock, this will show you how the rest of the world is operating and how good you have it in the US of A.
Down hill
Well, this app used to be good. Keeps going downhill with every update. See ya!
More of a suggestion than a review
Your website is a great idea and I personally spend way too much time on it but I would enjoy it much more if there were a section where independent writers/combat enthusiasts could post there own content. I understand it would be hard to tow the line with how much of an influx of new media yall would be receiving but at the same time viewership would only have to go up and you can still segregate your own teams content. And please make it so when I press the space bar it pauses the video. Please.
Not moderated well
The application is functional and works pretty smoothly outside of some bugs that do get patched when discovered. However, go under any video and you will read some of the most vile and racist comments. I have seen few of these actually removed. Ones of the writers is very great with insights and perspective when provided context of situations. Another, makes comments and produces insight based more times than not with a narrative that has no source or citation indicating a heavy bias based on few facts.
Only 1 issue I have with app
The only issue I have come across is that it won’t let me go into full screen mode when watching the videos. I am using an iPad Pro
#1
Absolute awesome informational and video graphical resource. Be prepared to learn a lot!!!💥🇺🇸
Staff are biased and the UI is terrible
Not only is this app extremely annoying to navigate, but it’s plainly obvious that its creators are not supportive of free news. The home page is constantly riddled with Russian men and teens getting wiped out in Ukraine. Followed by disgusting community comments and poorly researched video descriptions. This app could be described as the military enthusiasts version of bestgore.com. If the playing field was even and there was a fair amount of videos of both sides POV’s this app could be useful for news or war footage, but its not. Absolute garbage
Fullscreen not working on ipad app
Guys, thanks for providing info we can’t get anywhere else. The app isn’t allowing me to go fullscreen on my ipad. Thanks
Poor Performance
Ever since the overhaul the apps performance has been atrocious.
Decent aggregator. Military community.
Although nothing specifically seems to special about Funker530 as they don’t post excessive gore, exclusive videos etc but that’s fine by me. I don’t have social media or telegram so it’s perfect for me as they scour the internet for content and attempt to sum it up. The reason I am only giving 3 stars is the search bar is actual cancer I’m not sure if it’s just me but I can’t for the life find any videos I search for it’s easier to click through 15 videos and find it again. I have even saved the name to show friends later and it can’t find it with the exact name. Also the comment section seems to claim they miss lots of content/ post very short versions when the full version is readily available I can’t verify this but I will accept it as truth. TLDR; decent app, terrible search bar, slight lack of content, but awesome community. The search bar thing kills me so I take away 2 whole stars just for That. One way around is search it in google and get the website but that’s not the point.
Great owner
Cannot say enough about the morals and owner of this company. 5 stars all day
Thumbs down
Can’t believe they took away the thumbs down button.. anyways it was pretty good site. Same few people always commenting political views or arm chair expertise on all the videos. Not what it once was
Buggy please fix it
Worked great for a short period of time, since two weeks it’s only « if your video player doesn’t load… » i got the app updated and i’m using 4/5G. P’ease fix it asap.
Great app but the update ruined it
The new interface looks amazing but it completely broke the app for me. I used to be able to pop from video to video no issue but ever since the new interface was implemented it’s been horribly slow and keeps freezing.
A lot of Pro Ukrainian propaganda. Otherwise decent
A lot of the content is 1 week behind from other sources. The authors are clearly picking sides and the so called analysis are wrong or insufficient most of the time.
Lots of great content
Great for finding hard to find videos. The chat function is reliable and the community is entertaining.
App full of teens and kids.
Just read the comments and you know this app is full of silly billys.
No full screen on iPad - detracts from great content
What it says on the tin. Full screen button doesn’t work on my ipad
Website change?
I’ve followed and enjoyed Funker530 for two or three years now via app on my phone. I woke up a few days ago to find the layout of the app totally changed. I really really dislike the new format. Not anywhere as easy to find videos I have watched or want to watch. No clear layout of uploaded videos unlike previous version. I definitely do not like and I’m considering whether I want to remain using it.
Player Doesn’t work anymore.
Worked well at the beginning. But for several weeks no videos are played. Even when not using any ad blocker. Too bad… Please fix it.
Epic
I get to watch what YouTube doesn’t want me to watch, and I’m down for it.
App doesn’t even work anymore
Just constant freezing when videos are clicked on. Can’t even watch videos on the app anymore.
Good Stuff
UI needs a bit of work but a fantastic app none the less
Doesn’t work
Looks like a great app, but it’s not working (if your video player doesn’t load…) Fix it please I don’t have any add blocker or whatever it says to disabled.
Advertising make the experience deplorable
Shame that there is so much advertising on videos The comment section could be made clearer with comments from moderators boosted
Booty Shorts
Hey All! I am writing this review in support of all the fine folks at Funker530! This app is the best and I enjoy all its features. I hope Ronnie reads this while wearing is booty shorts. That would be epic!
Great concept, website, commentary - horrible app
The execution of this app is… wanting. It functions horribly on iPhone, it’s borderline unusable. Can’t pause or play reliably, can’t get comments to load. No matter what I try.
Nice app but..
I like the app but there is just something wrong with the video player whenever i’m trying to skip through. Both online as in the app
The ads are annoying
While I respect that ads are a necessary source of revenue I want to be able to pay to remove them. I would gladly pay for a premium ad-free membership.
Best in the world
Private Pyles has me this.
WHY
WHY HAVENT YOU FIXED THIS GARBAGE APP ITS SO BAD YOURE ALL SELLOUTS
I do appreciate the effort
I appreciate the effort to make a Funker530 App. However, the app is not that much needed. The app itself is just a Browser-In-App version of Funker. Beside, loading video’s/pages is taking a moment or two. No build in features, except a ‘Go to home screen’-button, a button to load the webpage with the latest videos and a button to edit your profile. Yes, I will be using the app. But, only when I receive notifications. It’s more assumable I just go to Safari/Chrome and hit the web, instead go to one of my thousand home screens to find the Funker app. But, keep in mind the ‘app’ just recently has been released. And uh, I’ve seen Funker530 staff is reading all the reviews. I dare yah to reply to me on video 😋 Regards, Tango Oscar Mike.
Fullscreen Doesn't Function
Great combat footage site, but the Fullscreen icon on the videos doesn't work on my iPad. Without this, a lot of details are missed.
Great app
Great content impartial and good analysis of the videos
Paying for premium and and still seeing adds
I’ve been paying premium for a couple of months and I’m still seeing adds. Tried to contact you guys about this issue but still no answer customer support is nonexistent. Can’t figure out how to fix the issue so I’m just going to contact my bank to stop all transactions with funker530.
Great content Poor UI
Love the app has heaps of cool videos keeps you entertained for hours but the user interface is clunky and tricky to navigate with the loading times are insane on some of the videos especially when your phone goes into low-power mode for some reason loading times go on through the roof would benefit from some UI and networking upgrades
Reality of war
Funker350 shows the brutal reality of war through video. This app truly gives the viewer a small taste of what combat veterans see and live in during combat. The only thing’s missing are smells of war, and the constant adrenaline rush from the fear of death, thrills experienced once you have completed your objectives, and concerns when heading to the next. As a combat veteran I highly recommend this site to anyone who needs a good reality check. Zman 2nd Cav Battle of 73 Easting. “ Always Ready, Always First “
Used to be so good
I don’t know what happened the past couple months but it takes 2 minutes to load any page and even longer for videos. App and website both are ruined
