Great app!
Great app!
Kickstarter Never Responds
I backed a campaign in May 2024 for this item called ChicGarlique. Over 2 years later and nothing. Everyone who backed is complaining and NOONE has done a damn thing at Kickstarter. I won’t be backing anymore campaigns and Kickstarter should be ASHAMED! The owner of the campaign hasn’t given an update in over a year. Got thousands and thousands from backers ($93,000) and they just stole the money. How can Kickstarter allow this to happen?
Recommendations
Not always recommended things I actually want to support
No support for backer
They do not help the backers after the campaign ends, when the creators take your money and don’t respond to emails, Kickstarter just coordinates SCAMMERS together claiming to be creators just to take your money
More organization support would be useful
As it stands, the app is okay, but clunky and is missing some basic project/campaign support for backers to stay informed. It would be a great update to the app if a calendar function could be integrated where backers could see when projects were projected to be delivered. (We don’t need to see all the projected timeline stuff, although it might be nice to also see when funding closes for backed projects too ;) ). It would make the app more user friendly and organized and save people- backers from clicking around to responsibly follow up on their investments and support. Alternatively, a sorting option for the “backed” projects listed. Maybe by projected delivery date or whether it has been funded or not? Same with delivered or not. I appreciate the toggle button within each campaign but an overall portrait would be useful.
Great quality and quantity
Awesome platform and great services an lots to choose ect!
Terrible UI
Where’s the price? Cant see the price for like 9/10 projects. Don’t want to “back this project” until I know how much it cost. Doom scrolled all the way down and didn’t see any pricing. Why?? Makes no sense
Kickstarter
I love having the opportunity to buy new technologies before they go mainstream!
Try Our New Discovery Mode!
This pop up is obnoxious and infuriating. Get it off my app!
App needs upgrade
It would be nice if the app had more features for creators to update from a mobile platform
One Rating

A lot of scams. Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money. Some of creators didn’t so the any pictures of the production progresses, which meant they are scammers. However, Kickstarter won’t back you up to get money back. Don’t waste your money and your time
Wo bleibt der DARKMODE
Alles gut soweit aber wo bleibt der DARKMODE echt nervig abends bissle durchzublättern.
Awful application
Every time I look to check on my project activities the app breaks. It freezes and won’t show anything. There were issues previously but now it’s absolutely broken! How?
Kickstarter is a joke!
I’ve lost thousands of dollars backing different investors who never fulfilled there promises and kickstarter does nothing to ensure you aren’t scammed.
Art de crée des besoin
Plein de belle chose
Spam, poor app
Bad. They Keep spamming me. I have unsubscribed to everything multiple times and after a few days they resubscribe me. Lame.
Needs dark mode.
Good app but really needs dark mode.
2 factor
Unable to easily setup 2 factor authentication
Win some lose some
Some projects have been scams from the start but others have turned out great. Still others arent a scam but fail to live up to the hype or break and the creator has gone out of business.
Minis
A new fantastic new range of minis.
F for Effort
congratulations to the IT experts that turned a functioning APP into one that utterly fails to deliver anything other than ‚something went wrong, try again later‘ have an enjoyable weekend IT experts!
Is there a dark mode?
The app is a great alternative to the website, everything is streamlined and working nicely. The only thing I haven’t been able to find is the way to turn on a dark mode on the app. I prefer to use dark mode for everything and I use the Noir app to set all sites to dark mode Could you please add a dark mode option to the Kickstarter app, if you haven’t already? Thank you so much!
Wishes and Dreams
That’s all they are selling on Kickstarter anymore. You won’t get burned too badly on small ticket items; but anything that seems too good to be true, is a scam.
Difficult to find things
I find it very hard to find projects that I like and would back. I just backed a TTRPG campaign guide and ‘similar projects’ down the bottom of page was travel bags. To not miss out on great projects like have many times. I’d need to always be on there going through random rubbish that has no interest to me
Amazing app for so many good ideas
I love this app
Project funded but product not shipped
The Robopong project I support got fully funded, but the product hasn’t been delivered even after 10 years. Kickstarter hasn’t taken any steps to push the creators to complete and ship the product. No refund option available too. Lost trust supporting any project in Kickstarter.
Beware of Scams
While on average I have received many of the items from projects I supported, I have had two outstanding projects now approaching 3 years with no delivery, no communication, no resolution. When you reach out to Kickstarter they hide behind BS excuses. I haven’t supported a project since and suggest that you avoid this app until they get their policies updated to protect supporters
App
Very difficult to log in. I have to use my Apple ID via the website to access kickstarter every time as it refuses to let me use email and password. Frustrating.
Kickstarter
Nice idea . Sign up take look online items
False advertising
I PLEDGE $10 in the XTOOL WONDER PRESS FOR $300 OFF AND NOW THEY CANT GIVE ME THE DISCOUNT, WITH BENI THE SAME, IM WAITING AND WAITING AND THEY JUST TAKE THE MONEY AND DONT DO WHAT ITS PROMISED. Scammers
Change campaign page visibility on landscape mode, please.
Great app, but on the iPhone the app needs to allow for more visibility of the campaign page when the iPhone is in landscape mode (holding the phone on its side.). I often hold the phone this way to see the images better but currently the app forces the margins at the bottom and top to reduce the view of the campaign page by almost 50%. I hope you can fix this. I’m sure others feel the same way.
Better information on website
Missed out on extra early bird pricing because app didn’t make it clear that apparently extra early bird is only for a limited time after launch. In trying to figure out why it said rewards were available at the super early bird level, but it was no longer available as an option, it appears that the website provides a time count down as well as counting down the number of rewards left at each level. Not happy!!!
Cool but…
I’ve backed a few projects when I lived in another country - all new projects default to that old country even though I change countries. I also can’t update it within my profile. I thought I’d try request my personal data to see if it’s specified there and that page gives an error once I submit my email saying that legal.kickstarter.com is an invalid referring URL. I find more and more projects are not crowdfunding but simply use this platform to build hype - just run the numbers with the number of backers for each reward on a project and you soon realise that don’t make sense. The owner always has a few super early bird rewards (that never decrease) to make you feel pressured to jump in or you’ll miss out.
Great idea for great ideas!
I’ve been making a number of pledges of support for some great innovative ideas. You only get charged the amount if the project goes forward but pledging early opens up some interesting options and special deals. Happy to support new ideas.
One bad apple, ruins the bunch
One bad campaign and the app is worthless. You realize the KS staff only support the platform and creators. Backers are only important until they pay money then they’re ignored and told they were legally stolen from. Careful what projects you back because ks provides 0 support. Will never use this again
Different Payment Method
The app runs smoothly, would be good if it allows different payment methods.(Banking Apps)
Beaware
So there are some good Ideas inside kickstarter, Community. But be aware there are some people taking advantage, offering something taking the money and you will get nothing back. Which is really shameful. So Check the reviews. Because as I said there are really great stuff going on. I hope you have a better result than I had.
Good, but…
The comments section of the app really needs some attention. You can’t edit or delete, there are no reactions or quotes and some sub replies are unviewable in the app! Come on guys, the rest of the platform is pretty mature by now. I like to engage with the projects I back, but the comments section is a real let down.
Doing their best
Everyone relax : ) you’ll get your guitars
Latest update infuriating
God, your app sucks so much. Can you please hire people who actually know how to make apps, please? Then fire the people who made this pile of garbage and blackball them so they never are able to work on any app architecture ever again? That would be great because they are honestly that bad at it. The only thing this app has done is driven me to drink recklessly
Love it!
I love Kickstarter and have backed a few awesome projects. I do wish that when playing videos we could go full screen without the video stopping.
Bad UI for visually impaired
Extremely difficult to tell whether notification options are on or off
App Limitation - No Comments
It does most of what I need except it doesn’t display comments made on update posts. Being that I often browse KS in my lunch break, I am on my phone and away from a computer. Makes the app rather limited.
Good to be involved
.,. I’m helping projects that interest me to get off the ground. Great way ti raise the necessary capital to get a project going. And I love the chance to get limited edition copies off things. Great app.
Spam
Its a money launderer

Broken app for IOS 18.1 with lots of bugs
Cannot email using in app messages as the send icon is always greyed out. Also couldn’t cancel my pledge as even though it’s set to end in December I’m being told I can’t cancel it because it’s in its final 5 days left. Please fix this.
Perfect app
It has everything you need to make the world a better place.
