Broken game
Played for the first time for all of about an hour, servers are down (at least for me) with no information about it on the website, and the last twitter post is for maintenance that ended 6hrs ago. Highly disappointed

Growpass… And Now Chat
Changing voucher requirements for growpass from 10 vouchers to 20 is absolutely ludicrous. Just shows how greedy the devs have gotten Okay so for the past 3-4 months I literally do not see the chat bar pop up anymore. I can’t see any broadcasts or messages from friends. Nothing at all. The only way I see other players talk is in world and for a social game that’s just not working when most worlds are full of spam bots. You literally only get real people interacting in casinos now because of this. It’s so frustrating.

I use to play this game all the time when I was younger. Tried logging back in on my iPhone and all I get is “failed login” every single time

Used to love this game but Ubisoft made it terrible. They are destroying this game like r6. I can’t even log into the game without getting an error of unstable connection or some dumb reason they give. Hopefully they make a new game or just stop making games in general. Ubisoft worst company ever!

I don’t even know
I started playing this game when it first came out. I was so infatuated with it that I would spend days and nights just playing it til my eyes got blurry. This game was amazing until Ubisoft bought this game. Ubisoft manages to screw every game up, and I’m surprised they have good business still. I try to hop on now for nostalgia purposes and can’t even load in because the server is filled with bots. When i do, I feel like I’m the only player in the game. I mean seriously, the worlds that used to be filled have links that are empty or they’re empty themselves. Every world you join is filled with of bots and spam. Ubisoft is the WORST company to have bought this game. I miss Seth and Mike. I miss the old mods when they were actually liked and treated with fame. I know change has to come, but it could’ve went a whole different way. I think I’ve spent over $600 in this game. The fact they don’t do anything about these problems is extremely discouraging and sad. I know the game is dead, but it’s still a game they bought. I really wish they would make it somewhat playable again.

Not a game when it used to be
All the good memories that I had playing this game has paused when I tried logging into the game after 5-6 years (i started playing at 2020ish), then when I tried logging onto the game, first of all, it takes like 10 seconds to just log onto an account, and when I did log onto my account it says that my account is suspended. Then I checked to see if my ult accounts are also suspended, but no, it says that the “emails were not valid”. Idk anymore, I spent all my time decorating worlds and providing services for people to match their needs. It is just absurd to me that I got banned for no reason, except not being active.

Ban the bots, the game has 1 bug only, it is from creating and login in my account, and also great game, fix the game a bit!
Where do I begin?
Oh Growtopia, what a great game you were when Seth and Hamumu were running it. Ubisoft took over and it has been a treacherous downward spiral ever since. Between the battlepasses, ads, lack of moderation, and so much more. This game was a social masterpiece, I loved meeting players/people from all over the globe adding friends, starting guilds, getting “rich” together and much much more. But sadly that was all taken away by one financial move. I wish it were different, hoping a game similar will come out in the close future because I truly do love the stripped down plot and meaning of this game, it’s just simply put in the wrong hands. Lots of memories on this game and hoping it can be revived or another game hopefully takes its place.

You urgently need to fix the server connection problems. Not only are you neglecting the game, but you're also diminishing our childhood love for it every day. A giant like Ubisoft can't even keep the game under control like Seth and Hamumu.
I like it
Growtopia allowed me to talk to many people, create friends of mine, learned patience since my crops had to grow, and I had to build and make songs and I had to learn strategies like selling, and how much items were worth. I have gotten so good at this game so many times but the only flaw of getting good is that hackers will get into my account and they will take my stuff that I worked hard for. I know that hackers are not Groot Topia’s fault, but it needs to be put to an end. I have not played Groot Topia in many years due to being hacked, but I’m deciding to install it today to play it just to bring back old memories and hopefully I can get good without getting hacked. I hope Ubisoft takes hacking matter really seriously. Please do and thank you so much for reading this.
Came back from 6 years of not playing and it’s the worse state I’ve ever seen
1. 70 percent of players are bots spamming in every world or bot farming in random worlds 2. The servers are occasionally lagging, if you’re not planning on growing the game, this really shows it. 3. The high inflation caused by Ubisofts greed, adding 50 dollars = 20 million gems because they can’t deal with people selling gem locks cheaper for 2 dollars, since they don’t care enough to put a stop to it. At the end of the day this community has been milked by every drop from ubisofts greed, now there’s no soul left, only a shell of what was. Every creator has left and so did the popularity At this point just delete the game for the sake of the old legacy

Too laggy
Server has been laggy and developer is not doing anything. All the developer wants is money. want people to buy gems but they dont even care about the lags/bots etc. please fix the game before everything crashes and u lose everything
Lost ~10 year old account
Been playing since I was 4 but haven’t logged in for a while and because is the new legacy thing I can’t log in since I have to use a verification code that was sent to the email used when creating the account. However 10 years ago there was no verification process to see if your email used is valid hence I used a fake email. This is largely on me but it is upsetting that I won’t be able to play on that account anymore.
A Niche Game
You don’t really pick up growtopia unless you or a friend have already played it before. The game plays more as a complex economy-driven tycoon powered by “world locks”. But it is disguised as a sandbox RPG. There is tons of scamming, hacking, botting, gambling, and all around rule breaking but thats just the nature of growtopia. I started playing this game over 10 years ago when I randomly downloaded it with my friend. I told my cousin about it and we played it all throughout my childhood and learned the ins and outs of growtopia. We made lots of friends. My cousin is dead now and it won’t be the same without him, but some of my friends still play it once in a while. Tldr: I wouldn’t recommend this game because it’s incredibly complex. If you’ve already been playing it, then you probably hold a lot of good memories here.

You pretty much can’t play the game anymore. The game won’t ever load and if it does, you won’t be able to do anything, even though you have a good connection. Good luck, trying to play this game without a stable Wi-Fi network not to mention that 90% of the players or bots that are using cheats to inflate the economy. This is not a social game anymore. This is all about just making profit and gambling in a casino

Mid game
This game is pretty bad but I did meet my wife on it and she IS the most amazing person I’ve ever met so that kinda balances it out in the end
Server and shadow ban
Good but I hope that the servers can be expanded to a little more than 95k and also fix the shadow ban, I always get keep getting the message ‘make sure you are connected to the internet and not using VPN’. And it’s every time.

I was a long time player that started in 2015. I was banned for using “third party software” after using the TapJoy offer wall. Ubisoft support did nothing. Ubisoft ruins everything that they touch.

Server Issues
Loved this game, but my friends and I keep getting disconnected every 30 minutes, and its not our WiFi. Game locks us out every few minutes and we have to wait for HOURS to get back on.
I would have given more stars if server issues is fixed

I met some of the coolest people on this game met a friend that I knew since I was 12 and another that I met when I was 13 I still talk to them both the economy is bad but I don’t care for it I just wish I could have those old memories back and live them again

Greedy asf, raised the growpass to 20 vouchers when it use to be 10. So if you bought one in the past you can’t get it again by completing the pass. Was my childhood game. Ruined by greed and neglect.

Disappointment
As soon as the player count hits 40k, it starts to lag. Dont even mention when it gets to 90k peak. Its terrible. What took me 30 mins to do now takes up 1.5hrs 💀 As ur consumer, fix ur bot issue and use a better anti hack software. Nonetheless, game is fun.
