App sign-in broken since upgrade to version 8.3
It’s bad enough that you freeze out operation until you forced me to upgrade to version 8.3 but once I did I can’t log in. I present my credentials and the app spends a lot of time “thinking” before timing out with the equivalent of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I tried alternate method of signing in (having sign in code emailed to me). Same outcome.
Fix Please!!!!
Has become unreadable as it keeps crashing! Please fix this or I will not be renewing
Vancouver Sun epaper
The Monday paper is pretty useless as far as learning what went on in B.C. and Canada over the weekend. I find the content of the paper every day over the past year especially, has gone downhill and I will likely end my subscription soon. Press deadline appears to be about 3pm the previous day. No reviews of sports events, or concerts, politics, from the previous afternoon/evening. Not at all like the former Vancouver Sun. As for the content of the paper, and the integrity of reporting, that is a different issue, and not a good one.
Review
Several times lately we don’t receive the paper online. Ex: today we got Friday’s and Saturday. Otherwise love reading online as we can enjoy The Sun whilst on holidays.
Unpredictable
My wife and I have been reading the app every morning for years, but all of a sudden she cannot access the app on her iPad and I have been unable to restore it. So we have decided to terminate our subscription…
No landscape mode on iPad
Only supports portrait mode. Or landscape mode is broken.
Mostly ok
Some what limited sports coverage as MLB is not to be found.
Sports page disaster
Clearly the Sun no longer sends reporters to live sporting events nor does it report box scores any longer. It has no reviews of BC Lions or Vancouver Whitecaps games either
Back copies
I ask that only 3 copies be retained. Instead they fill my hard drive. Can you please, please fix this rather obvious bug.
Easy to read
Really easy to get used to reading the paper this way and sometimes the only way with missed deliveries.
Recent changes make app almost useless
The app was quite good until they removed the option to view in portrait or landscape mode by rotating the iPad. After a week or so they reinstated the ability to rotate from portrait to landscape but only by shrinking the font size and utilizing only a small portion of the screen.
Vancouver sun revue
I enjoy reading the sun because the articles quite often go into very good depth of their subjects. It’s also nice to know that the articles are fact checked and you don’t get any FALSE NEWS.
App crashes frequently
Recently the app has become unusable due to frequent crashing. Post Media needs to fix this.
Van sun ePaper update
When was the ePaper updated. I sometimes need to open it multiple times before it will work. Very frustrating. I went to the apple store thinking that it was my issue but was told that you haven’t updated the app in a while. Please resolve this issue and update the app.

Does good local coverage. Still resent not having a bridge column though
Garbage
Used to be good until recently where they force you to subscribe to read any news. It’s utter madness why anyone would pay for a subscription for this garbage app when they can just use the google news app instead. Shame on you for being as greedy as you are and charging more than some video streaming services just to read the news. I deleted my account and the app. Goodbye and I hope you go out of business.

Be better if you could treat GvRD as your community and focus more on big issues affecting the cities and neighborhoods like homeless and bod real estate developments and relations with indigenous people and drug trafficking etc
Sun paper
News is a day late and sports page is a waste now lack of reporting and can’t put reports of games that are played the day before. Even though the game can start at 4pm. In this computer age you can’t keep up. Very poor

Generally enjoy getting the printed paper. Just wish it was a bit more current but they seem to be closing the presses earlier so evening news does not get printed. Sports news is rarely current. John
Can’t delete past issues
I can’t delete past issues that I have already read. There are now issues that have downloaded going back to 2003. I used to be able to read an issues & after I read it I was able to delete it. please help me rectify this. Something has changed in the app which is not very good.

I have to log out and back in every day. The app is crap. I have contacted you 3 times and I was told I would be contacted when it is resolved. 2 months and waiting
Why bother having two papers if they are almost identical, especially on weekends
The sun is fortunate to print their paper on Saturday, the province is a copy coming out on Sunday. When I look at the headlines of other national newspapers it is very disconcerting to see the many similarities. It is unfortunate to see the lack of independence from government, sponsors and social activists

All the important sports news happens on the weekend but you don't print on Monday so we get no hard copy of sports events . If you want to cut out a days delivery, either make it Tuesday or alternatively cover the weekend sports events in theTuesday paper. Frankly I don't know why I still take the Sunday Province as virtually all articles are right out of Saturdays Sun including the puzzles and comics. The quality of both the print and content has got so bad that it is a disgrace for an area as populated as the lower mainland. I suspect the long range plan is to discontinue all print editions sometime in the future and you are conditioning us to use the online edition

The print is too small. Being forced to view the Monday e edition on internet at no reduction in price is too expensive and abusive.
Great Features
I am liking the new features with ePaper on my iPhone. My Library and being able to remove downloaded editions are helpful.
Content
Content is a fraction of what was previously provided even when you consider the recycled National Post material. Use of an earlier deadline means we have to wait 24 hours for news ans scores we used to get in real time. The QR code for latest info is a joke when you consider the editors forget you are using a device which cant read the code on its own screen. Price has increased while value has decreased.

Passwords are driving me crazy
I don’t have time for passwords on my account. The subscription is paid up to date. I get the paper at my door daily most days but unlike today when there is a problem at the VSun. I go to my app and have to go in and out trying to find the email I registered with, then find the password.. I’m old. I don’t have time for this. I don’t even have time for this review I wrote. And don’t come back with ‘just click remember me’. Have done that many times. My confidence has taken a hit when not even my own devices don’t recognize me…. GailB

For a while was unable to optimize pages at all. Then app would close unexpectedly.

Something changed in the download. Format is not reader friendly. Cannot get larger as before. Hard for those with low vision to read. Especially obits.thumper
Delete vs Remove
Why doesn’t the digital issue delete when I click “Remove From Device”!! It has made my collection a total mess and it’s very frustrating. I want the issue actually REMOVED. Please fix this.

My iphone SE is too small to successfully navigate and read the ePaper so my wife has to buy me an iPad for Christmas. I dislike the new comics and miss Monty and Betty.
