Powerful Updates
Haven’t been on this app in over a year. Came back after finally organizing the apps on my phone. All that to say, the recent updates add more rigor to gaming along with the educational tidbits at the end of each session adds a nice touch.
subscription increase ridiculous
Since the UI redesign and the change in game design and tempo, lumosity has been different and not as enjoyable. My mum, who had been playing lumosity daily for more than a decade by this point, stopped playing entirely. I stayed with it but stopped maintaining my daily streak. I was already planning on unsubscribing before the next cycle, but today’s notification made me do it instantly. A £20 increase? In this economy? Genuinely obscene and laughable. Cancelling sub, and deleting the app. I’ll miss the train of thought game, and in general the games are good, but at the end of the day it’s just one more app that’s keeping me glued to my phone and I’m getting really tired of that — especially with the aforementioned changes. Putting down my phone and reading a book instead.
Love app but locks up
Really enjoy the app: good games, good tracking and feedback. Only problem is that the app locks up before or during a game. I try everything, including deleting the app and downloading again. Nothing seems to work. Other than this, I recommend the app.
Tech issue
Since the recent update, I get stuck on the “continue” page and have to close the app and reopen to proceed.
The problem
The problem with this isn’t the games or it’s format but rather the way it try’s to force you to pay to play
It’s what I’ve been looking for.
The workouts seem like they’re made specifically for a person to wake up and train their brain for what most people think should come naturally in daily thinking skills. It does help tremendously in brain development and getting things on the right track.
Ridiculous pointless app
Lumosity has games that are ridiculous and impossible to beat. Very frustrating. There should be a rating system so you have to play certain games less frequently than the ones you actually like. It’s such bull that you need to pay for all of the games and to get a full breakdown of progress. So the scales they give are inaccurate because you’re not getting the full package unless you pay for it.
Very good
Needs to be less paid but otherwise its fine. good fun games, addicting, really works and gives you all the stats, easy to understand UI and overall a good app. I recommend
Subscription prompt
Used to love this app but now that an annoying subscription prompt keeps popping up mid game to try to get you to upgrade to the paid version - completely ruining your round - it’s a no from me
Lots of faults
This game is good for stimulating your brain, but I’ve noticed a lot of faults in it. For example, in a game where you have to answer whether a number is even or not, 7K (7,000) was shown, of course that is an even number so I answered yes and it said that was incorrect. Don’t know in what world 7,000 is an odd number? I think this games made by AI. Also just wanna add it keeps making me do stupid memory matrix every day but who on earth can remember the placement of 10 random tiles I’m only 20 and I can’t even do that
Extremely fun and interactive.
I love games that help advance my intelligence. This game forces me to concentrate and focus to make progress.
$$
Most of the app is locked if you don't subscribe.
a relaxing challenge
I’m a puzzle person, so this is right up my alley. I’m equally as challenged by the games I love and those that make me cringe. Mastering them is rewarding. It’s been just a few days, but I can tell I’m improving already. Glad I made this purchase. Money well spent.
Problem regarding Subscription
I paid full price for all games. when offered the discount. I am not getting all the games, 2 are locked
Luminosity
You added new goals to Skyrise that I liked seeing and then you changed it back to the old goals which I was disappointed to see again.
Brain training is amazing and fun.
Play for 30 days and you will be sharper by a significant margin.
So Disappointed in This Update Won't Work On My phone
Just letting you know that this update won't download on my phone I tried again, and it still won't work on my phone.
Fun and Fruitfull
Luminosity is a “game” for those of us with a TBI. After 12 months many say they see an improvement in me. While I can’t see one feel improved, I trust I’m healing.
Game keeps crashing during the 3 games tutorial/test
Title; the game consistently keeps crashing during the initial colour matching test, you should probably hire me if you actually want a stable and optimised app
Great, but…🙄
Although it’s a great experience for brain games, I find it too pricy for a monthly charge @ $24.95/mth.
Great mental workout
The games are fun and challenging. Don’t waste your time on the same get-it-in-a-row brainrot. These guys know what they are doing.
Patti
I have been playing for over a year and whilst it is pricey at my age of 76 years It does reach my brain cells. It keeps me mentally alert and stimulated as I’m not interested in playing IT games. Although it grades on individual games it can be frustrating to attain higher goals in scores, but the brain diagram does spread eventually. The reason I have given 4 stars is the attainment goals are slow to reach and after 2 years perhaps I will change. I do have a comparison leader brain game app played together which I also subscribe to and thus app does seem to give more encouragement in its score achievements.
Brain Tools
This is a good option for young and older individuals looking to keep their brain active
Lumosity
Great games useful for keeping my brain working
Latest version crashes repeatedly
This has been a great game app, but the new version today crashes every time I finish one of the tests :(
Fun and creative
Great mental challenges and most creative. Excellent brain training.
Bug
Just downloaded the app after hearing great things. After doing the initial colour matching test the app just keeps crashing and i cant continue.
Hm
It’s really good only 5 stars because I wish less games were under a pay wall
Update terrible
I have been playing these games for years. The new update is frustrating. Games now have very slow responisvity - so if the game texts fast responses, the game is now useless.‘Trouble brewing’ is now unplayable. Did anyone actually play the games after they updated the app?
Too expensive.
I love it. I do hope you will be able to make it more affordable
Speech therapy made easy
I utilizing this app for my high functioning and younger adult patients who have had strokes, TBI, mild dementia etc It’s super helpful that this can be utilizing via a computer so I can use it during virtual session and that it gives you three free games to play daily. Highly recommend for anyone looking to boost their cognition. I play it myself as well!
The prices are crazy and not worth it.
100$ just for a brain game? Do you people have no decency, most of your audience aren’t on the wealthy side. This app is just a huge money grab.
Maybe
I don’t like the facial memory/name game because im memorizing names of people i don’t know. I don’t understand the “magic trick” game at all. Other than that, the games keep my brain exercised. I would like a social cues game much more than a name memorization game.
Okay
Hi I imagines this game was good but why do you have to pay just make it free please. Thanks for reading. Please respond
Not much to do…
I like the app but there is not much that I can do so it would be really nice if they let us use five games instead of three, and add more stuff to do for free 🥺🙏
Great game
Love playing every and It’s really making a difference in my ability to think , process, and apply in my daily life!
Wheres the free game????
You send me an email indicating if i click on the link i can try a memory game. So i click. And im taken to your app. No free game. No info on how to get to the free game. Annoying. Horrible marketing and app-ware management.
Helpful
Really great training for different aspects of my brain. I’ve tried both the free and premium. Premium is significantly better as to be expected, but it’s so costly!
1 week trial not long enough
As the title states, 1 week trial is not long enough to ascertain whether the game is useful enough to pay for the whole year. I think it may have helped my brain become sharper, however - it’s difficult to tell because it’s only been a week. The way the app locks almost all content that I previously played lots and enjoyed is a little bit too coercive. So, thanks for the week of playing but I simply cannot make up my mind (pun intended) in that short space of time. 2 stars given because the games were relatively fun and engaging (some more than others).
Colour blind
Good fun app but frustrating if you are colour blind as some of the excercises rely on colours.
Daily
Daily use this game
New update
The new update is a massive disappointment, specifically the Train of Thought game. Once a fun challenging game (I was on level 14 with a few scores 70+) is now so frustrating. If you make a single error there is zero point carrying on with the game since you can’t progress unless you get a perfect score. This leads to constant quitting the game and restarting. I have cancelled my automatic subscription renewal.
Fun games
I love some of the games but some get too hard too quickly. I know if I can play them at the right progression of difficulty it’d really help me, but sadly some games get too hard and I can’t improve my scores easily. Still some games are lots of fun.
SLOW: Latest update and app upgrade
The latest upgrade to the look of the app has made some games slow. Example: Train of thought: this game has become less responsive…
More free game😔
Overall nice game . But the stats , the progress upgrade everything is in premium even the daily training is premium which is too costly 🧾. Please make things free🥺. Would recommend if u have lots of money 💰.
Great
An excellent brain training program!
Worse than it was
No innovation in 13 years and now 2 steps back. Game streaks now messed up as well as glitches and bumps that were not there before. Indicates very little of the subscription fees has been applied to product development over the years. Shame on them for milking the loyal fans. A lame attempt at an app update that actually made a sad app worse.
Lumosity
Really good for your brain child loves it especially the math and memory one great love definitely recommend
Free play for a few days?
Says a free play of pet detective but don’t know how to get it unless I download app again and do the trial? Please advise? I loved the classic version, mostly for concentration but need a bit more than that?
Wowowowowo
Would’ve been good if I could change my account
