An old but gold game with an unfortunate sound bug.
I played and loved this game since my childhood, but there seems to be a sound bug relating to game center. Upon starting the game, the music and sound will play for a couple of seconds before cutting out when the game center notification bubble pops up. This will put the game in an inescapable silence with no solution. I have tried resetting my device and disabling game Center to no avail. This is unfortunate as I along with probably many are nostalgic to the soundtrack. To Atypical, please fix this as the game holds a special place.
Very poor game
I bought this as a 4 game package,none of them are good,this one is very poor,enemy planes just do loop the loops making it boring and after a couple of minutes you just turn it off,gfx are ok but game play is appauling,enemy shoot you down most of the time before you can even hit them,play BLACK FLIGHT,ten times better than this game and free

I’ve been playing Sky Gamblers for over 10 years. You pick your plane, armament and scrimmage, then begin your battle. There are so many different ways you can play the game; it would be hard to get bored with this game.
Game has changed
Not sure what the issue is but it seems like all there is lately are high level players where they shoot you with one bullet and your dead. Hardly anyone seems to play anymore. Just the same top players or bots just dominate the scene where it’s not skill based anymore it’s just ranking. Becomes impossible to obtain ranking in such a system and ruins the game for all. They should have a scenario where everyone fly’s the same plane and it’s just skill based or offer a year plan say for $5.00 and just let people play on equal footing would probably make more money. I received response from developer complaining that the game is 8 years old and how I can expect people to still, play. Crazy concept chess is a 1000 years old people play. Risk online is old people still play but these games aren’t pay to win. They found a business model where it’s still skill based and the company still makes money and continued making improvements on the existing game. Instead some game company’s now just make a new version of the old game so they can charge again until that game is dead too then make a 3rd version repeat and so on.

Really enjoy this game, but the P47 planes are too powerful. Unfair to everyone else trying to experience the game play with other planes. All those other great plane designs to enjoy flying, but spoiled by someone with a P47.

UPDATE - I am still playing this on my iPad. I’ve unlocked all planes, it’s amazing, a lot of fun, play alone on missions, capture the flag, against others ( bots possibly, also some people) Customization of planes and load out. I’m a senior and still playing this. I’m considering getting the bundle. I have never had a problem. 3/17/16. This is an update review. The game is great. Graphics great. I did buy all the planes & they are customizable. So I still have & play it when I can. One of the best air games with so many options & game modes. If you only buy 1 game-this is it for flying. You can tell a lot of work went into design. There is campaign mode, & many others like team death match & capture the flag. One of best I have come across for flying war games-you have bombs, misses, several types of machine guns. Has kept this old man preoccupied with fun & its achievements. BUY IT-I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH DEVELOPER

I played the game and enjoyed it for 2 minutes. the controls were all confusing and the game was just not interactive enough. And on top of that the game just keeps reinstalling on my phone and every time I delete it again it just comes back in like a day. Personally a bad experience.

So i came back to Sky raiders for the memories and the great soundtracks you have too, but my problem is that it wont fit my XR’s screen fully and it doesn't feel the same, I'm not sure if you have left this game to be but I know a-lot more players are coming back for nostalgia.
needs a better aircraft control system.
I love dog fighting games as much as the next person and I really love this game... except for one issue. I like to use the casual game pad to fly and mainly because I don't want to look like an idiot waving an iPad around to dodge an enemy BF-109's guns. the problem with the game pad controls is that the plane automatically rolls over, (not automatic stabling). my issue with this is that I may want to do a loop but when I get to the peek the starts to roll its self so it's level. I really hate it because: 1. the automatic roll is really slow, 2. I can't preform aerial combat manoeuvres such as the tactical egg or a hammer-head and 3. I want to be able to roll the plane when I need to. What I ask of the developers is to add another control feature were a left game pad controls pitch and roll and the game pad on the right controls the speed and yaw. please do this!
Good app but...
Probably one of the better flying fighter apps around one the App Store with very good graphics but... Developer has informed me that they are not interested in providing ongoing support for app or any further updates. Which is bad news for us users; means developer has basically abandoned app. Can't recommend this app for newer iOS, hardware and 5.5inch screens.

Great game, especially on iPad, and a large community - played against many characters for years. BUT... for weeks now there’s been no access at weekends. It’s like when the last person leaves on Thursday evening, they unplug the servers - or maybe it’s the cleaner. YOU RESPONDED TO THIS BY SAYING THE ISSUE WAS FIXED. BUT ONLY FOR ONE WEEK. NOW WE’RE INTO CHRISTMAS WEEK AND HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO GET ONLINE FOR OVER THREE DAYS. I’M GUESSING THAT WHOEVER SWITCHES EVERYTHING OFF WHEN THEY LEAVE FOR THE WEEKEND HAS DONE THE SAME AGAIN, BUT WON’T BE BACK TILL 2020. YOU HAVE THOUSANDS OF PLAYERS. WHY NOT REWARD THEIR LOYALTY BY LETTING THEM PLAY?!!

It’s a fun game that is easy to play and pretty look at. The choice of airplanes is great. They needed to expand the story. Single player campaign is too short.

1 Star for graphics, 1 for aircraft selection, 0 for the rest. Most disappointing is you have Italian and Soviet fighters, even a Romanian option, but no campaigns for them...that is really lame and killed my excitement...once I saw the plane selections I was looking forward to the possibility of something different, air wars over the Eastern front and North Africa, perhaps a battle of Malta....but no, a stupid made-up aerial campaign in Central America. Really?

One of the best aerial combat games ever!
This is by far the best aerial combat game I have ever played. The WW2 fighter planes and bomber planes are quite well detailed. With intense dogfights and bombing missions, this game allows you to feel what it’s like to fly a World War 2 fighter or bomber. The graphics are so amazing, especially with the historical events.
Worst paid game ever.
No updates with AI that are either OP or fricking stupid. Can't win either way. Physics are way off, and all the same cockpit... for every aircraft, same engine noise. For petes sake update the app. Greedy company just takes your money and sods off.
Great Game
I love the game, it very realistic and has great features.there are some things I would like for you guys to add if you can. Do you think you could add these airplanes?. a B-25 Mitchell, b-24 liberator, B-17G and SBD Dauntless. Also I would like for there to be more campaigns like a Tuskegee campaign where you have to protect b-17s and get them to their target. Now for the review of the controls, features, graphics, and planes. One I would like if you didn’t have to pay for the customizations for the planes like the paint and weapons. The graphics are great not gonna lie but do you think you could make the cockpits different from each other instead of every plane having the same cockpit. Thanks for reading this review.

Wow, that's an awful lot of good reviews for what is a mediocre game! Don't get me wrong, it's pretty to look at but that's where it ends. If you get your kicks from unresponsively yanking your iPad from side to side because you have no other option than to use the gyroscopic controls, please knock yourself out. I wouldn't mind if it hadn't just cost me more that you're average iPad game to buy. Add to that the hideousness of the multiplayer 'could not connect to server' all the time and you have a game that should be amazing but fails again and again. Pretty but without substance.

ok first off brilliant game nice graphics and the planes are great but my only issue is the bugs and in every plane the cockpits are all the same, I have the jet, u would think that the Jets would have more of a fancy cockpit type thing but all the planes cockpits are the same, please try to do something about this so only 4 stars😀👍
