Improvement ideas
This is a great sub sim that’s tons of fun. Some ideas for features to add: 1. Add submarine tenders: It would be cool to be able to rendezvous with a submarine tender in order to repair, refuel and reload the sub. Submarine tenders such as USS Bushnell operated in the pacific during WWII to support US submarines. 2. Friendly ports: It would be nice to be able to start a mission departing a friendly port (ex: Mare Island or Pearl Harbor ). You could also enter a friendly report and dock in order to repair, refuel and reload the sub. 3. External camera view of the submarine to include when submerged: I know this is easier said than done but it would be really cool. Thanks for this superb sub sim. Keep up the great work!
AA Gun Cannot Be Aimed
Apparently a known but unfixed issue, the AA gun cannot be aimed. This aspect of the game is, according, entirely non-working. I am running an iPad Pro with the latest upgrades to both the OS and the app.
Now it has issues
Game now locks up unexpectedly. When using rudder commands, the game puts submarine into uncontrolled circling, both left and right. This makes it very hard to control
Escort torpedos.
This game is great for the most part, it has a good custom mode, the war patrols and campaign work well. The biggest problem is the tendency for escorts to torpedo the players submarine, that is highly historically inaccurate and incredibly frustrating in game.

Virtually impossible to play on a phone.
Useless on a phone. An ok arcade sub game on a pc, but you can forget about managing a difficult battle on a touch screen. Pass on this one.

Why does the game quit near the end of a game sent this review a number of times about the game quitting near the end and so wasting all of that time
WORTH THE MONEY
This game is great! I love how dynamic this game is. You can play it for hours and not get bored with it, the upgrade system is great and I like how you can manage the crew. I think in game random events would be cool like if a crew mate was caught steeling from the mess or maybe two crew mates got into a fight, then you could choose the consequences and your choice could affect the crews mood. Also it would be cool if when your crews been under high levels of stress (depth charges for a long time) that they could begin to rebel or not do their job as well. Also, dev I hope you see this, a PT boat game just like this would be amazing.

Excellent Game
This is the best sub simulator app that I’ve found, and I’ve tried most. When played on the more difficult settings it is HARD and requires a lot of strategy and a little bit of luck to stay alive. It is well worth the price, and has no adds except occasional self promotion when opening the app. Gameplay is never interrupted. I’ve had hundreds of hours of fun and still enjoying it.
Not realistic at all.
I have been sink multiple times by the Japanese Wake homing torpedo. They did not have this in WW2!
Worth the money
I don’t spend money on phone games but I decided to buy this one based off reviews I saw and I am not disappointed. The reason I don’t give 5 stars is because it could be so much better. An external view would be great. The upgrade system is good but I would love to see more subs. The interface is another thing that works with no issues but could be taken to the next level with a more gritty/realistic look.
Best game ever
I’ve played this game for as long as I can remember. Played the same missions again and again. Love love love it. Pretty nearly a perfect game.
Almost perfect sub sim
This is a nice and polished update to the original game! I agree with most of other reviews here with only 2 additional feedbacks: the controls button looks too simple and graphical. I’d wish they look more scumorphic, more looking like old sub controls. The original game had some of that feel. 2nd, the ability to iCloud sync your game so that it can be played on multiple devices. After all, we are in the Apple ecosystem. I have this on iPad and Vision Pro and they both run great. Only wish the games are synchronized. Oh, another point, I love the buy it once app. And the in app purchase expansion is very fair pricing. Good job dev!

Solid fun game. I’ve played most of all the subs sim games from the C-64 till now. Not excessively sim, not to arcade…good balance. Worth the download.
Love This Game!!
Bought and after playing a few times I knew this was a keeper. Jumped on the additional DLC to support the dev and already completed the main campaign and started on DLC. Excellent games.
Fantastic
As long as you arent a Japanese ww2 era troopship / aircraft carrier / battleship / supplyship !!!!! Really enjoyed this little diversion, i play a fair bit of WOW blitz and this is a great counterpart to it - dont need to be online to play, its quite intuitive. The creator is fantastic and always improving it. My only gripe is id like to replay a level with my fully upgraded boat - so like finish medium level then play it again and max out my boat.
A Submarine Veteran’s Review
As a former submariner, I have to say that Crash Dive 2 is one of the most enjoyable submarine games I’ve played in a long time. It strikes a great balance between accessibility and realism. While it’s not meant to be a full-blown simulator like some of the older PC classics, it still captures the tension and tactical thinking that make submarine warfare so fascinating. What I appreciate most is how the game makes you think like a submarine commander. Managing depth, battery levels, silent running, and torpedo solutions creates that familiar feeling of hunting while trying to remain undetected. When destroyers start dropping depth charges and you’re slipping deeper into the ocean hoping your hull holds, the tension feels surprisingly authentic. The controls are intuitive and the interface is clean, which makes it easy to jump into a patrol even if you only have a few minutes to play. At the same time, there’s enough depth in the mechanics to keep things interesting over many patrols. Convoy attacks, night surface engagements, and trying to evade determined escorts keep every mission engaging. Another highlight is how well the game captures the atmosphere of submarine warfare. The sound design, sonar pings, and the sudden shock of nearby explosions really add to the immersion. As someone who served aboard submarines, I find myself coming back to this game often. It’s simply fun. If you enjoy naval history, submarine tactics, or just a good strategy game, Crash Dive 2 is well worth your time.

Fantastic sub simulation on all platforms. My only gripe is the need to often be online to start a game on some platforms. Seems to happen to often. If that can be fixed, 5 out of 5 stars.

Great game. Balances tactical and grand-tactical, arcade and tabletop. Lets the player micro-manage as little or as much as desired. Only criticism is that there is no choice but to play the Amerikan side.
Fantastic
This is far more depth, pun intended, then you would expect for a mobile game. Everything from crew management to torpedo aiming and evasion, damage control, etc. with customization based upon how involved you want to be or how casually you want to play. Honestly it’s probably the most fantastic Sub game. I think I’ve played on a mobile device with single engagements or full campaigns and various levels of difficulty and realism. Fantastic

Excellent game in which I can looses hours very quickly. There is also a good support team that sort issues and bugs out very quickly.
