I’ve had this app for about 15 years. I’ve always loved playing this game although it’s still fun. It’s almost impossible to win prizes now unless I’m spending a ton of money and every time a new mission starts my game lags it doesn’t let me start the mission for several hours, which puts me behind all the computers. It is just so frustrating. It impossible to win anything.
Peak
This game is lowk slept on!! Its like polly pockets mixed with minecraft and its honestly fire. The visuals are really cute and you have a lot of freedom when building your kingdom. The gameplay requires a lot of patience for free to play but imo the slow speed of progress keeps things fresh. It does sometimes just eat your gems which you have to pay for or accumulate very slowly from within the game. and theres no getting them back period. speaking of period, this game is for the girls and the gays cause all the characters are total divas 💅✨ 10/10
EVENT NOT WORKING!!
Can’t buy the items needed for the new dragon event. They’re simply not even available to buy in the market. Plus can’t open any faerie chests. PLEASE FIX!!!

I’m so done with the Elven outpost!!! I have over 5000 bronze not even 200 silver and no gold. Even when I trade good stuff for it Castle Story directors you guys need to do better. I’ve been playing this game since the day it came out and you guys just keep screwing all of us over!!!🤬👿

Don’t bother doing any game installs for tickets or gems as you won’t receive them. Reach out to developer, and they’ll never reply. Other than that, the game gives plenty of different tasks and challenges to complete to keep you busy.

I absolutely love this adorable game. It’s so relaxing and a fun way to escape the day.
System down since 5/15/22
Can’t open it keeps saying that it’s something wrong with my internet but it’s not I been playing for years I tried opening the app again and same thing happens.
Addictive but bit of a scam
I HAVE to rate it highly because no matter how mad I get with the endless glitches (never put too many things in your kingdom at once or take too many things out!) and them giving us cool stuff then taking it away later to make the game harder, I can’t get myself to delete it. I think the thing they could do to make us old users happiest is let us go to level 99 instead of 50, with all the continuing bonus of being able to level up. I often go on sprees and during one of these I’ll always spend upwards 20 dollars. Events can’t be won without real money so if you want cool stuff… (yes, even if you babysit the game). Positives… well, plenty of stuff to do, I like the theme and it’s almost too much fun. They know how to make you spend!!! But they always add new stuff so even if you uncover all the land they will just add more or put new events or quests or changes to make you keep playing. So, very fun and long. You can enjoy it for a long time… especially if you don’t spend money because you’ll be going snail pace trust me!

Honestly, this is a fun game but you have to be rich to play it, and to be able to enjoy playing it. Doing anything on this game requires a lot of time, and you accomplish very little in all the time you put in. Items you need are impossible to get, and you need alot of them. This game just wants your real money.

I like this game, but the challenges need to be changed. They take too long to complete and are too repetitive. Have us do different things instead of repeating the same things that take forever. It is very frustrating

This used to be such a great game to play, but they stopped taking care of it and doing updates.
Great game-few issues
I have been playing this game for years, love it, but agree with other reviewers about the gems, accidentally using them while collecting milk, eggs etc Once a quest is finished it would be good to sell all the objects that are no longer needed instead of adding to your inventory.
Too many bugs
Trying to kill a golem which is suppose to drop tokens to trade at the wagon, there are no tokens. Stoped at 44 when I know 120 is max. When killing stouts to get the required items to complete quests, the items are not dropped. When I sent a message to support they said they don’t give hints. I wasn’t looking for a hint. Fix the darn game. Time to stop playing again.
More expansions
I have several neighbors who are frustrated because there are no more expansions. Can you work on that? Thank you. I like the story line sometimes but my favorite is monster hunt & realm master. It took me a while to figure out how to get red panda forward. Game usually directs you where to craft an item. But I had to tap on a lot of items (farm houses,etc) to figure out where to craft them. Please make more expansions!!! Thank you.

Don’t Waste Your Time
I used to like playing but recently all my energy goes to killing monsters, which take up all your energy (50) to take out and as soon as you finally finish, you clock on on item and immediately get another monster that takes up another 50 energy to take out. You can’t do anything else in the game because all your energy goes to taking out a stupid monster that takes up more energy than the max (40). Monster is killed in 50 energy. Max energy is 40. The second you finish, you get another one. Whets the point? You can’t do anything else because you get another immediately. I only had a chance to click on 1 building before getting another monster that takes up 50 energy. I’m deleting this stupid game. Who ever came up with the idea that monsters that take up more energy than the max is a good idea and the frequency of these monsters must not have a half a brain.
Forgot
I love this game. However, the challenges are too long. There aren’t enough lives and some of the targets are absolutely impossible to get to. I’ve been trying for almost a year for some of the challenges which is very disheartening. I think there should be more levels than 50. I think the developers have forgotten, those dedicated to this game. Some of the characters like the flygers that you have to make with special coins are good fun but you need to make them less expensive and get them to drop more rewarding items. You shouldn’t have to spend physical money to try and complete any of the challenges. Otherwise, I can’t like this game

It started out fun but quickly got boring waiting for energy all the time. Couldn’t get the town built, my favorite part. Then it turned into fighting off intruders which also saps energy. Then more kinds of beasts intruders to fight. Literally one after another and uses all the energy, good riddance
Fun game
I keep coming back. I want to expand to the one unknown territory.
Garbage
When I first loaded the game it was already off to a horrible start. It took literally ten minutes to load for the first time and then crashed immediately. I had to repeat this four more times until it finally worked. And than I couldn't scroll/move around or tap any icons the only thing I could do was access my quests and do stuff from there. I would tap the icon above the farm to plant and it would do nothing.
My Gems Disappeared
Unable to contact storm 8 but I paid for gems and had around 400 and then played the next day and they had disappeared leaving me with only 90. Fun game but temperamental.
Game Crashing
I love this game. I have been playing this game for over 15 years, but over the last 4 to 5 month when I open the game - it will crash immediately after. So I have to open it again, and it will crash again. This cycle will go on for 20 to 25 or more times before the game will stay open so I can play. It has become very frustrating. I have tried every suggestion in the forums to fix the problem, but nothing works.
Gem issue
I love this game and have been playing for about 10+ years, and it is the only Storm game that doesn’t have stupid ads when you click on stuff, so thanks for that, but there is a serious issue with the gems being used accidentally!! I have saved up gems COUNTLESS times and clicked on things and used them when I didn’t want to!!! That is NOT right. Why doesn’t this game ask you if you want to buy before spending all of your gems? I even emailed Storm asking for the gems back and received the rudest most robotic reply back that there was nothing to be done. I bought those gems with my money and there is nothing to be done? BS.
FUN! Still playing after all these years
After taking a break with. too many life events I am back to enjoy my kingdom 🌞
Too many glitches/ no way to contact support
The worst part of this game is all of the glitches and there being no way to contact support to have them corrected. It’s constantly resetting after you’ve already collected items that you’ll lose. I’m currently doing a timed goal. I’m in level 7/10 and it says to collect from from old Thomas house to move onward. I’ve collected from old Thomas 4x already and I’m still in the same spot. Very frustrating
Castle story
Great game but comes with lots of faults like the current storyline I’ve been on for over two years collecting travellers brew it’s been a long story Also expansions take forever to accrue you can literally spend all week trying to get 30 tickets for one expansion ticket and it’s so easy to spend gems like others have stated you should have an option to say no or that’s it 2.99 out of your bank and you can’t stop it More time to complete storylines and more energy would make this game a lot better stop putting time limits on storylines that are beyond our reach to finish!!!

I like the game. But it cost to much to complete the adventures. Plus they never used to have them so often. Then there are to many times that the game blanks off screen and you lose what you earned. Need to listen to the players.

Lamest game on earth
had to download this trash game just for gems on Bakery story and i’m struggling to get to level 9 for the 2 extra gems bc this game is THAT dang boring. There is nothing exciting about it. It’s honestly a snoozefest and I could care less about any of it and xp takes forever to grow
Almost excellent
I really enjoy this game, but the special projects are very difficult to complete. For example in the last game I did, you required 15 pieces of wool from the rabbit family to continue to the next level. However, it took 4 hours to recharge the rabbits. Far too long. Also whenever it is necessary to receive items from other game players it can take up to 4 days to complete, therefore making the final reward completely not possible. I like the game but during special events, please make the rewards easier to achieve. Could you also please consider bringing back some of the challenges so that they can be completed from where was left off last time.
Cannot progress without paying extra
I really like this game and actually advanced to a high level years ago. That account cannot be recovered though according to Storm 8 so I started again. I’ve just deleted because there’s too much I cannot access without buying gems. The load times for visiting neighbours are also too long. Shame.
Review of CS
I have been playing Castle Story for almost since it’s beginning. I am sorry to be noticing more & more that more that the game is becoming more about how to get players to spend cash, than just enjoy the game. This newest ‘adventure’ is requiring outrageous amounts of time & resources. It’s sad to see Castle Story evolving in this direction😔 There would have been a 5 star rating until just the last few months😔
Awesome Game
It’s a great game but you have some glitches that no one is fixing. I’ve reported one to your support and gotten no response. Ivy is stock, her plot of land is still locked, and there is no option to unlock it anymore. So now I’ve got that plot of land and can’t do anything with it or with Ivy or her quest line.
Takes away
After getting items & energy from the adventures, this game will do a refresh , I have to retap the castle & the items & energy I got before, well I did not get it, nothing as before & everything was in my inventory but not after the refresh & I will thank that update, in which they are not in the habit of doing At one time this game was fun but now it’s seems harder than ever :( so disappointed
Great Game - Some problems need resolving
This is a great game that I’ve been playing almost from it starting, but, it does have some long standing problems that need resolving. The main one being the Gem Traps! I have lost hundreds of gems to these, as have my friends, and from reading the reviews, so have many more. Definitely NOT a fair way to obtain our hard earned gems! Inventory - mine is full to overflowing with unwanted items. We need a way to delete things we do not need because they slow the game down. Recent quests are not only taking far too much time and energy, but the prizes are definitely not worth the effort. Please, not only listen to what we are saying, but act on it. You have a great many loyal followers but you risk losing them by not heeding what we say.

Slow loading the game, extending the kingdom is taking too long, too many products, I’ve only been playing for a little while and I’m struggling with extending my kingdom.
Great and bad
Great game. But it crashes so much it's insane. And costs for gems is outrageous. I believe in paying to support developers. But the cost is unreasonable. E.g. pay $20 for one item. It's stupid because I would spend $20 if I could get a few items. I think the developers need to rethink the prices because I would spend more money it the game. I suspect revenue would go up. Anyways. It's a fun cute game that goes beyond the typical building game with quests and story line. I do love it. But the crashes and cost knock off stars. If you are patient with crashes and have money to spend. Then it's a 5 star game.
Addicting regret
Been a long time time player, so can attest to its attractiveness. Stopped playing from time to time, out of frustration, but always picked up where I left off. Lots of beauty & fun to be had.
Another unplayable builder app
28 energy is ridiculous. Who are the fools rating this high? You can only play for a minute until energy is gone.
Not enough energy!
Love this game, butyou never manage to get enough gold nuggets etc quickly enough to finish quests without forcing you to spend real money- unfair. Really disappointed that it isn't snowy for winter like its sister game Farm story especially when it's marketed for winter. When you have reached level 50 it would be good to turn off the experience points as that gets annoying
Listen to your players!!
I used to love this game - when I wasn’t bothered about completing any of the storylines. I decided to try the latest one and it is basically impossible to complete without spending money! Seeing in other comments other players have the same gripe. Takes way too long to make stuff with only 2 kitchens allowed and the expansion permits/lanterns needed for expansions are prohibitive. It makes me not want to play the game as I feel like I’m not getting anywhere.
Past It’s HeyDay
I have played this since pretty much its inception and as the expression goes, I think they have outgrown their britches. The glitching, rollbacks, errors, etc have outpaced the quality control and customer service. They’re in over their heads and I think their servers must be smoking. I only keep going because I have invested so much and put in so much time. When it is working, it is very enjoyable and there’s lots of cute creatures and activities to do but it also does make you want to curse….more frequently than I’d like to admit.
