Interesting concept that works
Unbelievable how accurate this is. I do this about once per week and show the results to my dr. Gives me peace of mind.
Slow and Hard to Work With
I do think the app is organized, however it’s SO difficult to work with and it takes like ten tries each time you want to record your heart rate. I tried using this for a class, but by the time it recorded, my heart rate would lower after a workout. It’s just not reliable and I’ve talked to some of my friends who used this app for the same reason and they had the same issues with it. Do not recommend.
Mostly accurate
I use this app to track my waking heart rate and the times when I exercise. Most of the time, it’s easy to use and to get an accurate reading. Sometimes, it can read that my finger is blocking the camera lens, but it won’t give me an accurate reading. Other times it has difficulty locking onto my finger at all. So, mixed review.

The endurance score is no longer working as it did. Seems to be fixed.

Poor signal quality?
I will watch as the app measures my heart rate and stays in a very narrow range as I hold my finger over the camera for however long. It seems perfect, but then it just says “poor signal quality” with no other explanation. The signal quality was in fact not poor as I watched the data being collected and it seemed to be very consistent throughout the entire process. I need to use this app to properly measure my heart rate, and it is not doing what it claims to be good at.

I’m enjoying the app but the only issue I have is that there is no blood monitor
Doesn’t work
Every time I used it, it measured the heart rate for quite a long time. Then, at the very end, it said “poor signal” and terminated. This is a terrible product. I deleted it, and I don’t miss it at all.

Price misrepresented
The info shown for In App Purchases and the review I read said you can upgrade to Pro for a one-time fee of $9.99. But that isn't true. It’s a subscription model for $39.99/year. That's BIG difference.
Better Cardio Apps out there

Didn’t work
Every time I tried said poor signal and couldn’t do a reading no matter how I adjusted the light and camera. Other similar apps worked much better and actually worked. Disappointed.

App causes raised heart rate
I got this for a 3-day trial. The sensor is so finicky that it keeps saying “Please keep still” over and over - even when I’m still. And I have neither old age nor Parkinson’s to cause tremors that would throw off the readings. The constant struggle to get a reading raised my anxiety and my heart rate. Forget paying the full year membership - I don’t need more technostress and dealing with things that don’t work.
Inaccurate off the chart
Terrible accuracy.most of the readings are in the hundreds.I’ve tried sitting still and doing everything right way but still gives readings all over the place.if I had cardiophobia or hypercondria I’d have lost my mind by now and had lots of hospital visits.but I’ve not .I used it after walking or excercise.I’m sure the app will get better but I’ve now got an Apple Watch.👍👍

Awesome Monitor
I have many heart issues including an implanted defibrillator and Cardiio helps me monitor my heart rate and will warn me if it gets too low or too high. That is very important for my peace of mind.
Buyer Beware
I thought by the “ heart rate checker and beat analyzer” description that this would actually give me a wave form like an ECG. All it does is give you the whip more like a pulse ox. I’m capable of counting my own pulse so this was a disappointment for me. I’m hoping to get a refund as it’s just been about an hour since I bought it and realized that it wasn’t what I thought it was.

Heartbeat History not being recorded
I put my finger over the camera light on my iPhone and I can see a heartbeat reading. I take my finger off and that reading is not recorded or stored anywhere. I have paid the extra £8.99. But my heartbeat results are not being recorded, ie no History. I am getting SSL error messages cannot connect to server ? All my other apps are working. What is wrong with this app??

Dupe for Cardiogram
This app is a dupe for the Cardiogram- do not buy. It does not work as well and is a waste of money. I’m not sure what happened to the original cardiogram if it was discontinued.
Works but not very useful
Cardiio works well enough to measure pulse indoors. Outdoors, I have not yet managed to get it to take a reading. This is probably because the camera flash is overpowered by the daylight. You cannot get round this by covering the lens more tightly as Cardiio then tells you to cover more softly, whereupon it fails because of the ambient light. A pulse oximeter has the same problem outdoors. Any device with a tiny flash will have a struggle against daylight. Honestly though, it is just as easy to start the iphone timer, put your fingers on your wrist and count your pulse for 30 seconds.

The app itself is good but a lot of the time getting your heart rate is tiresome. You need to get your finger exactly in the right spot which takes a few goes.

Bad readings
This app barely gets readings. It takes 8-10 tries for me to get a reading for an app that claims do be so great it is terrible! Waisted money will not be renewing this app that is for sure!!!!!
HR monitor
Capable readout! However, I had some minor issues learning how to configure my fingers on the iPhone 12 flash. The HR monitor works well at rest. During exercise, the quiet pause may affect the readout.

Not so great with a new iPhone
I have been using this for years, but it is now very tricky to get a reading, as the led/flash and the camera the app uses are far apart on my new iPhone 12. I’m surprised they haven’t done anything about this yet, as the iPhone 11 also had this arrangement of lenses. It’s just a faff now and the quality of the measurement is poorer.

Horrible app. Keeps saying that I need to warm my fingers or not press too hard. I can’t warm my fingers so that’s not possible. What a joke.
