Regarding Update
I had a brief problem with this app after I updated it. When I opened the app, the screen was just black. Later that day it was fine. I've updated my review to reflect this. I've used this app for many years and have always been satisfied.
No longer worth it
Very disappointed in the service. Used to have a lot more available in the library with a subscription and now everything needs to be unlocked.

Very glitchy
I have many days where I cannot open the app, listen to the book that I’ve paid for. All morning, my app has shown just a black screen… How do I even get help??
It’s not great
I hate this app, the only good thing about it is the 3 titles a month. If I didn’t already have my favorite audio books on here I wouldn’t waste my money on it. It will not play titles when you don’t have service even when you have them downloaded. I listen to books on my 45 minute drive to and from work and there’s many spots without service. If I forget to start playing a book while I have wifi at home it takes so long for it to load and play something.
Best audio book app
I have used this app for 8 years. And Scibed before it was bought by Everand. I absolutely love it and it’s was cheaper than audible
Doesn’t have enough books
The two series I was hoping to read were not available.
Needs reading goals and tracking
It’s such an amazing app but it needs more features like reading goals, a ‘finished reading’ section so that i can track what i read.
Glitchy
Not sure if it’s just my phone but the app constantly signs me out even while in the middle of a chapter and then doesn’t let me sign back in without a million tries first, restarting my phone and turning my WiFi off and back on. I’m currently on my free trial and if this is how the app runs I don’t think I’ll be keeping this subscription.
Impossible to update/change payment method
It’s so hard to update/change anything. And you can’t continue to listen to what you’ve unlocked if you don’t pay. At least with audible you can listen to what you’ve unlocked spent your money on even after you stop paying.
Love this app!
I’ve listened to many books already! The credits role over as well. I took a pause for 2 months came back and had over 8 credits, which I have been enjoying. I like that option because a popular listening app doesn’t do that and they charge more money for extra listening hours which is super annoying.
Can’t keep titles if you cancel?
I had canceled my membership, but downloaded titles that I paid for and when the membership ended, I was no longer able to listen to the titles I had downloaded… So I don’t know if this was a fluke what happened or if this is something where you pay for a service but you don’t actually get to keep what you’re downloading? Even with Audible, you can keep the books after you’re done using the service. I don’t understand or agree with that. If this is not how it’s supposed to be, please Everand message me and let me know… So I had to renew my subscription, but lost my Fable discount just finished the books I was listening to. I ended up chatting with the AI bought that they have instead of a real human, it is confirmed that you pay for this in these unlocks, but you don’t own the books. I will be canceling my membership. I will do my best to listen to all of the books I “ purchased” before the subscription ends and I will be advising people not to use this service. That’s honestly absolute trash. What is the point in this app? May as well go back to Audible or I can keep my books after using my credits.
Getting better
I am primarily looking for audiobooks. Although the selection is still small, it is still good value for money and I much prefer to have unlimited reads per month that Everand offers rather than the Audible system. I don’t not want to buy the books, just read them.
Misleading adds
So I have been a long time user of both audible and Scribd and now it’s evolved product Everand from Its very beginning as I had been saving and listening to audiobooks on Scribd for many years already. Eventually as money got thinner I made the choice to remove one of the audio books apps and specifically chose to keep Audible because once I purchased a book, I was able to continue to have access whether for my membership with Amazon or not, I may not have gotten any more books, but I could always and re-listen to anything I had already purchased, and that was not the way it was with this app. So when the new commercials came out, I decided to give this app another chance and I actually went as far as purchasing additional credits to buy entire series only to find out that the books I purchased before and saved before we are no longer available to me and if I stopped paying the new books, I bought cease to be available to me.
App
App not working. I click on and only get black screen. Have to come to Apps store to click “open” to get it to work.
Great app
The latest update seems to have fixed the issue of the book restarting. If that lasts then I’d rate the app 5 stars. My only complaint is that when I go to a book and read the description and click on “more” to read the whole description it doesn’t just expand the description, it opens in a whole new window. Then I have to find my place in the description or start reading it all over again. It just seems like an unnecessary and annoying extra step.
Trial
So, Tmobile has a 90 trial but when I signed up I only got 30 days. No humans available to fix the issue. Im just gonna pass honestly. Im not waiting 48 hours to fix this
Muy buena app
Personalmente creo que es la mejor aplicación que he encontrado para libros y audiolibros que he usado, lo único que creo que podrían implementar, es poder escuchar un audiolibro, mientras lees el libro, también deberían de avisar con tiempo cuando van a bajar temporalmente o permanentemente un libro o audiolibro.
Very slow
It takes forever to pull up your audio book and it is not user friendly.
Sketchy Audio
I have two complaints, with the second being a direct result of the first. 1 - The main issue here is that I’ve had multiple books’ audio cut out while the player shows it is still playing. The only way to get the audio to play is to close the app, reopen it, and rewind to wherever you were before the audio cut out. This isn’t a permanent fix either as it’ll cut out again within minutes. 2 - This app is not safe to use via Bluetooth while driving. With the audio dropping out and the only way to fix it being closing and reopening the app, this is not a hands free compatible app. I’m not sure how many of you also like to listen to books while driving but if that’s your thing - this app isn’t safe for it. I wish I could blame the audio on spotty signal but it still happens on Wi-Fi at home and at work. I was just charged for my membership this morning and noted that the price was raised by a couple dollars. I didn’t think it was worth $9.99 when these issues started so I definitely don’t want to pay more than $10. I’ll be looking for an alternative audiobook service after this month runs out. I’ve come to update this review a while later. I left the app and came back after the rebrand to Everand. For the most part they have fixed the spotty connection issue but it is far from perfect. I still experience random disruptions and it’s not on my WiFi’s end so it has to be on the developers. Since the rebrand - you get 3 books a month instead of 1 so honestly that’s the only thing keeping me here since they’ve only halfheartedly fixed the spotty connection issue.
Very thankful
I like the fact that the credits roll over the next month… which means if you use them wisely you’ll be able to read as many books as you want each month… Thank You Everand for that cool perk.. this app gets me through my work shift and drive home..
Unserious
The first book I previewed bugged out the app, the pages wouldn't flip and I couldn't go back without closing and reopening. The second book I searched for (DCC) apparently isn't available. Cancelled subscription. For the cost, it makes 0 sense to use this service.

Light theme not working properly
Please fix the interface
The main page is too saturated with different titles and other unnecessary things. At points I’m unable to find the books that I’ve unlocked. I think the main page should be your unlocked books. Overall, the app is just not intuitive and that’s a shame.
I tried…
Got tired of Audible hiding the Plus Catalog and made the switch. The app seemed to not work as often as it worked just hangs like it’s loading my books, but never does. When it did work, it forgot my place in my book about 30% of the time. (Troubleshooting, updating, uninstalling and reinstalling did not resolve). Might try again someday if they ever fix the app.
Audio not loading
For the last weeks I have been getting error that audio player cannot be loaded and cannot play it. Making the app useless
App issues
I’m hoping this will catch some attention there a serious problem recently now when I’m in a audiobook and I stop listening the app doesn’t save where I left off now I’m having to keep remembering where I left off and I didn’t have to do that before and it’s effecting my progress on fable too this is pretty inconvenient
Minor bug on downloads, besides that everything’s excellent
The main benefit is the extensive catalog of content, between audiobooks and ebooks I wish I had more time to consume more; but on my cellphone (updated IOS) when I want to open my downloads the app crashes, hope you could fix this since is the main section I use.
The app is very buggy
I appreciate the audio preview. But the app is very buggy, even after using a credit. The player randomly stops requiring me to restart my phone, delete and re-download the app, or a variety of other work arounds.
Used to love it
I used to absolutely love this app and unfortunately I’ve already dumped so much money into this service and have so many books that I need to finish that I can’t cancel yet. But, I am so beyond tired of it losing my spot in books. I don’t always keep track of exactly where I left off and every single time I open the app, it puts me back by 5-10 chapters. I then have to click through and listen and try to find where I left off. It’s driving me absolutely nuts and I’m about to cancel out of sheer principle at this point. Fix it.
I love everand
I feel the app deserves more love than people saying in the comments. People want free books which is not possible, and the app manages this well by offering a two tiers membership. I love that I can pause my membership when I don’t have the time to listen. I been having my everand account for years now and it never disappointed me. Keep going, team!
Weird subscription terms
You only have access to the books you buy while paying for the subscription, and you lose access to your unused “unlocks” if you don’t use them in 6 months. I don’t understand why you have to use unlocks to read books, if you can only access them while paying for the subscription. With Kindle Unlimited, you keep the access to the books you purchase with your monthly point, AND you can borrow up to 20 books at a time that are available with the membership. I’d love to stop using Amazon, but this membership just doesn’t make any sense. It would be like if Hulu or a Netflix only let you watch 1-3 shows a month.

Needs autosave note feature.
I would give 5 stars if they worked in a feature that autosaves notes. It can be very frustrating when youre a paragraph deep into annotating, then the app swipes out and saves absolutely nothing…. Kinda seems like a no brainer but I digress.
Issues
Lately every time I use this app when I go back to listen it starts the book over at the beginning. Absolutely infuriating. I thought it was something I was doing wrong but it keeps happening. Some other goofy quirks that annoy me too before this
Excellent app
One of the best apps I've come across recently, affordable price
Terrible UI, poor chapter partitions, poor audio quality, worse DRM than Amazon
Why on earth does this app create chapter partitions that don’t align with the actual chapter partitions within the book you’re reading/listening to? Just makes it impossible to track where you’re at for folks who cycle between reading/listening, which i assume a lot of folks are. The app generated chapters label themselves too, choosing random word phrases from the 30 sec passage they’ve been partitioned from, extremely confusing and hard to track spatially through any given text. I won’t be subscribing after i finish my first audiobook via this app. The app also plays at a significantly lower volume than Audible or Libby and has a worse selection. It also appears you do not retain listening rights without an active subscription. I didn’t think DRM could get much worse than Amazon but apparently it can.
Add a feature to read e books out loud
You should add a feature so that we can listen to the e books that are not available in audiobook format!
Many problems
Tried to like it. Great selection of Audio books, but App would not let me upgrade to the 5 books per month plan. App lost track of where you stopped for the day. Getting help, even with a help ticket is next to impossible.
Audiobook Restarts
The issue that keeps causing audiobooks to restart really needs to be fixed. It’s incredibly irritating. I’ve been using the app for a while now and this is a recent issue, like within the last few months. But it’s enough to make me want to stop using the app altogether if I’m being honest. To the developers, please get it handled.

Issues with trials & subscriptions
I signed up for a 30 day trial via App Store, but nothing appeared to work in the app (and the onboarding flow looked broken). I then signed up for a 30 day trial directly with Everand. Ultimately the service wasn’t right for me, so I cancelled well before the 30 days, making sure to cancel both within Everand app and App Store, and yet I was billed for a full month regardless.
Great app
There are some really good books available with more being added all of the time. It has introduced to me many new authors. I listen to audiobooks most days and can generally find something great to listen to. The only improvement that I would like to see is the ability to sort completed books from your unread saved books. I have a huge list of saved books and like to keep them saved so I know what I have read. But have to scroll through them all when looking for something unread in my saved list.
Too many bugs
I regularly experience trouble signing in, even by trying it on separate devices. Help center did not help me figure out this issue
Not what it used to be
I’ve had a subscription for a long time and always loved this app. I found more recently that I could not find as much as I used too then the subscription format changed. I changed my subscription and the day I was to get a new credit it wasn’t available to me, my payment got processed but I couldn’t access a new book. The following day it worked. I finished the book within a couple weeks and unless I want to double my subscription cost I have to wait. At the very least you should allow credits to carry over like other apps due. Subscription cancelled

Love that unlocks roll over now. Absolutely loathe that the app glitches and restarts the book multiple times a day. I’ve tried reinstalling the app and everything with no improvement
Used to love
I used this app for over 5 years and loved it. I would’ve give 5 stars if the recent hadn’t occurred. I’m giving it 3 cause I did love it … and now the new subscription model makes no sense at all. One unlock a month for 12.99us or three unlocks for like 25 us. I don’t typically read latest releases so there’s no value in this product for me anymore. Perhaps if you’re reading “premium” or top sellers it would be worth it ?
