I retired just a couple months ago and I’ve been looking for a senior housing apartment complex. Zillow had the most up-to-date the most complete listings. I have no idea how relieved as I found a place in Idaho Falls where I’m from Idaho. Zillow thank you thank you thank you.
Scammers
You can pass the credit & background checks with flying colors and they will still deny you. So it’s about 55$ each adult so you do that a 100+ times you don’t need to rent your property out because they are literally making bank off of us the people who need a place to rent.
Zillow rental application
I have been trying to fill out the application on Zillow for a few months I have deleted the app and everything to try and complete the application but it still tells me I can’t verify my identity but I was able to fill everything else out but over all a good site to look for what you need in your price range
Filters/ descriptions
I didn’t want to see 55+ communities so I selected don’t show,still showed up upon reading description, also stayed in a specific range for price but again upon reading the listing fees upon fees upon fees and now the monthly rent is 2,000 not 1,800 either it’s a filter problem or we should be able to report the listing that are not correct. I have to read each listing to confirm the right information I might as well do my search manually. Also would like to have an option to leave review of the listings to learn about other experiences in applying or who have lived there.
Say What you Mean
If set filter at “3+” for bathrooms. Stop showing me 2.5. If set filter for house — stop showing me condos and townhomes! What is the point of a filter!?

Fee for screening reports
I paid my fee and the app still says I need to a pay again for my screening reports. I paid 2 days ago with no luck through customer service. I’ve used this app many times to apply to apartments and this is the first time they took my money with no access to my screening reports. Feels like a scam.

The only reason I didn’t give a five star rating was the inability for me to fully complete my profile or add detail to the profile.

It is so hard to navigate to my rental for every monthly payment. Why can’t you have a separate app for renters where the landlord is using Zillow as their rental management platform?
Best Companion
Thanks to this app I was able to hunt and compare virtually until I found my current apartment a couple months ago and now a friend is using it to move closer to me. I definitely recommend this app.
Scammed customer
I paid the fee to get background check and credit and then was still unable to apply for places. When I tried to contact customer support they never replied. There is no contact number so if it doesn’t work your just out of your hard earned money and no one complained to
Useful application to find new house in new place for strange people!
Designed layout to find easily and visiblized colors.
Message scrolling
Can easily scroll through the app but messages can’t scroll while reading the messages. Go to read what’s on top of a single message and it won’t let you. Ended up asking everyone to send info to my yahoo email instead.
Can’t customize minimum square feet
The app is okay but only being able to pick minimum square feet that jumps up by 250 sq ft at a time is frustrating.

You need to allow people to rate establishments that put places for rent i.e. meaning you apply Center request for a tour request to apply and you get no response. We should be allowed to review and put a star rating so that way no one else will try to apply with that person because they leave people with no response for weeks on end so that way people that are actually looking for a place can find people that are actually wanting to rent their places out
Found apt and signed in 4 days
Excellent app, easy to use, found the apartment we wanted, booked a tour the next day, signed a lease the day after. Never had to deal with a listing agent such an easy process.
Be careful with this app
Don't fall for scammers' traps. They ask for money before showing you the property or the unit; it all turns out to be fake. Some use forged credentials or false information, claiming to be realtors or owners when they aren't. Never pay any money upfront without seeing the property first. Check with the responsible agencies; if these people want to rent to you, they should show you the property first without asking for money. Report them.
Would get five stars if...
...it didn't grab and leave up old listings from third-parties without those parties' consent. More than a couple listings have turned out to be rented out already and agents have hung up on me when I mentioned Zillow.
Useless
They allow landlords to avoid direct questions countless times and the second you call them out on it, it’s against good neighbor policy. its unprofessional to waste time and avoid questions and these are the landlords yall allow to repeatedly list overpriced, poor properties.
Been using it for years
Have used Zillow rental app/site for many apartments. Currently live in a place that uses Zillow rental manager… I think that if they can verify the renter then we should be allowed to leave reviews on the property/unit for future renters. Thank you!

Not user friendly
Doesn’t let you report any errors or possible spam with listings anymore. When you click on report listing it now takes you to the help section of the website with zero actual help or any way to submit the report. You used to be able to easily pick what’s wrong with the listing such as spam or wrong location. Stupid.

Would live to have more options for finding exact likes
More useless than helpful
It would be better if I didn’t get as million notifications every day about rentals that don’t meet my criteria. If I say I have a pet, don’t notify me about places that don’t allow pets.
Long term days on Zillow
Super annoying that Zillow lists rentals for hundreds and hundreds of days without requiring these rentals to remove their listings. These are clearing vacation rentals, most of which have limited to no availability.
Rental app with map
I like this app. It lets me search by Zip code and has a map. I can also filter results. Smooth interface.
Nothing but scams
Zillow used to be credible, but now finding a legitimate posting is nearly impossible! My family and I have searched for months now and all we keep finding are scam posts. My brother got scammed out of $300 and he toured the apartment! If zillow is not going to try to find a way to ensure postings are legitimate, don’t even bother using their app or site.

Zillow Rentals
I love the variety of houses, condos, and apartments every single one has great qualities and great prices. The only thing is when I went to go look a few some of the listings didn't have many pictures to go off of. I would suggest that the listing have an appropriate number of pictures before being posted on the site. I'm a visual person and I like to see what I'm getting. Like me I'm not in country and all I have to go off of is two pictures and a birds eye view, I can't just easily call the realtor and schedule a showing of the house. But other than that this app is great I love all the features like the saved items and the ❤️ like button. I love it and hopefully I can't find me and my finances new home.

A Great Application
I like it, I rented my current residence via Zillow and it was exactly as it was described with ease of access to many displayed rentals.
Does not save tags
The saved tag feature would be nice if it actually worked!
US-only
The Zillow app has a nice interface and seems to be pretty slick. It would be quite helpful in finding a new place, were I in the right country. Seeing as I'm in Canada and not moving to the States, the app is a disappointment, as it will offer no utility to me at all. I'm surprised Apple doesn't properly filter for this kind of stuff.

Moving to Houston in a few months and love this app for searching. Very up to date listings and easy to use.
Useless and invasive
I find Zillow virtually useless and invasive. I’ll write an add to find out information and before I know it, someone’s calling my phone. I do not ask them to, I do not give them my phone number and I do not consent to them contacting me outside of the Zillow app. I’ve also ran into some really kooky people that ended up being kicked off this site for improper questions. Skip Zillow. I am in the future.
