Poor customer support
There is no way to communicate with HBF thorough written communication in the app. On 2 occasions. I have phoned HBF and staff have not recorded notes, so when I follow-up they say they have no record of what I am saying. They ghosted me on email and I have not heard from them, no matter how many times I email asking for a response. Such a shame because back when they had Midland Branch, they were amazing.
Date missing on historical claims
The historical claims listed in the App does not include the claim date. In the intersts of completeness and a to give the customer a more informed list of data, the date of the claim should be included. This should be a very simple update to perform by the App developer. My suggestion is to show the date to the right of the claim number and make it right justified. Thank you.
Closure of HBF office
I have discovered today that HBF no longer has a office in Mandurah and would have to travel to Eaton(Bunbury) or Booragoon to have access for face to face consultations. I find that is of poor service in a city of about 100,000 population or has HBF lost so many customers that it can put us in the situation that I find us. Dissatisfied and Disappointed customer. Unreliable
Once the app locks you out, you have to login again, set the pin AGAIN. Why must I constantly set the pin? Why doesn’t your developer program it such that the pin is only entered once? Coming from a programming background, your system is not designed properly. Once pin has been entered, pop up window informing user pin has been entered, requires the user to close it manually. Imho, this step is unnecessary. It asks again face authentication, pop up window requires user to manually close the window. Why do you lock us out and we have to do all this nonsense all over again??
Cover where it counts
Though private health insurance it’s a big cost every month, our family have been well taken care of when we’ve needed it, and have had amazing providers. 20+ years with HBF and have never been disappointed. Silver tier member.
Strange Claims UX
Claims seem to disappear into a black hole while they are being processed and you can’t view them. Also there’s no way to provide feedback other than call so I’m doing it here.
Happy with HBF but…
I’d give 5 stars except that HBF only covers dependants up to the age of 25 years of age. My daughter recently aged out and started her own health insurance.

I give HBF five stars as a provider of benefits, but only two for the new method for claiming. It’s just another complication for we elders.
Claiming unpaid invoices
Apparently I can claim unpaid ambulance invoices (I phoned and asked) which I am grateful for. However the website and app ask for receipts which I found confusing and I had to check again with HBF . Think this should be clearer on your sites. Thanks

Update = Start again
Every time there’s an update, you have to re-enter membership and password, get code from email, agree to terms, setup pin and add to wallet. Why TF can’t you carry this stuff over like other apps do?
Great app except for 1 thing.
This is a great app. One of the best I’ve come across bc it’s so user friendly and logical. My only reservation is at the “Review Claim” part before submitting it, and if you click on your uploaded CT photo, you can view the photo but can’t return to the “Review Claim” section. I had to close the app and start again. Otherwise a great app. Ps I just noticed that I had to give this feedback a title before it lets me submit it, even tho it says the title is “optional”.

Tried logging onto HBF via web site, only to be told my password was incorrect. 3 attempts later after changing my password every time, I have trying to log on vie web site and the app on my mobile phone. Not a happy chappie

The app makes claiming so much easier and quicker. Just upload your invoice and it’s done.

Seemed to be a long process to make a claim but very useful when you are not close to an Hbf office.

Disappointed with recent news that Hbf are removing the Gap Saver benefit. As a single mother, this often allowed me to have treatments I wouldn’t be able to afford otherwise. I am shopping around for a similar system now.:(

Extremely pleased with the simple online claim process I have monthly ongoing medications that I can claim for. So to me this is perfect

Doesn’t work
It never lets me log in, it gets stuck on the web page that pops up and everything turns blank. Tries this on iPad and phone, worked on neither of them.

Blank Screen
When I click “log in” a blank page pops up and gives me no options to troubleshoot or move forward. I have raised a query on this issue to HBF by email and over the phone and have been unable to receive helpful feedback on how to resolve the issue (no response to my email and representative in the phone unable to assist). I have attempted deleting and reinstalling, turning the phone off and on and clearing cache with no success. Since the app can’t be used I have to give it one star.
