TV6 & FOX Up - WLUC News reviews
2.5 out of 5, based on 148 reviews.
What people like
- It covers local news and events in the UP
What they complain about
- Videos play sound automatically and you can't mute it
- You get way too many annoying push notifications daily
- The new design is confusing and hard to use
Homelessness in this Administrations America
Please take note of Homlessness in the UP It’s rampant! My neighbor is being evicted for being poor! Lived there 15 years and never missed a payment! She renovated the place on her own dime! Renters are not refunding her expenses, but instead evicting a disabled woman in the middle of winter and theirs no available hud housing! Unbelievable!
Great job making it worse
Since the new format it constantly shows I have 1 notification which never disappears. And any movement in the requires the whole app to reload. Just dumb.
Ads
Unhappy with new updated app. Ad before you can get into the news, alerts are ridiculous. Not signed up for any alerts and I get multiple every day.
Quiet Viewing Please
I don’t appreciate having to “hear” the weather & ads while looking at stories. I can’t use the app in the middle of the night; I’d wake others up!
Bugs!
Garbage app. Can’t believe all these years have passed and can’t do a decent app.
Tv6
This app used to be great! Now it always says I have a notification and you can’t just read the articles without a video starting. Way better the way it was!!!
No control over sound
I click on a story and the sound comes on with no way to control it. Very annoying!
Too many unnecessary alerts
I used to like the alerts that the app would send, but now they’re just ridiculous. I only have breaking news alerts selected and I still get 5-10 alerts a day, from multiple daily weather reports to the multiple TV6 in Six live video alerts, it’s just gotten out of hand. I miss the days of only breaking news alerts or severe weather alerts, not all this other garbage they now send.
Terrible App
Bring back the old version of the app! Every time I click on a story an ad starts playing with no mute button! And then what’s even worse the clip is just a live stream of the network. Not a news clip related to the article like it used to be! The website is NO BETTER! please fix this so we can have one reliable news app in Upper Michigan. Thank you!
Cover the UP
With the oreTo shore occurring in the area in the UP golf Association tournament occurring in Gladstone you covered Friday’s Preseason and baseball games in Milwaukee great job
Video
Hate the new app. When I just want to read a story a video with audio plays automatically that can’t be stopped Not every one but enough. I will have to delete the app which is too bad because I enjoyed the news, but I can’t have a video playing randomly
Auto play
Automatically starting the video feed is incredibly annoying when I just want to quietly read the news. There should be an option to turn that off.
only because there’s no negative star
App worked previously - now can’t open after latest 'downdate'
Late
The site is always late. The sports and news is almost always outdated
You ruined it
App was good till last update
No good
The app will not open up. You get zero information. Waste of time.
New app
Totally dislike this new app. Have a constant notification of new updates on Home Screen. No previous notification of app changing.
Ads
App is ok. I don’t appreciate the Christian church advertisement. Not everyone is Christian.
New App
Poorly designed and difficult to find information. The old app was much easier to navigate.
Reporting is OK but ignore the comments
The comment forum is dominated by homophobic, religious intolerance, racial hatred, gender bashing, and those that would advocate violence! TV 6 apparently does not monitor the forum to keep trolls from spewing their particular brand of hate but instead allows the forum to monitor itself! I got tired of reading the same tired garbage from the same anonymous nitwits!
Obnoxious update
The latest update has a weird UI and the tab indicates it has a notification….it does not. But it won’t go away. Annoying and irritating, cant even get the weather anymore without installing a separate app. So….no. Uninstalling. Thank you for reading my Orchids and Onions
Notifications
Meh. It's got WAY too many notifications for unnecessary "news".
