Fox17App
Keeps me updated on the latest news, weather and sports. Easy to use!
Old old old news
Now that you have received numerous complaints regarding old news, 1, 2 or 3 days old, I see you’ve removed the dates of your stories altogether! This app is terrible! Readers want up to date news! Your TV Station has been turned upside down for the worse. Now you’ve ruined your app! Time to delete!
Alerts
Always indicates that I have an alert/notification when I don’t. Very annoying
Not biased at all depending on which way you lean
How do you determine which Presidents to Fact Check and which to ignore?
Always freezes
App always freezes for me. This time it has been stuck on the Jan 17 news for 4 days.
Fox 17 news
FOX 17. Is my first GO TO. NEWS STATION. EVERY MORNING. , but I miss. The news cast. At. 6 pm Sat & Sunday. The. MORNING MIX. TEAM. IS THE GREATEST. , I check the updates on my Ipad. Too.
Biased
Convenient for local weather and news but hard to sift through the political bias and slant of the articles that are posted.
App is fine
The app works fine the reporting is frustratingly liberal for a Fox News channel. Inauguration Day for the POTUS and not a single article on this historic day. Sad so many use news channels to push their personal agenda in place of good non bias journalism.
Awful - Crashes too much!
Worst app of all time! It crashes a lot! Please fix this crappy app! If you don’t. You lose me as a viewer. Cause when I go back in time to look at stories it just crashes. I WILL NEVER COME BACK IF YOU CANT FIX THIS ISSUE! YOU WILL LOSE A VIEWER SO FAST!
Duplicate Stories
Today saw the same story on airbags 5 times.

I LOVE the FOX 17 app!! It’s THE BEST app out there for the news. It’s easy to maneuver and I never have problems finding what I’m looking for. It’s my “go-to” app for ALL the news!!!! Awesome job, FOX 17, WXMI!!!!
Not working
The app quit updating on dec 18. Doesnt refresh
Not bad
Apps can be a pain setting up but this one didn’t seem too bad. Layout seems good; fairly intuitive. Seems responsive. Ads seem about right for a free app.
No local news
Don’t usually leave reviews but this is needed. The local news feed is completely empty. What good is the app?!
Big Improvement!
I found the old version difficult to read, this is 100 percent better.
Terrible app
I’m tired of the stupid commercials! THEN, you want me to pay for the app so I don’t have to deal with the junk?!!! Seriously? How about you fix the app and then we will all be happy! Can’t get a “live” feed, no matter what I do. Biggest weather event of the new year and I can’t get the info I’m pretty sure I NEED! Oh happy day, again.
Live feed not working
After paying for the ad-free version I am disappointed that the live feed is still not working. I have tried it with the iPhone, Apple TV and iPad.
Horrible Update
Back when it was the Fox 17 app you could use it to, oh, I don’t know , read the news. But now the pages don’t load half the time and even worse - the live video / news simulcasts are always predicated by the same 30 second long ad, and you have a 75% chance of the video or audio not working - and if you restart to fix that, another same 30 second ad! Just a crappy job all around.
Wrong News
I have tried to watch a live stream numerous of times. Once the program loads it is reporting the news from Denver.
Geez, really?
Can’t even put my email address in to get started on the new and supposedly improved app. I guess I’ll watch the other news apps instead. And now they want money to stop the dumb ads. Update: Ok, when in dark mode, we can’t see the words for email or password. Also couldn’t see words for the updates if you wanted them or not. Once I got out of the dark mode in my iPad settings, I could see everything. They need to fix this.
Can’t see Content
I just downloaded this ‘new and improved’ app for WXMI and all in app content is either white text on white background of very dark grey text on black background making it almost impossible to see. I guess I’ll be back when the new app is updated (and hopefully fixed of this issue).
