Doesn’t work anymore
I’ve used this app for years and it helped me develop a cohesive Instagram feed, but lately it won’t open. I’ve checked everything possible. Anytime I go to open the app, it crashes
Grid Layout
Absolutely love this app for Instagram. I believe that’s the purpose of this app. Regardless, I just wish there was a grid option to do multiple photos. For example: Open image you want to create, after you’re done editing the first photo, you can save it to the Whitagram App. Next photo, do your edits, save it. Repeat until your satisfied. Then, open the grid layout, pick the photos you saved to Whitagram, and BAM. Grid Layout. You’re welcome.
Features removed
Used to have a great feature where you could select a point on a picture and lighten/ adjust just that area. This was an amazing feature for product photography as you could lighten backgrounds without affecting the object in the picture. Photo editor seems to have been dumbed down a lot and simplified to just adjusting brightness of the whole thing. They replaced the in depth photo editor with obnoxious filters/ dumbed down features that take control away from the user. Please put it back.
Cool start to an app but lacking crucial components
I think this is a cool app. What I desperately need is the ability to adjust the white border to specific aspect ratios. I would like to be able to add a vertical photo yet present it with a border that has a horizontal 4:3 aspect ratio. This would be a game changer I would use this app constantly for my workflow if it could do that. Thanks!

Can never open
The app never opens, takes closing it and reopening a bunch of times and then maybe it works. Takes forever to load photos

I really love this app. It’s so simple, clean, and to the point. I would love to have the option for video boarders as well
Library search is lacking
Well-appointed app which has helped me get around a pervasive IG glitch that messes up heic iPhone photo intakes. So it was a relief at first to find an app that could deal with that. But the library upload interface to add photos is not easy to navigate at all. The only setting for organization beyond a couple default categories is alphabetical, and it includes dates in that list! So after Recents and Recently Added, it lists out photos taken in April by day and also year, then August etc. I prefer to mark my photos for IG in the Favorites album which can’t be renamed, and that takes forever to scroll to. I have to make a new folder just for this app, which is an annoying extra step to take. In addition, the app takes forever to reload after editing and saving a photo. This has been a known problem for years and not been addressed. So off I go to find an alternative.
Good but painfully slow
Painfully slow and I’m not sure why! I like the features but it takes an age for it to work
My best photo editing app!
I am so thankful for this great app! I have been using this app to edit any ordinary pictures into the most stunning artistic beautiful pictures. People even ask me what editing app I am using and the question comes from one of the most outstanding photographer I know of. Frustrating
I am very disappointed. This app does exactly what I want and then crashes right after saving the image to camera roll. I have to force quit the app every single time.
Needs batch feature
I like this app but if it had the ability to batch process 10 pics or so instead of one by one, it’d be a godsend.
So good but so janky
When it finally lets you access your library it works brilliantly…. But often it doesn’t allow you to so the app is basically unusable. Shame!
IG & SQUARE CROPS
Instagram now does a 4 x 5 crop on everything so the square crop is absolute I wish WG would change TO MATCH because I’VE ENJOYED this app IMMENSELY IN THE PAST.
DOES NOT REDUCE IMAGE QUALITY
Simple, no frills UI. Does what you need without ruining your images. (image quality in app seems affected, but when downloaded, it’s preserved) THANK YOU.

easy app
I really like how simple it is to use this app and that there are not too many options. It gets the job done. But I am sad that it isn’t possible to add a boarder around videos. when I select the photos/ video I want from my library, only the photos I selected show up in the app. I’ve tried many times and it just ignores the videos. Kinda bummed out about that but works great for fotos!
Images save blurry
Had this app for years and used to love it, but recently every time I save the picture it saved it blurry
Good app, one big issue
Great app! I’ve noticed one massive issue though - it will not launch unless I’m connected to WiFi. Out on a roadtrip? Crash on launch. Wi-Fi disconnected for literally any reason? Crash on launch. I had to have my girlfriend hotspot me while on a trip just so I could launch the app. It’s an odd quirk, but when it works, it’s great!

Only one square aspect ration..
Paying user here. Come on, years on and no one was able to add more aspect ratios to this app ? 1:1 was a thing a decade ago.
Super easy to use
It's super easy to use, I just wish it would let me select the background colors off a color wheel, or by tagging a color on the photo, because the choice are a bit limited. Also wished it worked for video.
Used to be the best editing app
But now either crashes after each edit or doesn’t load at all…
Too many taps
When I’m ready to save… why do I have to tap three times in three different locations. “SAVE” (top-right)… LOCATION (bottom-left)… “OK” (center). Most apps just tell you they’re done with an action, without requiring clicking on “OK”. That would save a click. Then move the save and save location choices closer together, so that I’m not moving my hand back and forth so much. Might not matter for a single photo, but when making 5-10 images, it gets repetitive and annoying.
A keeper
The zen-like interface is wonderful. Simple to apply. I use it dozens of time each week. Love it!

I used to be able to chose the drawing pen’s color but can’t chose anymore
Almost a five star
Needs batch processing. Only 10 photos allowed in Instagram posts but that’s still time consuming.
Not working properly?
For a couple days this app worked perfectly as I use it for insta posts (square) , now it crops my posts and the boarders are uneven (rectangular?)
Great interface, but crashes frequently
By far the best designed square-fit app: simple, clean interface, and quick to move between different photos if you’re doing a batch. BUT the app crashes frequently on a newish iPhone, and sadly it appears the developer has abandoned it. Would strongly recommend (and be happy to pay) if it were updated to improve stability.
Best Squaring App Ever
Only app to ever just add the border without asking for money and giving 100 ads , smooth and simple
Draw Color Location.
Needs update on switching the area where drawing colors are placed. (Way at the very bottom of your screen) making it impossible to switch colors without making your iPhone bring you back to your Main Home Screen! Pls fix!! Very frustrating.
Good app to add white frame
I got this app when instagram used only square photos, so it made sense. But now instagram has grown and there’s like 4 different picture sizes. Add this feature and you have a great 5 star app.
Get what you pay for
Yes, it shares to Instagram, but the post doesn’t show up in my feed. Not knowing this, I posted again from IG and now there are TWO. smh If you use this, I recommend saving to your iOS library and posting from within IG.
Booting out
I spent 15+ minutes on a photo of my daughter, 3 TIMES, and in the middle of getting the perfect edit… the app closes out of nowhere. 3 times. Beyond frustrating. It doesn’t even save when it kicks you out. This app is too just for border use.

noticeable affect on photo quality
intuitive and easy to use, but it really decreases photo quality to a noticeable level. it’s a shame
Not copying to Insta
Good app till now.. I could do almost everything in this one without saving/switching etc. Now it does not copy any images to Instagram which makes the posting process much,much longer. Can this be looked at? Thanks!
Poor quality
I’ve been using it for years and it used to be really good quality but in the recent months, once you’ve edited the picture, the quality decreases slightly and becomes a little blurry. Strange.
Needs more aspect ratios
Great, easy to use app but REALLY needs more than just a square frame. Instagram has evolved way past the days of Square format. You're wasting tons of valuable real estate by not allowing vertical aspect ratio options
Awesome app, I would be happy to pay for more features
This is app is awesome. It does exactly what it says it should do for completely free and NO ADS. Phenomenal. It is limited in that you can only create square images, you can only do 1 image at a time, and you have to pay/watch ads for text abilities. But for a completely free app these are all things I can easily get over not having. I would be very willing to pay $5-10 for these features. Highly recommend this app.

Pixelization
I used this app for years and ever since I have an iPhone 13 pro, pictures don’t look clear. I really like this app and I hope it fixed soon. Otherwise, I have to use another kind of app.

i love white border pictures
this app lets me edit my pics exactly how i want- just a plain white border around my pics. i only use it to edit pics for social. i’m very weird about it all looking the same so this is my go to edit app. no hassle, very quick, and saves easily.

Great app but best features are leaving?!
I have used this app for a while now and is a great on the go go to edit for making pictures stand out. They’re really easy to use and work great to bring out the best aspects of an image. However, recently I have been receiving the message that these editing features with Adobe (which I primarily use and are the best features for me) are going to be longer available and to be replaced with a different one.? Will we still be able to edit photos in the same way with these new tools? And why replace something that works so well?
Takes over a minute to load library, crashes after
I think this app serves a very basic purpose really simply: add a white border around your photos and crop them to square. There’s a few really frustrating problems, the biggest being that it takes at least one minute to load pictures from your library. Once you select them, it’s easy to set the border color. Sharing is easy to, but once you save the picture the app freezes and you manually need to shut it down and reopen it, going through the long minute-to-open process all over again. Too bad I haven’t found any other free alternatives. It’s not my phone’s problems, I’m using the latest Pro iPhone each year, and this problem has been around since day 1.
Ridiculous
This app has been out way to long for it to still have this many issues. Why does the app freeze , takes forever to load pictures and open it’s literally ridiculous. Fix the app
