- Actually does exactly what it promises
What they complain about
- Forces you to pay to save photos
- Ruins image quality and makes them pixelated
- Adds an annoying white line on top
- Hides the cost until after you download
It works
Thanks for cropping my pictures to fit for social media purposes! Awesome App!
Payment required
I’m not paying $2 for this when plenty of apps offer the same thing for free, are you absolutely joking.
Excellent app
App is excellent. Unfortunately there is a small bug stopping me from giving it five stars - every photo I export has a thin white line along the top of it. Issue appears to be a bug. Please resolve.
Ruins photo quality
Not worth it. You are forced to pay to try it. Save first photo and the quality is terrible.
Overall Great App
Super handy for posting to Instagram, and the choice of background color to match looks great. The only issue is when saving the photo it is low resolution and pixelated. And what happened to the cool blurred backgrounds? It’s only allowing for solid colors now. Not cool…
Great for profile pics on fb to get the whole pic in
Brill for fb profile photos and instagram as gets whole photo in highly recommended
Boooo
Thumbs downnnnnn
Useful but not quite perfect
I use this app a lot, and it seems to be one of the best of its kind. I often process a few photos at a time with another app, then use this one to place them on the white background ready to share. I have one annoyance that would save so much time if it were addressed: It would be nice to be able to swipe through the photos one at a time within the frame and then just save them with one tap per photo. The current UI is laborious as it has so many needless steps. Why not just browse and save right in the frame? Or even allow multi select to apply the same setting to a handful of pictures.
The photos are not saved on camera roll
The photos are not saved on camera roll even though I saved them
Not working
Even after I reloaded it and the ad to add “unlimited saves” it wouldn’t let me save my work
Background
Wish there was a black. My only “complaint”
Don’t bother
Used to be a great app, now locked behind a paywall. Goodbye 👎
Great app - please add black background!
Great app, love that it’s fast and simple to use / doesn’t try to get me to upgrade to a paid version that has 100k cheesy backgrounds and effects to choose from BUT… since dark mode is becoming more popular on mobile devices, it would be awesome to see a black background added as an option. Please!!!
Well designed, but export quality is really poor.
This app is well designed and super simple to use. I’d love to see a batch processing option. Beware that the export quality is awful though! Why can’t it just leave the pixel length as is on the long edge, rather than cutting the tripe out of it?! :( It’s a real shame.
Not free
Latest version has a bug- it will create a horizontal white line at the top of any photo saved with a black background. So now it’s useless
Best in class!
This is by far the best app in this category. Clean, simple, easy to use. No annoying adds. LOVE it. My only request is *PLEASE* update to allow uploading/editing photos in batches. I often editing 5-10 photos at once and uploading/editing individually is super slow and annoying.
Non functioning Cash only app
This app is not only not free it is completely unusable unless you pay. Except for some work arounds however So many other apps that do the exact same function without having to spend anything.
Total scam
It doesn’t crop your pics,it doesn’t fit ig it’s still the exact same size.
Destroys image quality
The app makes your image square but ruins the image quality by a lot. To the point where the face in a portrait picture looks completely ruined.
750x750 pixels
This app would be incredible and well worth the price but the total dimensions for a squared photo are 750x750 pixels and look low res. Would be a 5 star app if the squared photos and videos came out higher resolution. Would love to see photos/videos come out "number of pixels in the largest dimension of original photo/video" by "number of pixels in the largest dimension of original photo/video." This would make the app 5 stars in my opinion.
Simply the BEST!
Well my gosh, lookie what I found, you won’t believe it, guys! Check it out: ^^THIS^^ app right here has done something that, unfortunately, is becoming rarer & harder to find as time goes on…. THE APP ACTUALLY DOES WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO!!! Holy crap! I did not believe there were any honest apps left in 2022. But I’ve been using “Square” since at least 2017 and it has never let me down! Keep up the great work, guys & gals! 😘
Trash
There’s another app that will actually allow you to save the photos you edit. Square fit, doesn’t charge for trial
Minor bug
There is a minor white line on top after editing
Poor quality and chargeable
Easy to use and quick but the quality after cropping is terrible! The first time you use this app you will be surprised with a one off cost to pay. Should be explained up front
Looks free but it’s not
Don’t download it if you don’t want to pay. You cannot save anything without a payment.

Don’t waste your time or money.
This app used to be worth it. Now it’s just a cash grab. There’s so many apps that let you make square photos without paying. Pathetic.
In my tool kit
I have a couple of apps to post non-square photos to Instagram. This one gives you the whole photo in one shot, where’s my other breaks it up into multiple photos. Both are good for different reasons.
Hidden cost in ugly way
Hiding th real cost of the app in ugly way is realy unfair to people who wants to use your app.
save korbo kih babe?
bkjgb
Perfect
The only one of these apps that hasn't asked for money!
Does not save audio for videos
I just purchased this and immediately regret it. It does not save the video’s audio!
Behind a 0.99 paywall but very good
Although the app details there is an in-app pruschase it doesn’t show/advertise this anywhere, but that’s how I guess they get you to download it right? The in app purchase is only a 99p pay wall, with unlimited photos after that. I like the app as it’s simple and easy to use, and especially like the blurred effects. I do wish that the quality was retained slightly better, but after posting to Instagram the compression is unnoticeable anyway
What is the app like
The app does what it says on the tin and helps to create photos that don’t crop on instagram. However, it does make the downgrade the quality of image. If you don’t mind having a pixilated photo then it’s fine and isn’t bad for the price of £0.99.
Do not buy at all fake fake fake
Do not buy this bloody app... without any reason automatically got me charges...unreasonable just want my money back
This app is everything! I enjoy it very much!
This app is beyond treasure! It will save you time and headache!
Used to be free
Now you gotta pay to use it. Not cool!!
Weird line
Really easy to use but it leaves a horizontal line above the top edge of the frame (but not at the bottom)
Compresses your image
Image quality drops significantly after going through the app. Moved to another app and did not have this problem.
Phone photos only
I payed the 0.99 for the app only to find out it absolutely destroys all lines in your photos, turning them into pixelated messes. Works great for a photos taken on a phone but for anything with a bigger sensor I’d find a different app
Awesome when u don’t want insta to resize
Amazing app does it well
Scam
Can’t save any photos without paying $1.99
Does what it’s supposed to!
Be aware that you will be required to pay to use this “free” app. Which is ok it does what it’s supposed to and saves me time. I do wish there were more options that just white, light and dark, but for now it’s ok!
Think it’s broke :-/
No longer an option to share to Instagram. It crops and adds boarders ok though.
OK for 99p but no share to Instagram!
I’m a photographer and I like to upload many of my photos in their original orientation without the limitations of a square crop. This app seemed an ideal choose to add an interesting boarder that matches the photo that isn’t a plain black or white. It’s costs 99p to enable this function. I thought this was good value although stating this upfront would have been a more honest approach. One issue I have is the app offers to share directly to Instagram. However, there is no Instagram option available in the list. Please correct this issue!
Don’t download.!
Poor quality pictures are exporting even I paid. Waste app.!
Not free
Won’t let you save anything without paying
Error
Not using this app in iphone 8
Be careful
I do think it’s a bit sneaky to charge you for the first picture download but if it’s a one off fee of $1 for unlimited creations and photo saves with zero ads then it’s not that bad really. I would ask the developer to give the first one for $0 and then charge the $1 after that - they do need to make money if they’re not accepting and promoting ads but one for free would encourage more users.
