Can’t see the DMD
Cool tables and smooth/realistic ball movement, but nearly impossible to actually progress through modes in any of the games without being able to see the table’s display. No matter which view is picked, the DMD/table screen is almost completely buried by the iPhone Dynamic Island. Please fix this so the games can actually be enjoyed!
Great game but a major flaw
On “bonus rounds” at the end of the game when the extra pinballs fall the flippers never work and you end the game and miss out on extra points. This happens on multiple machines like Doctor Who and basically any machine that has that type of gameplay. I’ve tried to pause the game and start it again to see if it would reset the flippers to work but that rarely helps.
Best Pinball Sim By Far
I own every table, dating back to when they had nearly 100, and I still play all the time. It’s like having dozens of your own pinball machines, and they play like the real machines. Tip: Use a controller. I found it impossible to nudge on the touch screen, but with a controller it is second-nature. Use the controller triggers for the flippers and it’s the next best thing to standing in the arcade. Also, use a 13” iPad, phones don’t do it justice. They also have a PC app which is awesome. This game is criminally underrated , probably due to the free players who represent 20% of the revenue and 80% of the problems. Buy the tables like a normal person, pay these people for their incredible work, don’t always try to play for free; the experience is way better. Trust me, this is a 6 star app if ever there was one, at least if you can throw a few dollars at a table, which is a steal to carry around a $12,000 pinball machine in your pocket.
I Lost all my classic Games
Pretty much in the earlier stages of this game when they used to carry all the classics from Williams and Bally, I had purchased packages where I had Funhouse, Black Knight, whirlwind and a whole bunch of other great ones and then it did one of these mandatory updates and then I lost all of those games that I paid for. Then I hear well, we lost our licensing for those games so we had to remove them. That’s all well and good but I should be grandfathered in. I already paid for those games and you took my money for those said games.. You losing the licensing should not matter to me because I had already paid for those games. Those manufacturers change license ownership all the time. So does that mean people who purchased a real pinball machines need to turn the machines back in? It’s not like you guys did anything to make it right for those of us who lost games we already paid for. We should be compensated with games that you do carry as a result of it with no additional charges accrued. They should never have been removed. That’s just bad customer service and you should not take peoples money for something that you couldn’t let us continue to own.

Purchased tables do not download
I purchased Pinball Arcade many years ago and it has worked well and I own many of the older tables. Recently I purchased a new table pack and many of the games in the table pack did not download and were not playable. I contacted the game publisher through their website and through the Apple App Store but did not receive a response. I followed some instructions on the publisher website to fix the issue but they did not work. I think it is dishonest to sell tables that will not install correctly. If you download the app, don’t expect purchases to install correctly and you maybe stuck with an unusable game.
What Happened?
Bogus pinball physics compared to two decades ago, but it’s still the best pinball video game.
Orientation freaks out
The score is cut off by the phones camera and if you try to rotate your phone to landscape the app freaks out and the image quickly flips and distorts. The only way out is to turn on and off the phone just to try to quit.
Took my money
I paid for several games in this app. I recently had to buy a new phone. Bought the games on my other iPhone and bought a new iPhone. After downloading the app to my new phone I only have the one boring free game that you start out with when first downloading the app. I had 24 out of 48 games originally. Same account and now I have only 1 of 38. Preparing to report a fraud here if this isn’t corrected very soon.
Great!!…One problem though.😅
First off, I love this game with all of my heart. I play it daily and always love how much effort and fun was put into this game! Wow! I’ve always loved classic pinball, and this game has changed my life. There’s just one problem though…. I recently bought the stern pack 2, and I bought it because I wanted to play the ghostbusters machine. The game just won’t load! It VERY slowly loads, and will never get to the end of the loading bar, because the loading restarts. Thank you for this game, and great job on choosing my favorite machines.
Love this game
This game is really good! I will change my review to 5 star if you can fix the dmd issue with IPhone 16 as it’s behind the camera. Playing pinball without being able to see the score and what mode you are in is terrible.

MOST REALISTIC VIDEO PINBALL EVER CREATED!!
I am an owner of 95 out of 99 tables! I’ve been playing for years. This is the most realistic pinball you will ever experience aside from actual pinball machines. These games were created from actual real tables. The physics of these tables function like their real world counterparts! It’s really amazing and worth every Penny. I pray that the creator of these tables will keep it being offered in the App Store. I don’t understand how this can’t be 4.8 or higher. Did those who rated it lower actually play the tables!!

I tried playing this..but it only worked for shooting the ball out..I couldn’t figure out how to get the flippers to move.
Great game but
Great game but i wish the wii u version got all the tables and wasnt left halfway through season 5. I bought almost every table for the wii u version, and i wish it would transfer because there’s no way to buy wms tables now.
Needs an update
This app needs an update so that it can visibly compatible with the current and newest iPhones
Future updates?
Not sure if there are plans to fix some things about this version. An update to the display window at the top being cutoff. Visuals could use a fresh coat of paint throughout the navigation of the app.
Best pinball app ever!
I own 57 tables through this app and it’s amazing. Any table you purchase can always be restored to the app…the 1 star reviews stating different didn’t take 5 seconds to look around the app and press restore. I hope the developers keep this app rolling forever, it really should be tied to a world pinball museum with benefactors donating the cost of licenses so we can play every table ever created. They do an amazing job of getting the tables authentically reproduced for iPad and phone… on my iPad Pro it’s surreal and fun playing so many of my favorite tables. It is sad that they lost the licenses for a few tables by one greedy company we won’t name here…. However new customers can still get so many awesome tables… for everyone who loves pinball, the developer continues to make sure the app and tables work great...I’m sure their excellence will be rewarded in what ever comes next!..
Completely broken on new iPhones
It does not appear this app is receiving any more bug fixes or updates. It does not work properly on modern iPhones. The UI is completely unusable.
Airplay?
Would be great to be able to cast these tables to my TV. As it is now, it doesn’t really work. The table kind of goes into slow motion.
Classic 70’s
I’ve been looking for a digital version of the classic 70's electro-mechanical pinball machines for online or mobile play, it has been hard, closest is vpforums but very limited versions for mobile apps.
Need UI Update
That area on the newer Iphones means one cannot see the scoreboards. On any of the pinball games. Can’t even look up to see the boards. This needs fixing.
Very decent and fun, needs UI update
This is definitely great pinball and brings back massive nostalgia. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely great at scratching the itch. The only issue is that the UI does not properly respect the iPhone’s display “safe area” and the notch on modern phones covers the backboard and some menus. You can still get around for the most part, but it’s annoying.

Enjoyable game, but there are a few bugs marring the experience.
In general, I had a lot of fun with this app. The pinball machines featured are good fun to play and 99% of the time my experience has been nothing but positive. However I noticed that the game itself is very buggy - there are a few glitches in particular which are especially noticeable and which I would like to see fixed at some point: 1 - there is a content scaling bug which affects iPads and possibly some other devices: I have noticed where if I change the orientation of my device during a game (not in the menus), the UI will not scale properly. Interface elements go off the screen when this happens. I can fix it by pausing the game and then rotating the screen again, but it will reoccur if I tilt the device once the game is unpaused. 2 - in some games, the arrow menu and select button navigation for entering initials does not work as it should. usually they work OK but on Last Action Hero, Wipe Out and to a lesser extent Harley-Davidson, some button presses do not register. in Ghostbusters, sometimes button presses will register twice (this seemingly extends to selecting skill shots and moving inlane rollovers). The Alvin G games feature a very strange issue when entering initials where at first, the L/R buttons do not register presses, but if I press them repeatedly they will rapidly cycle through the alphabet and they will instead count too many presses. I have been unable to enter my initials like how I want to as a result of this glitch. 3 - on Phantom of the Opera, many of the entered initials which feature characters other than A-Z appear garbled on the “High Scores” screen. 4 - Ghostbusters in general is a very glitchy game in this collection… 4A - The playfield lights occasionally turn off completely mid-game, forcing me to guess what’s going on and what’s lit until the end of the ball. 4B - Mass Hysteria multiball is a mode in which the flipper button controls are reversed (so in-game, touching the left side of the screen activates the right flipper and touching the right side of the screen activates the left flipper). This is not always consistent and sometimes the controls spontaneously become normal in the middle of a Mass Hysteria multiball. They can also seemingly invert and uninvert several times within one Mass Hysteria round. 4C - this is the most serious glitch I have noticed: if I pause and quit while the Slimer target is moving, it will remain stuck in front of the target, making it impossible to hit. I have to return to the table select menu and reload the game to fix this problem. (I am playing on an iPad Mini, 6th generation)
Frustrated.
Ingame it says that the pinball table I purchased is 4.99 rather than the usual 9.99 and I still got charged $11. Not pleased.
Free tables are buggy
Love the Doctor Who table I purchased, but the free tables crash after the Gexa ad.
Fantastic
Despite owning two machines, I still come back to this app. I love it. I also love that I can play here and am set when I come across a machine in person. I own all available machines on here and I wish there was more I could get.
No way to save scores
I know this sounds amazing, but it is true! That there is no way to save your scores to see how you did this time compared to how you have done before. There is a leaderboard that may show your high score compared to the scores of everyone else in the world.But what if you just want to keep track of your scores – – or maybe the scores of you and a couple other members of your family or friends that used your device? Sorry, no way to do that.
It’s still a good app
Pinball Arcade lost the rights to Williams/Bally tables a few years ago… If you purchased any of these tables then the restore function should sort the problem out. I log in to the server which restores my past purchases too. Contacting the developer may also work… Whilst the tables that are available may not appeal to everyone the game is still great for pinball fans. The tables are cheap enough and provide enough entertainment for short bursts on commutes or for high score achievement. Personally, I preferred this game over the ‘other’ one that’s available, which has seemingly rehashed the tables already recreated by PA… If you like Pinball get this AND… :)
Bitter Sweet
I have had Pinball Arcade for many years now and I am a huge pinball fan! I am very displeased with the lack of support for my IPhone 14 Pro Max. I can play but cannot see the score screens on the pinballs because the front camera on my iPhone blocks it. To Pinball Arcade tech people. Just allow us IPhone users to copy the score board to an different area of the screen. A lot of the pinballs have the interactive screen to play on the score board like Harley Davidson pinball. Other option let the users who bought pinballs on iPhone move the purchases to another platform like Xbox or something. Please make it right for the users. Thanks

2 pinball machines rescue 911 and 1 pinball machine still the same for 6 months. Now it is aug 1 change new ones please thanks. Do it immediately now 2-3 months same same same black hole and Star Trek enough. Every months change new ones each please Don’t waste our time
Less valuable than trash
Absolutely a waste of space, if you enjoy pinball this game will my you throw up in your own mouth. Guaranteed to disappoint on all levels and there is no hope for enjoyment with this game. What a shame the blatant disrespect to pinball and its history.
Issues seem sorted
I thought I’d write something to stick up for the developer here. I used to play this on an iPad in 2011. Loved it and bought lots of tables. I think it’s correct to say that some of the tables have gone due to licensing ending or whatever. Back to now. I’d totally forgotten about the game and looked for it on my iPhone to see if it still existed. I read all the angry reviews and was very sad as clearly the team had put a lot of effort into this game some time ago. Anyway it did seem that as said my purchases were gone. A week later I was just killing time and opened the game to find that most of my purchases were restored. It plays perfectly and I feel fine about recommending it to you. Better on a larger device though. My iPhone X’s screen is a bit too small for me

Glitches with latest ios update
For some reason my games keep going to the menu screen for no reason. Please fix!! I love this app and have purchased many of the tables!!

Unplayable
I like playing this app. Or did. Now I can’t even play any machine because they all don’t fit on the screen. So sad. Looking at other reviews from 4 months ago saying they would fix the problem but apparently they lying. How long does it take for fixes? Don’t tell people you are going to fix the problem and then don’t.
Lets break it down
First off, it’s a great pinball simulation! Graphics and sounds are great, a lot of previous complaints have been addressed and fixed. Pros: very aesthetically pleasing, smooth game play, great music and voice overs. Cons: prices of additional tables are absurd, free tables are very limited, ads are at inconvenient times and looooooong. Questions: Can big name titles get added (family guy, South Park, Simpson’s, Star Wars, big lebowski, etc) those would help attract more people. Control customization: can controls be moved or adjusted? For example I can only use my left hand so an option to have both flippers on left side would be great. Flipper detection area could be a little higher in case of finger slip. Can instructions be added to in game menu to know what the challenge is asking? Anyway, great game for what is available in the free section, hopefully additions will be made!
No sound, no vibe, iPhone 15

Just looking for the aspect ratio to be corrected.
I still love playing this from time to time, but I just wish they had either an option to move the LED display away from the notch or just change the aspect ratio for the whole app to be 16x9 letterboxed like the older iPhones for it to work again. I’ve noticed bug fix updates in the last month or so, so hoping this doesn’t fall on deaf ears. As of now, I appreciate the legacy support for the older licensed tables for those who secured them back in the day, but I can’t recommend it for modern phones.

Please fix invisible balls!!
First off this used to be my absolute favorite app on my IPad. I have bought roughly 60 tables and was a huge fan. Now (October 2019) the app is basically UNPLAYABLE. All the different pinballs are nearly invisible. This has always been an issue on IPads with a work around of selecting a different ball. The yellow smiley face and black eight ball were the correct opacity. Now EVERY single ball is basically impossible to see on every table. I even purchased additional ball packs to no avail. I’ve written their support department and no one has responded. Please fix this!!!

Bought tons of tables a few years back - most of which appear to have been removed now. Licensing issues? Anyway, a real shame as they were great EDIT: did restore purchases on pinball arcade plus, and they appeared - hurrah!

This game was a godsend ... was 😞 There were tables galore to choose from, but now its just leftovers so to speak. What is more, I had the last few good tables saved and spent £5 on another table pack only to then fond the tables i had saved GONE! DON'T! Just ... don't 😞😢
