Lots of issues
Glitchy and a ton of issues
Great app, but supervisors need better queue management
Vonage is a great app overall, but it could be much better for supervisors. It would be very helpful if the mobile and desktop app allowed us to monitor queues in real time—see who is logged in, connect or disconnect agents, and check who is currently on a call. Right now, those features are only available on the website, which requires frequent logins and often times out. Having these supervisor tools in the app would make queue management much more efficient and convenient.
Voicemail doesn't poll on my phone app
I've been using Vonage for about 10 years and this has been a chronic problem. It's pointless to have an app on my phone when the voicemails don't show up for dayo. I'm exploring other options for phone service.
Inconsistent
When it works, it’s great. But I can’t dial out half the time and have to have the other person call me back. It’s been a regular problem that I haven’t been able to solve.

Consistency, please
While I depend on this app every single day… and Iove the fact that it has replaced my physical phone… that app still struggles with consistency. Copy and pasting phone numbers in the dial pad generally works, but the very next update can break that feature. This feature has been solid for the last few updates, so thank you. Currently the app is hit or miss notifying of incoming calls. More times than not, I only hear the chime that indicates that I just missed a call or the caller left voicemail. When the ringing notifications works, you may only get a half to one full ring to pick up before the call goes to voicemail. I hope you can fix this.
Poor performance
Calls drop. I get the “all lines are busy” when it works fine calling from my actual cell.

App freezes all the time, when you are on a call and an incoming call comes in you can’t hear anything from that call going forward you must hang up and call that person back. Voicemails disappear all the time and can take hours to show up again in the tab.
Phone call error
Vonage system is good but they have a drawback if I make a call than somehow the call doesn’t get processed and if I again the redial, the previous attempted call starts to interrupts like if we are busy talking with someone else and see that someone is trying to reach you, but the actual fact is no one is calling you, the number you dial previously that call is process, to solve this you need to 110 times clear the app and again login Please fix this asap

Horrible customer support, cannot get anyone on the phone. Unable to text pictures for over a year at one point. Multiple user cannot share info or contact names.
Auto log out
I understand why you feel you need to have a security feature of automatic logout after inactivity. But there should be an opt feature. I’m not a fan of having to login multiple times a day if I am not using the app.
Text not working
I am using vonage from past 2 years & you guys are providing good services. I don't know whats the problem with new updates, I can't receive or send text now from my iphone XR. It show me the text in the notification though but i can read and reply or send new text from the application anymore.

This app no longer works on iPhone 11 as of June 2026. iOS is up to date. Customer service is at a loss and keeps telling me they will escalate my ticket. Terrible functionality when it is working. Dropped calls when transferring. Blocked calls ring anyway. No spam filtering whatsoever. Caller I’d scrolls the screen waaay to slow to allow me to see who is calling before answering. My advice? Pick another service.
Office integration, but not 100%
Connection is totally dependent upon your ‘connection’ and I find far too many times my phone either doesn’t ring or won’t call out. I can be on my 100mbs ADSL line (WiFi) and not make a call, yet later be on 4G and have a perfectly fine conversation. If you NEED to be contacted, ie 24hr emergency call out, then divert all calls to your mobile number. That way you will get the calls. This can be don in-app

The app barely works on IPhone 13 and newer.
I have used Vonage for over 10 years and they been pretty reliable. Last couple years the app has become almost useless. If you use IPhone 13 or newer, it lags big time. I noticed that it takes up lots of storage also. Like crazy amount of storage. When I first install it, the app is at about 3GB, after a couple of days it takes over 33GB of storage. Which is crazy amount of storage, considering that when I use Android phone, with same app and same user data, it only takes 2.5GB of storage . I hoped they would fix this issue with this last update but still the same, Disappointing. I have tried multiple IPhones and same issue in all of them, while on Android it runs super smooth and fast. Can someone please fix this issue. An app should not take up over 33GB of storage.

After using Vonage for our service company, I can confidently say we outgrew it fast — and not in a good way. The pricing looks reasonable on the surface until you realize nearly every useful feature is a paid add-on. Want call recording? Add-on. Voicemail transcription? Add-on. A shared inbox so your team can collaborate on texts? Add-on. By the time you’ve built a functional phone system, you’re paying significantly more than the advertised rate. The shared SMS inbox was the biggest pain point for us. As a small service business, we need multiple team members to see and respond to customer texts. Vonage either doesn’t offer this or buries it behind an expensive upgrade — completely impractical for a growing small business. The platform also feels dated. Setup isn’t intuitive, the admin portal is clunky, and customer support was difficult to reach when we had issues. We switched to a competitor and the difference was immediate — cleaner interface, all the features included in the base plan, and no surprise fees. Vonage may work for large enterprises with IT teams and big budgets, but for small businesses that need a simple, modern phone system, look elsewhere.

No Indication of Characters Remaining When Typing
Works overall. If you could include a notification you’ve exceeded the character limits while typing out the message, that would be great. A lot of time is spent typing the message, only to hit send and get a notification after the fact it cannot be sent. Then more time is spent trying to shorten the message.

TERRIBLE/ never be reached and off on weekends
I strongly regret choosing Vonage Business. The sales process was smooth, and everyone was very responsive when it came to getting me signed up. Unfortunately, that level of service disappeared the moment I became a customer. My phone service and app experienced issues for approximately three weeks, severely impacting my business operations. During that time, it was nearly impossible to get meaningful support. Reaching someone was a challenge, and when I did, communication was often difficult. Weekend support was either unavailable they dont work weekends leaving me without assistance when I needed it most. Despite having records of my numerous calls, chat attempts, and requests for help during the outage, Vonage continued billing me and ultimately held me to my contract when I attempted to cancel because of the service failures. Rather than acknowledging the disruption to my business, the cancellation process was unpleasant, and I was treated with little regard as a customer. If you’re considering Vonage Business, understand that the experience after signing the contract may be very different from the experience before signing it. My business lost valuable time dealing with service issues and trying to obtain support. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Vonage Business. I left and went to Nextiva so far its been good i’ve had a couple of on boarding challenges, but they’ve always been there to help out. They do work 24/7

Do not recommend!
Phones don’t work consistently. Customer service does not respond to emails at all and does not respond to calls timely. Heavy lag on phones even though I confirmed before I set up the service that we had the right internet speed. Then they called and said they were sending a free booster which didn’t help and then they added it to my bill the next month. I requested the phone tone rings differently interoffice vs outside calls and they said “I’d just have to play with it”. Extensions don’t ring correctly interoffice. Has trouble calling to landlines most of the time they won’t connect. These are all issues I’ve talked with tech about more than once and have not been resolved. SCAM service. Stay away!

80% of the time it works well if you have strong WiFi. But every once in a while (every 10 calls) my music gets piped through over the call. Very unprofessional!!

Ringer Broken
The Vonage app ringtone has decided to start ringing about 50% quieter than the iPhone sound level since the last update. This is happening across multiple phones and all settings are correct for the volume to be maxed. Fix this please. We rely on being woken up by calls as we’re a 24/7 company.

We have been experiencing ongoing issues with the app that are significantly impacting daily operations. The app frequently logs users out, and attempts to sign back in often fail due to incorrect verification code errors, even when the correct code is entered. Additionally, there are recurring call functionality problems. At times, we are unable to hear the other party during outgoing or incoming calls, despite the call appearing to connect or ring. This requires repeatedly closing and reopening the app throughout the day to restore functionality. Voicemail is also inconsistent. Messages are often routed to email rather than appearing in the app’s voicemail inbox, and they do not reliably populate within the system. Overall, the app has proven to be unreliable, and we hope the company considers transitioning to a more stable and dependable platform.
Not as bad as it gets but pretty bad.
It’s been a long bad trip with Vonage but after a long time you’d think they finish building their service. The latest problems are as unacceptable as the earlier problems we had- when someone calls your 800 number all you see in their caller ID is the 800 number. When you get a spam text there is no way to report spam or block the number. It’s like they didn’t even think about the first thing when designing their app. Pretty basic functionality missing there. No plan to fix it either. There is no customer service on the phone unless you indicate you want to cancel.
