What a shame
Love the modern version of this game but the ads have completely ruined the game. Select a mode - AD. Game starts - AD. Hit a bomb - AD Go to settings - AD Literally unplayable when not on airplane mode.
Zoom in feature a bit glitchy
Let me start by saying that this app is everything you could want in a minesweeper game. It’s got good controls, great themes, and an overall user friendly interface. I’ve recently purchased the iPhone 12, and when I went to play on insane mode, I found it difficult to zoom in on a certain point. What I mean by this is, when I zoomed in on an area with my iPhone 7, I insinuated an origin in which to zoom in on. However with the 12, it appears as if the origin is a fixed point near the middle, which makes it difficult to play as smoothly as before. I’ve ended up just zooming before I start the game and playing from there. On a sidenote, my daughter has been getting into minesweeper lately, but the hardest part for her is starting the game. She ends up using the google minesweeper because when you click your first square, it automatically blows out an area for you to start with, different from this game where you start with one square (best way to play imo). Might I suggest a beginner’s setting where it starts you off with a bigger area to work from? Thanks devs for a great app :)
Ad Rage
Way too many ads to make this enjoyable. I had this downloaded for a while, all the modes were neat and all. But there’s ads the moment you lose, the moment you exit the page, the moment you restart. I rage quit just from ads alone. So I’ve deleted it and will look for a new app.

Best Minesweeper GUI on iOS
For some reason all Minesweeper Apps on the App Store look like Windows 3.1. It’s a dated look even Microsoft abandoned after Windows XP. It looks out of place and boring on an iPhone. Minesweeper Go has a fresh look, is easy to use, and the ads are frequent, but brief and bearable. To date, it is one of the best versions of Minesweeper for iPhone.

I enjoy this game
I'm really enjoying playing Mine Sweeper. I never played the versions, so I have no nostalgia connected with it, as others do. But I like how it keeps me thinking.
Way too many ads
There are multiple ads after every move and they’re unskippable. Considering how many times you lose in minesweeper, it gets obnoxious fast.
controls are weird, otherwise fine
can’t move the board as easily as needed, making it very tedious to go about the game.
Easy way to get rid of ads
Don’t pay to remove ads. Whenever one pops up just tap the top right corner of the screen and it goes away.
Unplayable on iPhone 13
I like the app, but it’s impossible to play the harder tile sizes on my phone because the ad across the top blocks the top row and no amount of zooming in or out makes it work.

Can’t say this enough
I’ve been searching for an intuitive yet aesthetic minesweepers app since 2011 and here it is. The answer to my prayers. When people joke “Maybe your future partner hasn’t been born yet,” this is what I imagine it’s like. All the past 23 apps I’ve tried were somewhat lacking in one of the two but this app is the best of both of worlds. Would recommend to anyone ready to satisfy their minesweeper addiction.

As of today the ads cannot be dismissed, and the more difficult games cannot be played at all because of a new persistent ad bar at the top that covers the upper rows. Way to ruin a good app…

One of the better minesweeper apps
This minesweeper version functions well and doesn’t have the same kind of lag I’ve experienced with others. Suggestion for the developers—change the default or at least make it a setting so the board is not zoomed in when you start a new one. I am playing on an iPad and play difficult or harder, so lots of squares. It’s zoomed in way too much every time I have to restart a board, and it’s annoying to have to pinch in to zoom out every time.

I don’t know what to say other then the fact that there’s an inane amount of ads. They aren’t too long or invasive but there’s just like a lot of them and it’s quite annoying. However, the app is quite nice and I do recommend it

Just one small flaw - it cycles through the tile options too quickly when holding down. Otherwise really as good as it gets.
Not the greatest
The game itself plays fine (let’s be honest, there’s not much to it). Unfortunately, there were a few things that made my first attempt to play it likely to be my last: 1) Very slow to load 2) There seems to be no way to turn down the game volume, and it’s set to be mind-numbing it loud 3) No obvious way to display the entire game field on a phone, even for a medium board
Ok version
The way the game plays and sounds is cute but it’s annoying that the free version has an ad EVERY time you start a new game. Even when you don’t get very far in one game before blowing up a bomb and have to start a quick new game. It got grating so I deleted it.
Addiction
Be careful of addiction. This game is tough to turn off once you get going. Software is very easy to use as a mobile app version of the Microsoft classic :)

Used to be great, but now there's a non removablead on the top of the board prohibiting me from finishing games!!!
Really good version.
This is easy to use and passes the time. Lots of options to choose from whether you like more complex or simple games. Nice to be able to change the look of the game set up, colours etc. Shame the game starts zoomed in on the board and you have to zoom out to see whole game board, however the zoom feature is great so that you know your pressing the correct box.
Overloaded with advertising
This developer has not realized you can make money displaying ads. It is so overwhelmingly loaded with advertising to annoy you unless you pay to have them removed. It's not even getting that chance with me, it's off my pad! Advertising should not be used as an irritant. - it should be an alternative for lower budget user that still provides support revenues to the developer. Try again!
Controls issue
Promising! But the controls are backwards: it’s difficult (long press) to place a flag, which is the most common action. And it’s too easy (just a tap) to clear a square—which is a rarer and often game-ending move. There should be an option to switch these, so the common action is just a tap, and the risky action is a long press. Also, there’s no way to zoom to fit the screen. It’s always awkwardly a little too small or too large for that.

This WAS the best designed minesweeper game that I’ve ever played. Played it all the time UNTIL THE BANNER ADS WERE ADDED! How can you expect the game to be playable when a banner ad prevents you from reaching the top 3 rows of the board? I was always okay with ads in between games but this is completely unacceptable and I have been forced to find a different app to play this game.

Pretty, but slow, and very annoying inappropriate ads...
The different board styles are pretty, and there are several to choose from, but sadly, that is the high point of this game. There are options to mark or flag a space, instead of the default of revealing on tapping, but if you hold a square, it always cycles flag -> mark -> nothing, so there's no quick way to toggle between mark and reveal. Why I keep getting the same ladies razor advertisement between each game is a bit of a mystery to me, since I'm not a lady, nor do I shave. The game itself is silent, except for the video ads. No explosions, and the success message is so anti-climatic it could be considered digital Xanax. It feels like whoever put this game together has only heard about it from someone else, and has never played this, or any other version. Sadly, the version that shipped with Windows 3.1 was more fun, and appears to have had more play testing. The best thing I can say about this is that there is plenty of room for improvement. For now, I'll keep it around, so I can see if it gets better with the next update.
