- Radar shows fake rain data
Great news response
This local channel provides great local response to news, weather, and events. Thank you, channel 5.
Doc Holliday
Terrible sportscaster. Please take off the air or handcuff him. Who does he think he is impressing. He is a 0.
Action News 5 antenna channel doesn’t work on TV
I appreciate the ability to watch Action News 5 Memphis on this app because the antenna channel never comes in on the TV. Hopefully they will get the antenna channel issue resolved one day…
Notifications or just click bait?
Someone needs to tell the people at Action News 5 that every other news app tells us who died, or what company is going out of business or whatever.. this deal of “legendary director dies..” without mentioning the name etc does not make me open the app. I either just wait for a notification from another news app or google it. Also if a video starts loading I leave and stop the app.
App Bug
Please fix the jerkiness when scrolling through the app. Hard on the eyes.
Worse-to-Worser. Sooo Many Ads
This has become useless. Live TV doesn’t want to work during last storms. It’s unreliable. FOX APP IS BETTER Amount of ads & how obtrusive they are make it feel like malware
Ads
I seldom use the app because 27 seconds of a screaming loud ad is entirely too much.
Is It Just Me??
Your forward button on each story doesn’t work anymore. Is it just my phone? It used to work??
Terrible redesign
Did you focus on not meeting iPhone legibility and accessibility options? Like scaling text with my phone’s settings? Whiever did the redesing made good money for a worse result. Also app needs an “autoplay videos” toggle. Should be off by default.
Used to be great
For the last 6 months, this app has been inaccurate and unreliable. I’m deleting it and finding a better source.
Too many ads to watch before getting livestream
I love action news 5 in Memphis. I love be able to view live news broadcasts since moving out of the metropolitan area. Within the last few months, the livestream drops. Also when going to the livestream there are more ads required to view before getting to view the livestream.
Terrible App
Before the app revamp, I used it a lot. Now it’s just too frustrating to use. If you get a notification of a story and click on it - the app holds you hostage for a bit to force you to stay on the initial ad and then click o. The small arrow to “continue to appear”. Then, even if it’s a text article - say a traffic update, it overrides whatever audio you are listening to and plays audio- usually to a video unrelated to the story you clicked on. Links sometimes don’t work correctly. Haven’t deleted the app only because I hope they will eventually update it again to something better (or just go back to previous version).
Updated app
Just updated this morning and now it won’t open at all. Glad they fixed the bug that was bugging me but I’m still waiting to get a setting update to adjust the font size.
Good app, but lousy radar
I love the hour by hour feature and daily view, but the radar doesn’t work. It frequently shows rain that isn’t present. The developer needs to work on the radar for a better review.
The new update is horrible
I loved the action news 5 app before the update and this new format is awful and hard to use most likely going to delete it!
3 stars
It is ridiculous to have to go to an additional app to get weather!
Bad app
This is not a good app. The responsiveness on the app is slightly delayed. I’m removing this app.
Unusable
Too many ads. Lots of clickbait. There are much better ways to get local news without all the annoyance.
New Is NOT Improved
WAY TOO MANY ADS! When I click on a news story, I get multiple “sponsored” ads that are bogus. I continue to get the ads and never the news story. I also resent that the app tracks & follows my trends. Why can’t I have the option to disable those cookies? I JUST want the NEWS!
Glitchy
Every story I try to view takes me to a page full of ads and everything but the story.
Update makes the app worthless
I would give zero stars. When you click on a news story it only pulls up a page of advertisements, no news story. Revert to your older app!
