No Archive before 2021?
I’m giving 5 stars because we Love ODB. BUT we are upset that we can no longer listen to the older devotions with Les Lamborn. Daily, we would listen to the current devotion and then one from the older archives. You recently took this away from us. Is this some that will be fixed please. With modern technology this should be possible.
It always starts me back over.
I made it to day 323 but it started back to day 1 again. How come it keeps doing that?
Missing text
The latest update has missing text at the end of sentences
Needs WORD WRAP
The messages are good, but only useful if you can read them. Most days, the first paragraph ends with a word mid-sentence going off the right margin, leaving me unable to read the rest of the sentence/paragraph. Very frustrating
Updates breaks things
This is my go to app for daily devotional readings and I truly love it. I have been using this for years but it seems that every time they do an update, something stops working. This new update broke the daily images at the end of the insight. This is quite frustrating.

Missing Text
App has missing text for several months now and today’s update didn’t resolve it. Version 5.5.7 I have been in contact with support throughout the entire time and still no resolution.
ODB
Wednesday, July 8, 2026 Tried to listen to the devotional this morning and there’s an audio playback error. I like listening to the devotional, especially for the prayer, because sometimes the wording for the prayer isn’t very long, but the person saying, the prayer is better. I read ODB on my phone or iPad. Today and yesterday the app won’t open, it just spins. I have shut down my phone thinking that may be the problem, still didn’t work. My iPad works fine, is there a problem with the phones? This is also mess with my daily count of reading.
Counter issues………AGAIN
The Word of God will be forever good, but I just can’t with this streak counter! I can open the app every day at 9am, and on the 7th day the counter will say “1”. On the 8th day, it will still say “1”. Why is this ongoing?
Daily bread
I love daily bread been reading it for years. But I was sad to see that there was a $.99 charge on my account from having this app that you guys do not speak about at all! Since when was God's word sold was very displeased to see that.
Use this every day!
This is hands down my favorite App for audio devotionals and meditating on scripture. I have been loving the Evening Meditation option. Hearing the word read with calming music is helping me a lot. Thank you for making this available.
Won’t load at all
Reinstalled 2 times and still not working so now I will use a browser instead.
Music Too Loud
Enjoy listening to this daily, but find the music distracting during the prayer.
Read streak
I have been extremely frustrated for the length of time I have had this app. I love the app and listening/ reading the daily devotion. What is frustrating is it keeps interfering with my daily streak. Every day for the last month I have read or listened yet it tells me I have only one day on my streak. It used to be every time there was an update it would log me out and reset my streak, but now it doesn’t register at all.
Trying to give this app grace
I initially downloaded the app to access the daily devotional and I LOVE ‘the idea’ of the reading streak feature. I state idea, because the functionality of the reading streak feature is problematic. To the date of this writing (13 Aug 25) I have had my reading streak reset back to 1 day at least 5-6 times. I have also used the ‘Contact Us’ through the app and email communications more times than I care to without any resolution. I have followed all the recommended guidance: ensure that I’m signed in on the app, ensure that I’m on WiFi, am I reading around the same time of day daily, and ensure that I have the most current update (yes to all). I’ve also taken the additional steps of deleting and reinstalling the app, signing out of the app and back in and still the reading streak resets on me. To be fair the other features work well without any problems: reading plans, the Bible, Notifications, Reminders, Various Languages and Evening Meditations (wish this offered a transcript or read along option). However, I mainly use the daily bread devotional section. The reading streak feature motivated me to engage more in my daily reading but with it being ineffective, it’s quite discouraging to continue to read and not see the reading streak count reflected accurately. I haven’t stopped reading but I chose the app over receiving the daily bread email devotionals because of the reading streak feature (it was like an accountability partner in my mind). I want to give grace to this shortcoming as I would like to receive grace. At this point, until the glitch is resolved, I recommend that when users reach out for tech support reference this matter, that the developers go into the user’s account and do a manual count update if possible, based on the user’s feedback of where they stated the reading streak stopped showing the correct count. At this time I’m rating the app a 3 based on my usage of the reading streak feature. Once fixed/resolved I’ll be more than happy to rate the app a 5.
Great
Y’all are doing a great job! I miss the short melody and “Welcome to Our Daily Bread” at the beginning. It gave me time to get my volume right and it was just nice. But, that’s small potatoes. God bless and peace on earth!
Nothing like the paper version
Seems like more emphasis is put on the people involved with publication, writing, narration etc., than reaching individuals. Sometimes the connection between the Bible verse, story and message is missing….like something was just haphazardly thrown together. I receive the paper version and have deleted the app. It is unfortunate because when I am not at home, the paper version isn’t with me. But I always have my phone.
A Great Support
I have been using ODB, off and on, for over 50 years! I keep coming back to it because it is so accessible, encouraging and applicable to my daily life! I love the way it provides a scripture to read and then an application. It is a real-world way for me to envision the scriptures being applied! Log in issues
I love reading the daily devotionals every morning. Lately, I’ve been automatically logged out and have to log back in. I have the app on my phone and tablet. I was able to sign in on my phone using my Facebook account. When I tried signing in on my tablet, I was having issues. I sent an email and was suggested to deleting the app then reinstall it. I did that and I’m still having trouble signing in on my tablet.
RadioFan 2025
I have been a reader fan of ODB devotionals for many years, beginning with the print version, and now the app. For a couple of months now, since the app was updated, it no longer keeps track of my reading streak, and often takes me back to 1, even though I’ve been reading daily. It happened again today. I’m giving you 3 stars for that bug in your app, and 5 stars for content. Your devotions have inspired and encouraged me over the years.

Grew up with the daily bread. I was so excited to see it in app form. However, I started noticing more “woke” content. I promptly deleted & will move on to a different platform. No thanks!
Good App
I like this app overall, I just really wish I could highlight Bible verses! If I could do that then I could replace my other Bible apps with this one.
Cannot open since latest update
Since the latest update I cannot open the app on my iPad mini 2. It tries to load and crashes.
Lost Streak
In the past 2 months I’ve lost my streak. I generally do my devotion in the morning but on the weekends I do it in the evenings. I lost my 153 day streak and lost my new 43 day streak today.
A Beautiful Part of My Mornings with Jesus!
I love this app so much - I enjoy the devotions each morning as I drink coffee, read my Bible, and pray. The devotions are beautifully written and photos are stunning. Heads up, if you have to adjust font size on your phone, some words will seem to “cut off.” (Today’s devotion was a great example of it). I changed the font on my phone back to a bit smaller but I’d love it if (in a future update), the text size was automatic. Perfect app and one I ,can’t imagine being without!
Terrible update
I do not like the update. Please change it back. There was three scriptures a day. One at the top and two at the bottom of everyday’s reading. Please change the app back to how it was originally.
Great Daily Devotional
Love the readings and access to the Bible. My biggest issue is the streak tracker. I have been reading every day for over 6 months and the longest streak will randomly start me over. Doesn’t take away from Gods message or the app it’s k more of a personal goal that’s nice to challenge myself to stay reading for personal achievements as it’s easy to fall off now and again. The challenge tool is great for keeping people engaged but with it not working only issue I’ve had. Great app for all levels. Love it!
Annoying change
Unlike many people perhaps, but I’ve always chosen to listen to the Daily Bread at night just before going to sleep. It used to be like a 2-step button push to access but now it’s crazy how many actions I have to navigate at 11 pm to access the next day’s audio reading!
Bugs with the current update
I use the app everyday but after the latest update, even though I am logged into my account, I cannot bookmark devotionals neither can I access my bookmarks. My streak isn’t tracked. I emailed and got no response/assistance. Its been quite frustrating not being able to bookmark stuff.
New update
I love the new format on devotionals and the evening meditation right on the home page
Terrible
I’ve tried everything to get this app to save the devotions; but keeps asking me to login. When I do it doesn’t accept my login. What’s going on??
Bug in latest version
After applying the latest update to the app which I have been using for a couple of years, the app no longer keeps track of my reading steak. Every day says my streak is 1 no matter how long the streak is. I use the app daily and, yes, I am logged in. Otherwise the app is a 5; but I have to downgrade it due to this bug.
Disappointed with the latest update.
This recent update has negatively impacted the look and feel of the app. The move away from Bible Gateway to an in-app Bible has taken away the ability to see footnotes and references. Also, when reading the Bible passage a stray (accidental ) click on the ‘Bible’ button at the bottom of the screen takes you to the start of the Bible, Gen 1:1 and then you have to return to the devotional and start at the beginning again.
Not my fav anymore
I use to love this app but after the content was changed it’s not my fav anymore. I skip over a lot of the information now
Great Daily Bible Option
I didn’t have time but was able to listen to His word daily through this. I made time and I got like 30 minutes back in my commute time for no logically reason. I was just sharing that with a friend and thought I should share it on a review. If you have no time or don’t know how to study, highly recommend using this app. It’s a blessing.
New audio format
New audio format is distracting. The music in the background makes it rather difficult to pay attention. Will be deleting
Streaks
I love the app but I want to continue to keep track of myself using the app. But it continues to get reset. I was up to 159 days and going strong and now it shows I am back at 1 and no record of it. This is the second time it’s happened to me.
We love it!.....but...
This month we have had Our Daily Bread has been out ( on the internet) for a week or so, we have the paper back... because we like to learn ...the background too! We hope the app. Will be fixed soon! Thanks Shannon

Daily Devotionals.
ODB Daily Devotionals is the best way I have found to start my day focused on Jesus and take the time to read scripture beyond that on which each daily devotional is based. I really like the ability to listen as it is read out loud. It lets me close my eyes and shut everything else out and really hear and concentrate on what is being talked about. The other materials following the devotionals that are related to each daily scripture go further into more insights and keep me thinking and searching for more understanding. Thank you for your gift of these devotionals.
New format is horrible.
I’ve been a faithful reader of Our Daily Bread for a long time, 50 years, but the recent format changes to the app have diminished the experience for me. Now, they start by reading a Bible text, then move into the story, and end with things to think about. While I understand the intention behind this structure, it feels disjointed. What made Our Daily Bread special was how it spoke to your heart in a unique and meaningful way—connecting the story to the message in a way that stayed with you. That sense of connection seems lost. Additionally, the focus on introducing the contributors feels unnecessary and, frankly, like a vanity exercise. In the app, it’s all about highlighting who wrote the devotional or narrated it: “This person is the president of the company,” or “This person narrated today’s story.” These details don’t add value to the devotional and feel self-serving. When I read the paper version, I never cared who the author was—I cared about the message. Now, the emphasis on the contributors feels out of place and detracts from the spiritual impact. Overall, the new format feels less engaging and personal. I miss the old approach that drew you in with a relatable story and left you thinking deeply about the message. I hope the team reconsiders this change and brings back the heart and simplicity that made Our Daily Bread such a powerful devotional tool.
Long time listener
I find the music you added to the readings distracting. Maybe lower the music tone or cut it all together. Thanks.
Crash loading
ODB is a useful app but occasionally crashes while it loads. The only way to restore it is to delete it entirely and reinstall, causing you to lose all your settings. It's been buggy far too long. Please fix this issue permanently.

You’ve made the video icon so small, and the arrow is in the middle of the topic, making it difficult to read. Also, I’d like to know the name of the speaker…it was there before. Thanks

When listening to the audio to scripture the narrator is reading from a different bible. For instance lib but the narrator is reading from NLT please have your narrators read from the same bible as on your app. Thank you!

Miriam ODB is one of the huge aspects of my Christian life!! Since the latest upgrade it won’t open even if touching “Open” in the App Store.
