Don't waste your money on this crappy. Instructions to change to yards does not work. Also must give email of friends if you want to keep their score. Waste of my $7. Wish I could give it ZERO STARS.
Doesn’t work with older Apple Watch
The GPS doesn’t work with an older Apple Watch which makes the app pointless and average if time

Could be good
Been using Vpar for a while now and I can find it frustrating to use, as far as I can see there no way to edit or delete your round very annoying. Only found a button to delete from feed but that doesn’t do anything. Quite accurate calculating handicaps, and found the SI to be accurate. Also app never connects to Iwatch so can’t use that to see yardages etc, contacted VPAR about this and awaiting a reply. Adverts annoying too and need to pay a fiver a month to become advert free. Shame because it is really good at hcap calculations and like I say only golf app that has all the SI of the holes correct that I have used, so it works out stableford points right. I need to use it on my Iwatch though so if this doesn’t work will have to delete app. Latest update seems to connect to Iwatch but now receives a message saying you need premium to be able to see yardages on Iwatch, this wasn’t required before the update so why now?
Leaderboard filter
App is great for scoring with our society, and is much better than manual cards. But the order of the leaderboard is based on nett strokeplay vs VPar HCP, and not based on Stableford points. For example, team A with 16pts appear in 1st place, despite team B having 18 pts. This is because team A’s VPar net score is +16 and team B’s is +22. But format is a fourball stableford, so should show team with most points in lead. Is there a way to change this setting?
Over complicated
This app has so many features and non standard terminology it makes it soooo complicated I have given up after 2 rounds. I want to pitch up at the club, tap a few buttons whilst walking to the tee and off we go. But you have to click play, add a game, name a game, add a leaderboard 🤷🏼select a course with the right number of holes, select a time, view the scorecard then and only then can you view GPS to see what you are driving into. Then you have to close the GPS to add a score and if you don’t open the GPS it forgets which hole you are on 😤 It’s a bit too much for me perhaps I am not techy enough 🏌️♂️Bit more work needed I think OR less work needed, haven’t even touched all the other masses of other stuff in the app that I don’t think most people would find useful.
Updates made but now have errors
Have used for a few years, and it has been great for our groups. Mine updated a few days ago… and now I am unable to change the Handicap allowance from 100%. Also it won’t keep the tee time I have entered.
Great app
Started using this app since it was added to my vitality health insurance. I have since retired all other apps and use this for GPS and scoring. Recently used it in a 40 person tournament for live scoring and it worked flawlessly.
It crashes
Everytime I try and open it crashes. ????
Apple Watch
I’ve recently bought a new Apple Watch see it’s compatible with Apple Watch but is this only for people paying for a subscription?? I have always had the free version and was hoping to get just the yardage on my watch
Not user friendly and glitchy
Swapped from hole 19 to vpar and got to say I wish I won’t be renewing . It’s an endless faff starting a game. Once your through that it doesn’t automatically start on your watch so you have to start your watch too . More endless faff and then it won’t recognise the game you’ve started on your phone. It won’t let you mark down your friends scores on your watch either which you have to get your phone out for defeating the object. Also yardages flicker about constantly . You have no idea how far you are from the green . It’s a mess
Handicap
Does VPAR still update handicaps, if so, how often does it happen, I seem to be playing better, but my handicap is higher?

Great app with many features. Including the use of stats suck as GIR etc. highly recommend it
Disappointing
Facebook login doesn’t work. Reached out for support via email and Facebook messenger and got no reply. 1/10 would no recommend. Go use The Grint
MDDOC
Great app. Slightly slow but I can use it and is does not eat up my iPhone 10 battery.
Course selection crashes on current version
Generally this has been a great app but on the most recent few version the app immediately crashes if you try and access the course list
Good potential but needs work
Been using for a while and there are aspects which are amazing: - friends feed and looking up their games - ability to set up games with friends for me (so I don’t have to)… and more importantly can easily open the app and view - the live scoring for multi-round games …to name a few. A few things lacking: - I don’t understand why I can’t see a graph on my handicap over time (or if that’s a premium feature why it’s premium, it’s fairly fundamental) - ability to search through or filter past scorecards so I can see past results on a particular course without loads of scrolling. Other apps allow you to scroll through score cards and see what counts towards handicap and what doesn’t etc. A few annoying parts: - most courses I play on have signal issues… the app tends to crash when signal is lost! - no ability to turn off course photos in the feed or on scorecards logs… the pictures take up half the screen, I know what it looks like I was there! - past scorecards section should be way more condensed, it should be a list of courses and your profile scores, nice and simple, no photos taking up the screen! - far too frequent bugs and crashes, “something has gone wrong” happens all the time. The last major concern for me is that people can submit scores on your behalf without your consent! There should be a scorecard verification/approval step for all players. I generally find the app a bit clunky and hard to use, often slow to use. Would love to justify premium at some point but at this stage I’m not sure it’s worth it. A trial would be good. It’s better than iGolf app though (IMO)! I encourage the devs to keep working on it :)
Best golf app
I’ve been using VPAR for a number of years now, I’ve tried multiple apps but this for me is the best I’ve used , it’s reliable , the gps is accurate and the features are jammed packed . There isn’t a format you won’t find and it’s perfect for large group society days
Not user friendly
Install the app today tried to use it on the course and it would not even pull up the entire hole it just pulled up straight-line distance to the hole over the water which was a 329 yard shot no way to change position for yardage switching back-and-forth between the hole screen and the scoring screen just seems monotonous
Yard vs metres
Why can't I change to meters. I chose meters in settings but it still give me yards on the measurements
Watch not working
No matter what I do I can't get the apple watch to connect to the app on the phone. Premium subscription is active and attempting to connect to watch via de iced just gives a blank screen and doesn't connect to watch.
Won’t let me change settings
The app itself is fine, it is great for joining in with games and it shows the course setup perfectly. The main issue is I can’t change my profile settings. I’m stuck with distances in metres, the app won’t allow me to press done when I’m finished changing to yards. Within the profile itself it won’t let you press done anywhere so you just have to go with what’s available.

Helen Lawrence and VPAR
It appears that VPAR is now in politics. I received an unprofessional email regarding politics from Helen Lawrence at VPAR. As such, I would NEVER recommend this app to anyone!!! VPAR should be ashamed of themselves and fire Helen Lawrence effective immediately!!!
Good but check the score card
I have used this app for almost a month and it has been great. The only issue was today when the app had the holes mixed up and The yardage was wrong.
Can’t Register
Can’t get passed the register account screen. Doesn’t let me set up the app. Too many bugs I am out!!
Almost great
A lot of potential here. The watch app is nice though would be better if you could do scoring and scroll holes as well. Main downside of this app is it take so many clicks to start a round and overly complex. Other apps I can start a round in two taps on my watch. This required the phone and a very complex flow.
Great alternative to an expensive Garmin
Used VPAR for years rather than buying a Garmin. Does more and costs nothing.
Doesn't work right
Crashes every time you select a course. Useless app.
Vpar App
I downloaded the app recently to help with my scoring. After 3 rounds, I've been able to figure out what areas of my game I need to approve and how to play certain courses. I also enjoy the monthly emails to keep me informed of everything golf. A must download!!!
Watch App
I got this app for the Apple Watch GPS compatibility. I had trouble getting the watch to pick up the round that I started on my phone. Once I did get it started, it displayed accurate “front, middle and back” yardages. The major issue I had, however, was that changing the hole you are on is done with the Digital Crown and the hole kept switching anytime I moved my hand. I had to scroll to the correct hole everytime I took a shot. The hole change should be done with a swipe or an arrow and not with the crown so that it doesn’t change when you do not want it to. This was annoying enough that I don’t want to use the app anymore. If not using the Watch, the phone app is fine.
Good App, But Slow!!
I like this App, love the aerial course view. But the GPS location to get your distance is Wayyyyy to slow, I hope this last update fixes that, if not, I’ll have delete this!!
Great Golf App

Are You Kidding Me?!
What a piece of crap! Although there are at least thirty courses around me, only eight are listed and three of them are listed twice. No GPS display either.
Pretty great
Off the bat the app looked great! The interactive features were pretty cool (i.e. Selecting your course, imputing your handicap, etc.). However, when I wanted to play a round at a nearby course, the app keeps crashing every time I select the course I want to play. Over all, it's a pretty neat app with tons of potential.
CoConverting meters to yard
Downloaded app recommended by another player distances appeared in maintenance meter, good night convert to yards. Otherwise appeared to work nicely.
Good update - almost my #1 choice for golf
Love the update of being able to track putts, FIR and GIR. However, I want this info to be added to the summary that is emailed after completion of round, and access to this summary scorecard within the app. Once that added, this will be my #1 golf app to use.

First thing you'll notice is it's very non-intuitive in its layout. After you figure out how to start a game it doesn't load. If an app doesn't work it doesn't deserve any stars. Back to the drawing board guys
Good app
Vpar is a good app but yesterday at Gingko lake I had some issues for which I Don t know how to forward them to you: When selecting the course I forgot to select the correct tee color. Unfortunately I was not able to change the tee anymore afterwards when being active in the course After the second round at hole 7 the app kicked me out and asked for my login credentials. Despite several attempts the app did not let me enter anymore. Do you know what went wrong? I hope I can bring these to you as I like the app to be using.
Please remove the function of Apple watch’s crown wheel
When play golf Apple watch’s crown wheel is keep spining and keep changing the hole. Need to keep change to current hole

Love this app
Fantastic app for golfers, perfect for finding yardages and keeping track of scores and stats. Super user friendly, I would (and do) recommend this to anyone who plays golf, whether that’s seriously or more recreationally!
Try to use
Will not start unless the male tee color is entered but it will not let you enter a color so the app is useless.

Not a very good app, way too hard to use, You should look at Swing X Swing now they have a good golf app. You guys really need to get to work and make this easy to use.
