Great but needs help
Won’t let me delete pins
this problem hasn.t been repaired for a long time
Why can't I input a location now? There are only a few locations available for input. I can only add new locations by placing them, but this method is not precise.
Can’t edit my tags
In version 6.0.7 on iPhone, I can create new tags with icons, but I can't edit existing tags to change their icon or delete unused tags. Older documentation suggests this should be possible. Is this feature planned to return?
Changes make me sad
This app worked so well for me last year when I joined after another map app ruined itself. I hope it’s just a bug but I am no longer able to click on the name of a location and add it to my pins. If I try, it lists itself as just the address and expects me to know what it’s called and enter my own title for it, which doesn’t work especially when I’m adding somewhere I’ve never been and want to visit. I have to do a lot of extra work looking up the proper name and address elsewhere, which has basically rendered this app useless to me, or at least very hard to use.
this app was ruined
i’ve been using this app for 2 years. i love this app. the new updates have made it unusable. it is incredibly glitchy, doesn’t allow me to search and add new pins, and doesn’t show tags. i will delete this app if it is not fixed. it’s UNUSABLE compared to what it used to be. extremely frustrating and upsetting.
The best
As an urban explorer, this is a must it doesn’t just have customizable pens and also has emblems that go with it so when I’m urban exploring, I can separate my difficulty or category like abandoned houses, factories, hospital,exc you can separate your map pen by color as well and it’s just amazing, also very good at marking skate spots or anything of the sort if you’d like to travel or even go outside it’s perfect and it’s a must have
Worst update ever
I’ve used this app for years. I use it for work. I drop things off to customers and I like to keep track of where I’ve been and when I’m close to a previous customer so I can check on the product. I delete a pin when we no longer go to that customer, and the update brought back hundreds of pins that were previously deleted. So now I have no clue if that is a current customer or one that’s supposed to be deleted. I also take pictures at these deliveries and I can’t even view the pictures. App is no longer useable…unfortunately it’s the only one I can find.
Could Be Superb
This app is amazing and has so much potential, but it is unfortunately the buggiest app I have. If the app worked the way it’s supposed to it would be a perfect app. Still good and I still use it, but it could be superb if it weren’t so buggy.

Used to be great, update made worse
I used to love this app and have created pins for all kinds of restaurants and other places I want to visit — sometimes on short notice (what’s good to eat near where I am?). But the latest update has made it much much harder to use. Pins are bundled until you zoom so far in you can’t get a sense of all the pins in your general area. Really disappointing.
Very user friendly
Pin Drop is a great app! So user friendly, Tom and Justin are so helpful in making sure the app is customized to meet our needs. We benefit best from the shared map between the team to ensure we are not visiting the same places.
Not user friendly anymore
I hate the update that changed the layout of everything.
Almost Perfect
I get you can make a group but I wish it would just plan all the stops into one route instead of having to go through each individual one and navigate to it, unless I’m missing something. I want it to navigate me to all the points without having to go in and out of the app!
Lots of errors.
Very organized but give me so many errors while using it, it frustrates me.
Dumb update
Not sure when they changed it. But now it makes it so much harder to use the map feature. It was nearly perfect. Now it’s a big pain.
Perfect for my Tracking Purposes
I’ve been using this app for about a month now after needing to find an alternative for Mapstr. I looked at several different apps and this one best fit my needs. I’ve been very happy with the app and customer service was very helpful in getting my data imported from Mapstr.
Update is Horrible
I used to love this app so much and the new update makes it unusable. Please please change it back or I’m deleting it and it looks like everyone feels this way, according to recent reviews.
Great but mileage is wrong
I’m making mine over theme parks and I noticed a park in Florida is 143 miles away when in reality it’s much more than that. This also happened to most of my other locations.
some bugs fixed but still annoying to use now
it’s super annoying that the names of the places i’ve pinned don’t appear unless i zoom in super close & the app stalls or crashes a lot. and they’re charging a subscription now?? not worth it in my opinion
Doesn’t show pins under lists
I can’t believe they would release this without testing it… like wtf
Used to be great now super buggy
I love this app for being able to see what cool pins I’ve saved are around me when traveling to try or revisit. I like to categorize, add photos, and the ease of viewing the map. However with the recent updates it’s become more buggy. Anytime I edit an existing pin, it uncategorized or completely makes it (as well as other pins) disappear from the map until the app is reloaded. It doesn’t load photos after you upload them, you have to completely exist the app and reload it.
What happened?
Found this app recently and was thrilled and then they updated the app and was so disappointed! If it ain’t broken leave it alone!
Decent App
Wish I could change the colors of my pins. If I can, it's not that intuitive to do so. Other than that, so far so good.
I once loved this app.
There has been an app update. I now hate how you navigate through the options. I have had tons of old deleted pin drops now back on my profile. Also tons of made up ones too that I had to delete which took over 2hrs. WHY HAVE YOU RUINED THE APP?
Great BUT…
I had been using W3W to mark locations to stay, visit, campsites, Aires etc for my travels in my motorhome, but there is a limit on how many locations can be made and saved. No limit with Pin Drop and really like how user friendly it is. However, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the maps. Sometimes they partially load, sometimes not at all. Changing from satellite view to terrain should be quick and easy but most of the time there is a long delay, then only part of the map loads. It’s so bad that it’s becoming unusable. Really disappointed as I thought I had found the perfect app for my needs.

New update
The new update is terrible. I can’t even use this app anymore. Try emailing them to get a resolution and then crickets after a few back-and-forth emails. There’s app seems to change every 2 to 3 years and there’s always a problem with it.
Just what I needed… but…
Just what I needed! A clear way to pin point locations I want to go to on trips, and so I can categorise and colour code them as well. But The following and followers part of the app doesn’t seem to work that well. I’m trying to share this with my sister as she is going to but we can seem to find each other and when we use the QR code it finds each other but we can follow each other
Seems to be going backwards
The search function is pretty poor. Now really slow and glitchy. Are you just trying to push away the free users. Such a great idea going to waste.
Colour bug
I was really enjoying this app and it had everything I was looking for in one place but sadly the tags that i organised by colour keep reverting back to the basic green. To be able to organise your tags via colour is a pretty big want and so puts me off of continuing to put more time into it. If the colour bug is fixed, this would be a great map organiser app!
best app ever!!
this is precisely what i needed, i couldn’t find an app similar to this and was honest to god about to create one myself. no this one allows you to drop places u went (or want to go to) and put them into a tag / list so u can go back to it. it’s organized, it shows off all your pins in general, AND u can leave pics and notes for yourself
This app used to be amazing but they ruined it
I’m so sorry but I used to love this app. It was the first app of its kind and I used it as a ‘save for later’ list for any place/restaurant/business I potentially wanted to visit. They literally screwed this app up so bad. It has become unusable and now they have the audacity to try and monetize it with a subscription like every other app out there that gets too popular. If you’re going to try and make people pay money for your app, at least make sure the bugs are fixed BEFORE. You can do a full update on the app and change over everything including interface to accommodate the new subscription…. yet did nothing for the bugs and carried them over. It’s a no for me dawg.

Good when it works
More than half the time when I open the app it says, “Oops, something’s not quite right.” So it’s good when it works, but it barely works.
Almost good
The filter function needs some work. When placing multiple pins on a place it only filters by 1 of the pins. If I have a restaurant pinned, and another pin on that place, say Austin and Dallas. I would like to select restaurant then Dallas in the filter to only give those designated spots in only Dallas and not Austin. Also when you add a new place that pops up on the map, it’s assumes that designated pin and puts it in your list. So if you are adding lots of places, your pins folder gets messy and you have to delete all the ones you don’t want.
Nice App for Memories + Great Service
I love this app… added pins since March 2023 of places I travelled, including all of the places we stopped on our honeymoon. A little over a year later, I’d open the app and it would crash before I could even view anything. App was updated, phone had been restarted. Nothing was working. I emailed the developers and they reached out to me immediately and resolved the issues within a few weeks. I didn’t have to stay in touch or remind them, they went above and beyond. They checked in with me once they did their fixes to make sure it worked on my end. Now I get to go back through and see all the beautiful memories I put in there 😊
Becomes More Unusable Every Day
They continue to make updates to this app that completely destroy the value it had. Their latest update adds a horrible interface, deleted all of my lists I created, and brought back all the pins and tags I have previously created. The social aspect to this app is also nearly unusable and took me and another person about an hour to he able to view a list from each other. Use an alternative app.
Good App
The app does what it is designed to to and does it well.
Not sharing friendly
Really easy to add locations horrible to share and add followers to share plans. Sent link to share and they had to send me a follow request, I accepted and it never allowed them to follow.
Almost Giod
The layout is clean but there are two major flaws. 1) If you scroll a map it breaks the tracking and from then on you have to manually position the cursor to drop a pin at your current location. 2) You cannot remove a tag. If you edit a pin, go to tags and try to uncheck a tag it instead duplicates the tag so that you now have two of the same tag. If you try to remove it by clicking the x on the tag label it also duplicates the tag. You are stuck with whatever tag you select when the pin is first created, or the default Uncharacterized if you select nothing. Once the pin is save any thing you do to try to remove or change a tag just endlessly duplicates that tag on that pin.

This is the quickest easiest way to drop pins and share multiple locations!
So much lost potential
This app really ticks me off. It could be so good due its features but the fact that it’s utterly riddled with bugs makes it nearly unusable. It crashes every 5-6 clicks, crashes when you change map views, freezes when you click on a location, freezes when you try to make a location, allows you to type out half the coordinates and then gets rid of all of it. I really want to make this app work because it could be so good, but the endless struggle to make even simple things work turns me away.
The best place bookmarking app I know
I don't like them spamming for reviews, but it is good.
Stopped working
It worked well for the first 11 pins. Then, whenever I would search up a place, it wouldn’t locate it on the map. In order to place a pin, you would have to zoom into the exact place where you want to drop it, which takes so much more time, it’s not even worth it to have the app. I hope it’s a bug or glitch because I enjoyed using it in the beginning!
Needs a little work, but useful
I’m trying to get rid of the enormous overload of tags I created. I keep deleting the data and it shows tags at 0 and they are still there. Short of deleting my account and starting over. I’m not sure what else I can do.

Confusing
Can’t find friends maps and not a super accessible app as for as finding people and things. I don’t understand
Great geo history tool!
This is a great app but it loses points in a few areas. Very easy to use with a neat interface. Some problems carrying all the pins over to the new version and I lost them and had to do a restore on my PC to get them back. Forgets my filter options when I close the app and needs some more options with the filter for time. The option to choose different pin styles would be good and allow more catagories without overlapping pin colour confusion. I also can't find the option to change between map/hybrid/satellite anymore which was useful for me in my work. Otherwise a very useful, clean and clever app that stands out from the others.
What is this about?
Seem very expensive. Not sure what it can do that Apple or Google maps can’t do, perhaps with a little help from online search. And there isn’t a iPad version, where I would do most of my planning.
Not as great as I remember
While it’s been away I’ve discovered Mundus, which has an iPad UI, and generally seems slicker to use. I wish PinDrop would include iPad support.
