- Developer is responsive and helpful
- Easy to use interface
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Fake virus alerts scare users
- App crashes or won't start
- Too much politics and bias
Really cool
Amazing app, but maybe add hacker news or cybersecurity site sources. Thanks
Ads destroy the experience
I just can’t keep using this app. Too many articles pop up whole screen ads while viewing articles and no matter how many times you dismiss they come right back. I’m also fed up with the left leaning articles that do not talk about tech.
Annoying pop up ads-seems to have resolved
Great contents, all tech news in one location. However, very annoying pop up ads every few seconds that started few months ago. I contacted developer and he said he’s gonna work on it but few weeks later and the same problem persists. If this gets fixed the app will go back to 5 stars. Update 10/3/17: the most recent update seems to have fixed the pop up ads issue, not sure why it took the developer so long, maybe he kept them on purpose so people would buy the paid ad free version. I updated my rating to 4 stars pending further validation.
Pop up videos
On sites like a gizmodo I have noticed that it is sometimes impossible to read the content because of videos that keep popping up time after time allowing you no chance to read the content, sometimes it’s even difficult to close the site down because of these annoying video pop-ups
Good concept, iPhone 4 design
This app has SO much potential! There’s a gap in the tech news aggregation space and this fits the bill with the credible tech news stations it contains. HOWEVER, the app hasn’t been updated in 6 months and the interface looks like it belongs on an iPhone 4. Sadly, will not be using. Please improve the UI and UX. Lots of potential here
Fantastic App & Dev
First off, this app is fantastic. It has every site for tech news you could possibly need/want, and you can choose which sites show up in the main feed. It is a literal plethora of news and information. If you’re a tech nerd, you need this app. Second, the app itself works flawlessly. I have been using it on various devices for many, many years and almost never encounter any problems. Feeds refresh and update quickly and articles and sites load smoothly. In the *extremely* rare case an issue pops up, it is quickly addressed and back in working order at an impressive speed. Finally, the developer is first-rate. The app is well maintained and replies to user feedback are handled quickly, politely, and professionally - truly an example to his peers. The premium upgrade is worth every penny, not just to remove the ads, but to support a developer of this caliber. I highly recommend this app, and that you check out his other app, MacHash, for all Apple/Mac/iStuff-related tech news, as it is just as excellent and informative as Tech News Tube.
Had potential but way too much bias
Half of the articles were not tech related but all of them came from lefty sources and were very biased.
5 stars soon?
The app is great and could be perfect for tech professionals. It could be a 5* if we get to have the opportunity to include local magazines (UK specific) or the local editions of the global magazines. Can't wait for this to happen.
Mostly Leftist Ranting
If you are looking for actual tech news probably go somewhere else. At least 50% of this is typical leftist drivel barely disguised as tech news.
Not too bad
Limitless tech news but the interface, thubnails can be improved, also dont include elon mosk as a keyword.
Fab until today
Best Tech news aggregate out there but it has been completely empty for the last week. Is this app dead?
Super left leaning political news app
Fifty business insider articles that have nothing to do with tech at all. Way to left leaning instead of being apolitical and just giving us cutting edge tech news.
Very close to the best aggregator out there
Are aggregators still relevant? I think so. Yeah you can do your lists in your Twitter app or RSS feed, but I don't want to do all that work. Simple interface with a lot more reading controls than other apps out there and I have spent a bunch of time trying different ones out. The ads are annoying and removal is kind of pricy but I've used this app every day multiple times a day for the past week and realized that is worth it.
Fraudulent pop up ads again?
Getting hit again with the “you have won” pop up ads again. I’m about ready to permanently delete it this time.
Enjoying it
It allows me quickly glance and link to news I might be interested in.
Ugly but solid content
Yeah the visual looks terrible to me, but definitely a great aggregation on tech news.
Election Editorials Qualify as Tech News?
I want an app with news on the latest graphics cards, etc. not what Biden and trump are up to.
Good App
A very informative app, although there is probably too many different sites leading to information overload.
Not working
This app is not working it won’t update to the latest news. Every time I press it it comes up then it still shows the same news. The pull down to refresh still doesn’t work.
Ok I guess
Not a lot of "tech" but more "financial tech". I guess that's ok for some, but not what I expected when I dl'd this app.
TECH NEWS IS THE BEST!
I love TECH NEWS!! Thanks for always giving current and accurate information!!:-)
Too many anti trump articles
This is a tech news source. I want to hear about tech news. I know the low level tech employees are all anti trump but I don’t want to hear politics when I’m trying to learn new tech info. I know I change drop settings but still
Great
Nice mix of tech news
Virus message
Since last update virusmesagges appear on iPhone. Fix it !
?
I don't frankly know why this app has such a high rating. The interface gets on my nerves. Seems like everything is misaligned and the annoying banners attempt to draw your attention when you're in the middle of an article. The content is satisfactory.
By far the best source of technology news
Definitely a good one for complete source of technology news.
Not working.
Has not worked in over 24 hours. No response as to why. Edit: worked briefly but quickly went down again.
Very good
Comprehensive app! Keep up the good work.
Fake iPhone virus alerts
Could be a great app but the multiple Fake virus alerts have got to go

Bugged me for a review
So I gave them one. And then it bugged me again. Can I take away another star?
Nicely done guys!
It's really comprehensive & updates info really well . Easy to share too. Hope the layout of articles can be made more uniform across sites & that the video playback doesn't suffer delays in your upgrade . I love this app
Tech "Headline" Tube!
No full stories just headlines with mayb a sentence or two then a link to b able to go to the actual source & read the whole story, which more times than not ends up just being a few more paragraphs. The upgrade to remove ads is very misleading, it's only for the app not for when you go to the source for the full story, you'll get your ad after loading it! Shame on me for not learning my lesson from other apps that have done this. The safari option is a joke as it just completely leaves the app. One other reason I did the $4 upgrade, because in the app description it says how you'll be able to choose safari over the default! Feeling like I've been Tech News Tubbed!
Excellent
The articles are spot on and very detailed.. keep up the great work folks
Shady Practices
I bought the premium upgrade to remove ads a while back, in the latest update the ads are back. When I went to restore my purchase conveniently my “previous purchase not found” Until this gets corrected or resolved I have to not recommend this app.
Good
No complaints
Not a bad format. But it shows same article about 50 times
I was looking for a configurable tech news app that would show me stuff I'm interested in based off the articles I clicked on. This is not that that app. I'm also tired of seeing the same article over and over again, in the list of ten stories, 4-5 are probably repeats. I do like that they pull from a lot of tech sites, but they have some work to do on their display engine.
App lunch failed
Can’t even lunch the app, any time I tried unexpected shutdown please try to fix as soon as possible I need to get my tech new. Can’t live without Tech News Tube.
The app will not start
App no longer starts and cannot access any content
Good aggregator
You'll need to spend 69p if you want to get rid of the ads that, in tandem with the app borders, sometimes reduce the article itself to half it's intended size. It's not a huge problem though (and it's the only one that springs to mind) as you can opt to view any article in the embedded browser.
Too repetitive!
Ok app but soo repetitive it's not worth reading. Pick a few good report teams or companies and only show their stories cuz reading 15 stories about the same thing is just dumb.
Still my Go To
After a couple years this app is still my go to for tech news! It does not have every feed that I want, but it’s still great. I have tried a few other apps but this one has won out every time.
Crash on startup post update on iPhone 7 and iPad Pro 10.5. Please address ASAP.
1/17/2018. Post update app crashes on startup. Please address ASAP.
Top cheeky little app
Nice fast little app for bringing all the tech news you might need. Could do with a bit more configuration especially an option to only sync over wifi or at least an option to cancel the sync as you can't read whilst it is syncing.
