What people like
- Great for finding the ISS easily
- Very helpful for telescope pointing
- Simple and fun to use
What they complain about
- Keeps crashing and freezing on launch
- Sky positions are often completely wrong
- Missing planets like Neptune and Pluto
- New paywalls block most free features
Don’t judge me please TwT
It’s a nice app but I wish we can see more space objects then having to buy more space objects.
Poor
It don’t show what I Looking at in the sky. I can point it at a wall and tells me there stars wth?
Good but
I like this app I could learn more about space and all that but I really wanna see my favorite planet Pluto can you please try to add Pluto? Other than that, it’s a really good app. I’m learning so much.
Okay
It doesn’t have England on the location for manual set up but other than that it is ok
Beautiful but lacking?
I love the graphics and descriptions… but, why no Neptune? It’s completely not there, in the “sky view” or even in the search. I’m so confused.
Dr
I have become an amateur astronomer.
Fake
It’s fake point it down!!!
can you please add galaxys to the game
please add galaxys owner
Weird lately
The app backwards on my iPad, but fine on my phone. I’m facing south, but the app says I’m facing north. Eastern USA.
Could not put in my country
When it asked to select a country I tried to type in England but didn't work
Absolutely love!
Such a useful and fun app. Highly recommend to anyone!
Bad
You have to move your phone and I can’t see the planet or moon!!!!! Stop making apps!!!!!!
No Artemis?
Amazing app but missed opportunity with no coverage of Artemis moon trip…
What
This told me the moon was to the south when I could see it to the north…
Great app if I could figure how to use it
Great app, I think, but I cannot figure how to use. Need something easy to see first. Perhaps the moon?
Funnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Very cool and fun
Wrong
You have no idea how to figure out where people are. Stop making aps.
It’s fun
I like it, however I would have liked to see where Artemis was around the moon, just as like when they show where the ISS and telescope are in the sky.
Lwk stopped working, mkay?
So uh I used to use this app, mmkay? It was great and very accurate, but now that I try to use it again it just won’t work, mkay? It’s stuck on a red line in the middle of the screen with the letter N in the middle and random stars that won’t move no matter how much you move the screen, mkay? It WAS a good app, mkay? But lwk stopped being good, mkay, so uh… pls update the darn app, mmmmkay?
Good when it’s not confused
This is a pretty slick app, guiding you around the night sky. It will name what you’re pointing at, or let you search for something (a certain star or planet, say) and point you to the right spot. Cool. But it can be disoriented. This morning before dawn it had constellations in the wrong places. I’m in Aotearoa New Zealand, so the ecliptic is in the northern sky. Yet it was claiming planets were in the south. Meanwhile the N, E, S, W tags were spot on, so it wasn’t a compass problem. More like it didn’t understand the southern hemisphere. Then suddenly, pop! It lined itself up correctly. Can’t explain, but it leaves me wondering whether I can rely on it. Now off to find Matariki (Pleiades) for Matariki Day!
THE BEST STARGAZING APP
YOU SHOULD GET IT. Has no adds not even a single one
Use to be good, not so much anymore
I have had this app for years, and it use to be dead on. Now I can aim at the moon and it will be way off on the app from where I am pointing. No longer worth keeping this app if it doesn’t even show correct positioning of anything in the sky.
Great Game but
Please read all of this I love this game but it has been really glitched and kicking me out and there are adds in the middle of it☹️
Will not open
I had this on an older iPad, I don’t recall the iOS but it worked fine. I had to get another iPad, iOS 15.8.6 and now it doesn’t open. I have tried deleting and reinstalling but same problem. It even says on the app it’s compatible with this iPad. I’m mystified.
Not accurate
I love this app because I can find out what planets are where but when I point up to the sky, nothing is where they are, if that makes any sense
Best app!
I Love this it helps me point my telescope at planets and star best app
Waste of time and money
The free version doesn’t even show a quarter of the constellations. Very disappointing.
Okay for identification of objects in the sky but lacks Time Travel
It's a fine simple to use app for identifying objects in the night sky but I wish it had a "Time Travel" feature that showed a dynamic view of the night sky as you moved a slider for date and time. Today we heard on the radio this morning that there was to be a "planetary parade" and I wanted to be able to time travel to this evening and see just how long it would be lasting. The date time input is just too long winded to make it usable for this.
PLS UPDATE
This app is amazing and I love it, but lately it has been messed up. The sun will be actively setting in the East but the app will say it is in the West. The planets aline tonight and it is cloudy here and I cant use this app the see what is going on through the clouds. Pls update your app. It will be very appreciated!❤️
Suddenly not working
This app has consistently worked for me for the past 3-4 years. Suddenly the screen is frozen, it shows no planets, and nothing I do in settings fixes it. I’ve tried calibrating, I’ve tried deleting and redownloading. Something is wrong with the code suddenly. Please fix it because I really enjoyed this app.
My first astronomy app
Recently bought a telescope and was looking for a free app. Lite is a great app. I really enjoyed it!
This app sucks, and I am being polite
It has never been aligned with the actual stars. I have had this app for at least four years and it has never accurately shown the stars. Always at least 5 degrees off, at least! I just want to know what I am looking at and the app does not help. It sucks!
Lynda103
I use this last night 3rd Jan when the moon was really bright and it said Saturn was next to it. Everybody else has told me it wasn’t Saturn it was Venus.
Unimpressed
Bro it literally said the moon was at my feet
Why do I need to pay
Why do I need to pay? I bough tight
Good
I use the free version and have for several years. I recommend it. Best constellation app I have found.
App problem
Why was it keep kicking me out instead of entering, when I tried to enter, it kicked me out again, was there a virus in there
Compass
I am showing the compass is on in settings but I lost the compass in viewing.
Seems to have stopped working after the last update.
Very good for a long time but after the last update it opens and after a few moments it crashes. Reinstalling does not end the problem.
where are the other planets
neptune and uranus are missing?? but overall a goo app with great facts
Cool
Cool
Ugh
New paywalls make using the app almost impossible. A couple years back, it was super close to free; now y’all are turning greedy. Night Sky is better.
Helpful, smooth and super easy to use
Works amazingly! I was trying to see if it was the milky way i spotted and it was! Very helpful but the arrow that pionts to where it is is a bit faded so it would be helpful if it showed you where it is. Apart from that, this is an amazing quick and useful app!! ✨🌟🤩☄️🌠🔭🌃
Freezes
When it works it is 5* But it freezes and the stars are fixed in the screen, not moving according to phone directions
It was taking too long to download
It is a good app but it is not accurate , one time I used it it said the moon was mars!!!!!!
Best app!
I use this app almost daily to see chem out the stars, find where the ISS is located and so much more! I have inspired my adult children to check out the skies, especially the night skies, and. Is I do this with my granddaughters.
Off targets
I’ve had this app for years. However, using my husband’s phone tonight we loved Venus because it wasn’t showing on my app… it was in the complete opposite direction. I deleted the app and all data and it’s still not properly displaying the planets..And yes, the software is up to date, my phone is up to date and it’s been calibrated several times to no avail… sad to see it go, but oh well.
Good App
Very useful and informative.
Camera
When using the app with location services and good internet connections the camera doesn’t work for an Apple iPhone
Please make a separate older version
I use old iPhones as im broke but i would use it almost every night to help me with my star photography but i can use it anymore as even the “latest compatible version” crashes my phone. RIP my phone it is still stuck in IOS 15.
