Game CHEATS!
I have played the game hundreds of times and it routinely cheats to win which is irritating. The dice rolls aren’t random when the computer needs a specific roll to knock you back or rolls itself 4 dice to win. Bad, lazy programming!
Good for beginners
The AI isn’t terribly smart even on hard it makes some fairly daft moves however it’s one of the very few backgammon games where the dice throws seem to be fairly random and not loaded in the computers favour. Good game
Completely ruined by ads
They’ve taken a peaceful pastime and made it annoying by adding ads. It completely takes all the fun out of it for me. This was such a great game before the ads. It was my very favorite. Now it makes me so annoyed.
Novice player
A good game to learn the basics of backgammon.but even as a beginner I have noticed it vavours the computer.. if you have a single piece the dice always comes up with the right number to send you to the bar.at the finish line the computer always gets at least one set of four dice.will carry on and try to win.
Great interface
Love this Backgammon version. Only wish it ran on a Windows PC.

Def not random rolls
In the most competitive level, computer gets a ridiculous about of doubles. Also, rolls are not random as I have never had to do an initial re-roll of the first single dice, as there has never been a double roll to start. Also, computer roll targets single pieces and repeatedly gets dice rolls that can hit any of my single pieces.
Glitchy
I’ve had a lot of fun with this program for a long time, but if I don’t completely close the app down periodically, it gets very glitchy. Checkers disappear, checkers from both opposing sides appear on the same point (I wish I could attach a screen shot to prove this) or a checker on a point cannot be moved - I roll the dice and am told no move is possible. This has happened several times, unless I completely close the program and sweep it off the start screen and reboot it
GREAT GAME, GOOD FUN
A few days ago I downloaded every single FREE backgammon app. I wanted to find the best of the best. I found it in this game. Having a lot of fun playing. I just wish there were different boards and dice to choose from. But, oh well, can’t always get what u want. Give this game a try. In sure u will like it. After all, it’s free and only takes up a few minutes of your time. U wont be sorry!

One of the better games
I’ve enjoyed playing this app. It’s very good for teaching beginners the basics of the game and would have awarded you more stars. However there are still a few glitches, as people have stated. I have had two chips on the bar, when I’ve thrown the dice on got one chip on the board, it has allowed me to move it twice whilst still having a chip on the bar. On occasions I have moved a chip once but the computer then moved another chip for me and not always in my favour. There have been other occasions when I have touch a chip, which then gets highlighted in yellow does not move where you tell it too and the game stalls a little then the chip, may randomly move. This does not happen often but does need fixing. Having said all this it is one of the better free apps, with very few ads.
Cheating Computer
I finally decided to delete since it was consistently leaving an immovable piece on the board allowing the computer to win. Really frustrating.
Infuriating at times
Just had to say I play this game a lot but find it infuriating how it will, 95% of the time, throw the exact number it needs to put you on the bar or when all your pieces are almost back it throws you a number giving you no option but to leave at least one piece open - and it then throws the correct number to put you on the bar! It happens almost all the time so it cannot be a random throw of the dice! That, for me, is the only thing that spoils this game.
Backgammon deluxe
7/26/2021. This has been the best backgammon game I have ever had. I have tried at least four or five of them and to me it seems the opponent always had ALL the doubles every solitary game and I could never beat them on a game On this game at least I have a chance and I’d like that both teams are able to get doubles. I personally think the other backgammon games cheat. Why would you want to play their games and never get to win and never get doubles??? I have played this game for many years and it is the best for solo games against the computer. Joan from Massachusetts

Hard is too easy
Playing on hard and I beat it the majority of the time. Needs another level to be challenging and the option to roll exact number to go out. Otherwise it is a good game.
The computer’s dice roll is frequently not random rolls
This game “ cheats” a lot. It seems to go in waves where even if you look like you will easily win, the computer rolls these impossible rolls where it beats you.
Long time player
I have been playing this game (app) for years and in the last 6 months the glitch’s where you have to restart and the amount of adds have gone through the roof. Very disappointed in the fact it updates and only is getting worse. I give it a 3 only because I know it was better years before and hope it’s fixed soon .
DO NOT USE App uses your camera without permission
Love this app had for a few years until I found out it was using my camera for NO REASON !! WHO KNOWS WHAT OTHER SPYWARE THEY HAVE ON MY IPAD. Gave it 5 stars so this will get read, use another developer.
Glitchy
App repeatedly freezes and requires closing/ restarting. Today it kept telling me i had “no moves” after I had cleared my pieces from the board, i.e., I “lost” because the app kept allowing the computer to make moves after I had won.

Bare Craig
Have had no problems whatsoever. Other versions would freeze or experience a problem and you had to start over. Not here. LOVE it.
Nope
This has been my goto fave board games for YEARS and recently they added ads that kidnap you and take you where you don’t want to be. I think they want pay to keep it from using high pressure selling. Nope, not for me. It was a great way to relax, now it’s like every other game that I walk away from.

Entertaining for the most part. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an add.. that’s VERY nice. I agree computer seems to make irrational moves leaving itself open to numerous captures. I do win more than the computer which would be more satisfying IF it truly was a more challenging level. However... after bad day at work it does feel good to sort of kick some butt😉 Great way to teach children their numbers and to critically think ahead of cause and effect

The computer makes very bad decisions, even on the most difficult setting. Fun to win, but not challenging for any experienced player.

Deleting RIGHT NOW
This was a perfectly fun app to play. They added the most intrusive ads I have every seen in an App. Charge us but don’t bombard us with useless ads because you’ve had a few downloads there is plenty of other games in the store and this is not worth it.

Helpful to anyone learning to play. Not enough challenge for more experienced players. Game has closed a few times toward the end.

I win 95% of the time but that's not the point. Your offense is bad in my opinion but your piggish amount of doubles is truly incredible. As my friends watch me play, I'm the queen of double ones and 6-3 to open. As I can predict your rolls, if I have a lone man out, you inevitably give yourself the exact rolls to hit and cover. You always have anywhere from 4-8 men in MY house! Don't like paying rent? Don't want to go home? Truly amazing the only point open was my three, I had up to three of you on the wall many times and yet you would get doubles threes each and every time! Wonder what odds of that would be. But it's your game, I guess I should feel privileged for letting me play! Gee thanks, I am truly humbled by your brilliance!
Computer is the winner
I had to upgrade from my old backgammon app, to this new one. The odds are stacked against you to win or even get remotely to finishing. Slow and ponderous compared with the lightning fast old one that now doesn't work on this new stupid iOS11 upgrade.

Great game for beginners and experienced. Other games advertised, but expected as it is free.
Doesn’t work correctly
Besides poor graphics, the app just didn’t work correctly. Sometimes it wouldn’t let me make a legal move and other times with a double it would only allow me 3 moves. Deleted game before I even got half way through.
Flawless
This app works perfectly. The computer opponent is a little week in his game but the app works perfectly.
Cheater
The computer chests like crazy, giving high count doubles, giving the puck on the bar JUST the right number to get to the open space on your side, giving just the right number to knock you off. I play this cheating game a lot so I see this over and over. I get so p***ed I will start over when it cheats. The other back gammon games aren't all that great. Wish someone would develop a fair game that would just play fair. Almost to the point to delete this.
Good entry level game
It's a ok game but if you know how to play don't bother. The AI on hard is really easy and the play is one game only no double option. If you are starting off it's a good starting point.

This game cheats in plain view!!!
This game has always cheated in favor of the computer. Aside from the multiple reviews pointing out how the computer opponent gets a ridiculous amounts of doubles, the recent glitch that actually SHOWS ME the re-roll so my man/men can be taken out is what has me looking for another game. Now I can actually see the computer’s original roll, which doesn’t hit any of my men or doesn’t get it off the bar, and then with a shiver and a buzz, it rolls again to get its perfect roll. There’s cheating, then there’s throwing it in our face. Best choose another game if you’re looking.

I love Backgammon but, this game you win all the time. I tried the hard setting and I still win every game. I like a challenge. Winning all the time is boring.

Even on "hard" I have never lost a game. Computer needs to step up its' game. All dice games have unpredictable out comes but some skill is required. All it needs are some basic probability tables!
Good but a little lacking
Decent graphics, good speed of moves' animation but red and black counters don't have enough contrast on my iPhone SE's smaller screen. Computer gameplay quickly becomes predictable so the challenge wanes after a dozen or so games. Good starter as an ad-supported game.
