Handling der App
Im Prinzip gut im handling, Favoriten speichern , Schrift / Zeichen ziemlich schwach, blass. Ändern des Zieles etc. bei vor / zurück erfordert neue Zieleingabe, wäre besser wenn Zieleingabe bliebe. Ansonsten ok.

Nützlich aber ausbaufähig
Die App ist nützlich, solange man keine Ahnung hat. Ticketkauf perfekt! Leider zeigt die App aber nur die angeblich schnellsten Verbindungen an, bei denen man aber vielleicht 3x umsteigen und Fußwege absolvieren muss. Eine bessere Verbindung mit Bussen, bei der man nur 1x umsteigen und auf den nächsten Bus warten muss, wird nicht angezeigt, obwohl man insgesamt nur 2 Minuten länger unterwegs ist.
Swipe Rechnet Falsch Ab
Habe mit Apple Pay für Swipe bezahlt. Nur die anfänglichen 10€ wurden eingezogen. Die zusätzliche Differenz am Ende des Tages aber nicht. Habe keine Benachrichtigung oder Ähnliches erhalten, dass etwas nicht mit dem Bezahlen geklappt hat. Jetzt habe ich eine Mahnung von einer dritten Partei bekommen inkl Mahngebühren. Das Kundenzentrum kann man nicht per email erreichen. Bin dann noch ein zweites Mal mit Swipe gefahren. Wurde sogar von einem Schaffner mit meinem Swipe Ticket kontrolliert. Jedoch tauch die Fahrt gar nicht mehr in der App oder Swipe Konto auf, obwohl 10€ an Fahrtanfang von über Apple Pay eingezogen wurden. Habe wieder versucht das Kundenzentrum zu erreichen, aber wieder ohne Erfolg. Bekomme ich jetzt noch eine zusätzliche Mahnung???
Unbrauchbare App voller Fehler
Die App ist leider voller Fehler. Eine Registrierung ist kaum möglich und selbst nach einer erfolgreichen Registrierung funktioniert der Login beim Ticketkauf nicht. Obwohl Benutzername und Passwort korrekt sind, erscheint ständig die Meldung, dass sie falsch seien. Auch das Zurücksetzen des Passworts funktioniert nicht – die E-Mails kommen nicht an oder es werden Fehlermeldungen angezeigt. Die App zeigt regelmäßig Fehler an und macht den Ticketkauf unnötig kompliziert. Sehr enttäuschend.
Essential for Visiting Munich
I downloaded the MVV app and registered before we left the UK for our European road trip, which included a three-day stopover in Munich. It made getting around the city incredibly easy. We simply bought our tickets in advance, paid with Apple Pay, downloaded them to our phones, and could hop on and off public transport without any hassle. As a family of four, the Group Day Ticket for Zone M was excellent value, as we weren’t planning to visit the usual tourist attractions outside the city centre. It gave us unlimited travel on the buses, trams, U-Bahn and S-Bahn, so we could explore Munich at our own pace without worrying about buying individual tickets. I would certainly recommend the MVV app to anyone staying in Munich. It’s simple to use, convenient, and takes all the stress out of using public transport.
Awful, doesn’t work with credit cards
Only works with debit cards, has lots of bugs. As a German, I’m quite embarrassed when traveling with an international group.

Stürzt seit dem Update im Ticketshop ständig ab.
Unzuverlässig
Eigentlich ist die App ganz okay aber es war bei mir jetzt schon öfters der Fall das der Bus nicht gekommen ist der eigentlich vorgegeben war . Jetzt stehe ich an der Bus Halte Stelle und kann den Bus 20 min später nehmen weil auf die App zum groß Teil kein Verlass ist .
Easy/ convenient
I used this app to find my way through Munich's amazing public transportation system. It was easy to use and to pay for tickets. I would suggest making it easier to figure out how many zones you are moving through from starting point to destination, to pay correct ticket amount.

Stürzt immer wieder ab
War immer sehr zufrieden mit der der App und habe sie gerne hergenommen. Jetzt stürzt sie dauernd ab, ich weiß nicht ob ich ein Ticket habe, weil es entweder verspätet oder gar nicht angezeigt wird. Konnte am Montag nur per Mail beweisen, dass ich eins gekauft hab. Wenn ich auf Ticketshop tippe schließt sich die App sofort. Würde mich freuen, wenn es wieder funktioniert. Ich habe ein IPhone 14 Plus und IOS Version 26.5. Vielen Dank im Voraus.
Wichtige Funktion entfernt! Warum???
Leider hat nach einem Update (Myriaden?) diese App die Funktion verloren, dass als Startpunkt für das Ticket die aktuellen GPS Daten genommen werden. So ist es mir leider schon passiert, dass als Startpunkt eine falsche Haltestelle angezeigt wurde (die noch im Speicher war). Glücklicherweise wurde ich bei diesen Strecken nicht kontrolliert… ich habe das dem Anbieter auch mitgeteilt, aber nach mehreren Updates ist immer noch keine Abhilfe geschaffen. Daher wohl so gewollt… Schade
Fahrtzeit falsch
Für die Tram 18 (ab Fach er Str Richtung Gondrellplatz) und Bus 56 (ab Terofalstr Richtung Großhadern) sind die in der App angegebenen Fahrzeiten einfach falsch. Sie stimmen mit dem, auf der jeweiligen Haltestelle ausgestellten, Fahrplan nicht überein.
Superb app
Just back from Munich and downloaded this standing at the airport station on arrival. Can’t say enough how handy this was, well thought out and incredibly useful. Superb!
Refund issues
This APP does not allow for refund due to error message telling me payment failed but in reality it did not Typical German garbage where they do not know how to do proper UI I owned a software company in US and UI was super critical
Wallet Nutzung
Leider fehlt immer noch die Möglichkeit Wallet zu nutzen.
Ich war eigentlich zufrieden
Die App war gut, aber ich kann keine Tickets mehr kaufen. App stürzt bei Aufruf des Ticketshops ab. Habe mir jetzt mvgo geladen. Blickt keiner durch, ob das ein Ersatz ist, oder ob beide apps weitergepflegt werden
Unklare UI
Wenn die App beim Öffnen auf „meine tickets“ steht, ist die Liste leer. Stattdessen findet man einen Hinweis, man solle sich einloggen, wenn Tickets fehlen. Nach dem Login (der leider auch dann funktioniert, wenn man schon eingeloggt war, was für zusätzliche Unklarheit sorgt) fehlen nach wie vor alle Tickets. Stattdessen muss man nach dem Starten auf den Ticket-Shop gehen, dort sind auch die gekauften Fahrkarten noch vorhanden. Wenn man anschließend wieder „meine Tickets“ anwählt sind sie dort auch wieder da. Sofern man das weiß ist das irgendwie noch verschmerzbar, wenn man es versucht herauszufinden, während neben einem eine ungeduldige Kontrolleurin steht, ist es allerdings unnötig nervenaufreibend.
Can’t buy tickets anymore
One of the worst upgrade, I have ever seen on the application. Please fix it or go back to the old version as it’s quite annoying for purchasing tickets and can’t buy it.
MVV-swipe is terrible
Would not accept my company credit card - no error message, just shows a couple of buttons in German. Tried again with my personal credit card and it was accepted. Registered with my email and got the email to activate, but the next time I logged in, it wouldn’t let me. Asked for a password reset and it said it sent an email, but nothing arrived. Great app if you like headaches and wasting time. gute Arbeit!
Helpful navigation!!!
This app is excellent for navigation, real time options for the fastest trip. It’s generally very user friendly, as well. Lately, however, it has been automatically logging me out and I have had trouble accessing my ticket in a timely fashion. Also, I wish the app provided more information on service interruptions.
Abstürze und verlorene Tickets
Ich habe ständig Abstürze der App sobald ich in den Ticketshop will. Buche ich über die Suche stürzt die App beim Bezahlvorgang ab. Ticket wird nicht angezeigt aber das System warnt mich vor einem Doppelkauf. So ist das System hochgradig unzuverlässig.

Very useful app
I never write app reviews but am doing so here because the other reviews were so negative as to be misleading. Perhaps the app has been improved recently, but I found it superbly useful. Registration is no more arduous than for anything else, payment was swift and easy, and the English language functionality is flawless. Excellent for my short visit to Munich.
Be sure you are buying the correct ticket.
Mobile or online tickets will not receive refunds. I bought an incorrect ticket and noticed almost immediately. I contacted customer service immediately since there is no way to cancel a ticket within the app. I received a response a week later - “thank you for contacting MVV. Mobile and OnlineTickets are excluded from exchange, return and cancellation.”

Ich nutze die MVV-App sehr gerne und bin insgesamt super zufrieden damit. Die Fahrplanauskunft ist extrem zuverlässig, die Verbindungssuche mit Echtzeitdaten funktioniert top und auch das Ticket-Kaufen im Alltag ist super unkompliziert. Die App erleichtert mir das Pendeln in und um München in den allermeisten Situationen wirklich sehr! Es gibt jedoch einen kritischen Punkt, der das Erlebnis im Zug leider oft sehr stressig macht: die Offline-Nutzung des Deutschlandtickets. Wenn man auf Strecken mit schlechtem Mobilfunknetz unterwegs ist, fällt es der App unheimlich schwer, das Ticket zügig aus dem lokalen Speicher (Cache) zu laden. Statt den QR-Code sofort anzuzeigen, gerät die App oft in eine lange Ladeschleife, weil sie im Hintergrund versucht, eine Serververbindung aufzubauen. Da Screenshots offiziell nicht erlaubt sind, steht man bei einer Kontrolle in einem Funkloch dann plötzlich ohne vorzeigbares Ticket da. Das führt leider zu unnötigem Stress mit dem Kontrollpersonal, obwohl man ein gültiges Abo besitzt. Als konstruktiven Verbesserungsvorschlag für ein kommendes Update würde ich mir zwei Dinge wünschen: 1. Eine Optimierung des lokalen Speichers, sodass das Ticket im Offline-Modus sofort und ohne jegliche Serverabfrage geladen wird. 2. Eine native Apple Wallet-Integration. Wenn man das Ticket direkt ins Wallet schieben könnte, wären alle Lade- und Internetprobleme dauerhaft gelöst. Wenn dieser Punkt noch behoben wird, ist die App für mich absolut perfekt und verdient die vollen 5 Sterne! Vielen Dank an das Entwicklerteam für die ansonsten tolle Arbeit.
Kein Apple Wallet, aber okay
Die App ist umfangreich, aber leider immer noch unausgereift. Trotz eines gekauften D-Tickets wird beim Start immer „kein Ticket vorhanden“ angezeigt. Erst im Ticketshop ist es zu sehen, danach auch unter „Meins Tickets“. Andauernd „Authentifizierungsfehler“ Pop-Ups. Und immer noch kein Apple Wallet, für mich ein No-Go (bei der MVGo App geht es auch - da bin ich jetzt zurück gewechselt). Verbindungen etc alles super, aber die App ist nicht ausgereift, auch mit zwei unterschiedlichen Logins, macht einfach keinen Sinn. Bei der MVG mit der MVGo-App ist das alles viel besser umgesetzt.

More route options
Pretty easy to use app but I’d like more route options shown. My husband and I standing next to each other used the app to route from and to the same location, each receive different options.

The new app looks great, but on the eve of Wiesn, the English translations in the ticketshop have been removed. Not cool for people that were planning to use this app to get around Munich during Wiesn.

Useless app
Atleast as a non German, this app did nothing but make it more confusing
A pain that could and should work but does not
Often won’t display tickets to buy. Need to delete app and download and register again... and again… and again… Shame.
Unable to use
This app might work if you live in the area but I tried to use it as a tourist and got absolutely nowhere. How do you buy a ticket? Just gives you error messages. Is the ticket good for a day, a single ride, an area? Unable to tell. Some of these things might be the mystery of the local bus system but I was unable to use this app to access it, and I really wanted to try the bus.

Easy user interface and functionality is very good
Took money, no ticket
Beware: This is a scam app. When I was traveling from the hotel to the airport, I bought a ticket with my credit card. After transaction was complete, the ticket didn’t appear in my app and the receipt was not send. When I contacted the support and tried to explain the situation and request my ticket or refund of the money, MVV told me that I was lying to them and that I actually had a ticket (when in reality there was nothing in the app). They closed the case without returning my money.

No more Apple Pay
About two days ago, the app stopped offering Apple Pay as a payment option, leading me to being late as I had to find a Kartenautomat instead. This also means that I now need to store my card info MVV on the web app, which is extremely slow and un-user-friendly. I'll update the review once, and if, Apple Pay returns. Otherwise, the app works as advertised.

This app is incredibly confusing to do basic tasks. It’s obvious that all UX paths align with the backend but not with how users would want to find and purchase a ticket. Hire a product manager. Hire a UX team

Just because I download the app in an English-speaking country it doesn't mean I don't/won't speak German. Why no choice of language MVV? Only 2 stars because I don't like being pigeonholed. Not user friendly when you do this!
