Problem
Whenever I open the app or give it a break, it just doesn’t let me load in. I have it on a family account but it won’t let me log on so can you please fix that bug? Otherwise it is an amazing app.
Doesn’t work most of the time
When the app works it’s fine. Lately it never loads. It will show no connection at the bottom whether I’m on WiFi or cell data. Constantly has to buffer or load. Now I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and now I can’t even log in. Never gets past the password screen. Oh and it’s not just my phone app either. Happens quite a bit on my PlayStation, laptop, etc. it’s not my router or network because other apps work just fine. Fix it or I’m unsubscribing
A great app, but
For some reason whenever I enter the app half of the time it just straight up, doesn’t work like I’m stuck on the loading screen and the symbol just never turns on me go into Hulu. I have to close it and open it more than a dozen times just so I can watch my show.
Horrible experience
You either have to watch the content with black bars on all four sides, or you zoom in and cut off part of the video. Apps like Netflix does it correctly. I can fill the screen without cutting off the image showing the content like it was originally made. You know like any other device on the planet. Which makes watching content on Hulu pointless on an iPhone.
App cuts off episodes
Extremely annoying app. Can never watch the end of an episode. It cuts it off and skipped to the next episode when there is still several minutes left. Very hard to prevent it from doing that. Do better Hulu. Hire some programmers who know what they're doing.
Must restart app after two episodes
The app freezes after two ep. Loads nonstop. Must close out and restart. I deleted and resigned in. Still happening
Expensive
Expensive for no reason… $90 for live TV and Disney+ (WITH ADS)!!!
DO NOT BUY the ads version
we got it thinking we'd save money. the ads are ridiculous. it seems like 5 minutes of streaming and two minutes of ads through every episode and it sucks. and to make things worse, its usually the same 3-5 ads too, just in a different order. and sometimes in the same order. to sum it up, hulu, i understand that not getting ads is a more premium experience. but the amount of ads you still give customers who pay is absolutely ridiculous.
LOUD Commercials —-Still
I have no complaints about the variety or quality of HULU programming. However, in spite of CA SB 576, signed into law and in effect, HULU blatantly disregards the requirement to air commercials at the same average volume as the program that they accompany. In my judgement, they do this by attenuating audio during a program, requiring the user to increase volume to “Level 50” for example. Then, during selected commercials, the attenuation is cancelled so the audio jumps to a scream, requiring the user to immediately decrease volume to the mid 20s. (Examples from my soundbar.) Very, very annoying. And against state law according to many sources I consulted.
Glitchiest streaming app I own
At least half the time I open the app, it just stays frozen on a blank screen. I have to close and reopen the app repeatedly to finally get it to load. If I watch a show, then close the show to watch something else, a spinning loading symbol appears indefinitely in the middle of the screen and the app freezes. I have to, yet again, completely close and reload the app. It also takes far too many steps and clicks to start watching something in full screen mode on mobile, whereas other streaming services make this an easy and seamless task.
Mixed thoughts
I do like the app and service and mostly have zero complaints… but. 1.) Why does your app and website all freeze up especially when I am on live tv I have to refresh the page or shut down the app too often. 2.) your recording options need updating; if I want to record a specific sports team, It records every showing including the reruns. I would like an option added to choose only new episodes. 3.) Ads/ commercials Why don’t they deactivate or something after watching them. I upgraded to the live TV package. And shows that I used to watch before my upgrade did not have ads or commercials. I am tempted to downgrade just to save money since I can’t skip them 4) once a month my subscription gets weird up for a week at a time. Why can’t I access my live tv subscription or my recordings or anything. It’s the third or last week month
How long will it take you?
I don’t understand the incompetence. Why is there no option to restart the movie at the selection screen. This isn’t blockbuster.
Impossible to rewatch shows
I don’t understand why when you rewatch a show, each episode does not start from the beginning. They all start 5 minutes from the end. If you’re watching the show with someone for the first time, it leads to spoiled endings. If you fall asleep to the show, it skips forward like 15 episodes before the TV shuts off. It’s so incredibly frustrating
Ads out of control

hulu has some shows and movies that i want to watch, but the ads are horrendous! the moment the episode ends, right after the intro, during the show and at the end. and it’s the same 3 ads every time! i understand this is the ad version, but it shouldn’t have even been a thing in the first place. currently only using it for naruto shippuden, otherwise would not be using
Worst customer service
I’d be embarrassed to work for a Disney company, not only do they protect child rapists, they also will not help you and make it impossible to connect to someone.
Too many commercials
Some good movies and series but get ready to have commercials every 5 minutes. Really annoying, that is way to many interruptions. I understand that Hulu has to make some money but come on every 5 minutes!?!
Worst streaming app ever
Literally makes you watch 1000 ads to watch one episode of a show and it is playing every single thing except this one episode of a show I want to watch it says it’s unavailable for no reason. Horrible set up of choosing what to watch as well

glad to know i’m not the only one annoyed with the suggestion shows box and the fact these ads are so long and if i accidentally click off the ad even if im 1 min in…. IT WILL RESTART IT AND NOW IVE WATCHED 3 mins of ads so annoying
Over $100 for an app that constantly crashes.
I pay over $100 for an app that constantly crashes. It’s absolutely insane. It genuinely feels like robbery. You would think for the prices that they charge that they would have an app that would at least function. Guess not.
