App nonfunctional with mini M4 Pro and Sequoia
Installed the app from the MacApp store. After entering my email address and password, nothing happened. I deleted user data in Preferences, relaunched, and tried again. Still nothing. What’s the point of providing the app in the App Store if it doesn’t work?
Great But Small Improvments Desired
Overall, I love the app. Great selection of jams and so many options to fit my mood. There are some suggestions I would like to see however. One, add a version for the Apple iWatch. I listen to music quite a bit when exercising. An iWatch app would be ideal. Two, add an option to ‘like’ or ‘dislike’ tracks on the Apple CarPlay app.
Make it free with Ads.
The other radio apps have ads to keep them free of charge, unless they want to listen ad-free. Include ads to make it free to listen to any radio station if their choice, but keep the premium subscription as optional.
Sad days
I’ve been a digitally imported listener & superfan since the late 90s. I’ve paid for the subscription on and off since then, but sometimes money is tight and you don’t buy a subscription that year. Sad to learn that after subscribing for the last three years, since I’m an old now and kinda have money, my subscription lapsed and I discovered they don’t offer a free login anymore. Subscription only. ¿New owners I guess? That makes me a sad panda. Still a great app. Still great music. Now locked behind a paywall.

Nice but
I used to listen to this app all the time but now they want a subscription all I wanna do is listen to music when I’m driving home that’s all that’s it. They don’t play it on normal radio stations.
Repeat
The only other basic feature this needs is a repeat option. Excellent music algo for my music taste.
Used to be good
Now there’s no free option, no ability to play or request a specific track, and the music that does get played is average at best, very few big name artists at all. Sry but for $8 a month it’s just not worth it.
Privacy Nightmare
Been a subscriber for 20+ years and love the music. Just reinstalled the app and WHOA, it’s like a privacy dystopia. They’re asking for your consent to share data with literally HUNDREDS and hundreds of marketing firms.

Haven’t been back on the app for a while. I noticed that when I log into my account, it says my free trial has ended and it won’t let me listen with ads.
Nearly Excellent
(Paid member many years) Pros: Music is mostly in the right category and the quality is very high track after track after track. Cons: Can’t rewind or replay favourites or make playlists etc.
UI is not great
I’m a Premium subscriber and while I love the radio, the UI is very bad. Hire a real designer to help you. Build it natively in Swift instead of this awful Flux or React that you are using. UX is incredibly awful.

Music is great. Price is good. For some unfathomable reason, the devs decided to throw in a forced feedback popup that locks out the app until you provide feedback. What a way to skew your feedback results.
Great app
DI.FM is a great app for electronic music. I have been using it on/off for around fifteen years - whenever I am in an electronic mood. My favorite channels are EDM Festival and Space Dreams. There are plenty of channels that let you know when a show is live. I took a brief look and saw seven live shows being aired on a Wednesday. It’s very easy to find some new music to listen to here. You can like a song and come back later to see what that song was titled in your history. It used to be free, but I always thought it was worth paying for. App is getting old, but it is still being updated and looks great.

CarPlay Again
The CarPlay app often fails to start and want the phone app to “authenticate” with iOS 26. So to use the app in my car I have to fumble with my phone all the time now.

Best Music App Dedicated to Electronic Music
If you are a fan of any electronic music genres, then this app is a must have. No more said. However, with the premium plan options costing £8.99 per month/ £89.99 per year (still a staggering £7.50 per month), this makes me feel less inclined to upgrade to their premium service. If it were cheaper by a noticeable margin, as other reviewers have stated that it was in the past, then I would immediately pay for it. There’s no denying that an unexpected ad-break can revoke your altered state of consciousness, bringing you back down to reality as we know it - filled with hate and injustice. If you find the right channels for you, specifically, on this app, your mind shall be set free from all pressures, and inner disbelief you may have, though, all this is impossible with even a short ad-break. Is their claim of doubling the audio quality upon upgrading to their premium service accurate? Maybe ambitious at best. Though I have never been a premium member, I am aware of the marketing techniques that these digital companies use to persuade their users into upgrading. An option to search for, save, replay and even download specific songs/mixes/albums that you already can listen to on every radio channel, would be an incredible feature; the ability for everyone to create and search for/add playlists by every user on the platform would also rock, as the diversity and depth in the selection of buried classic trance tracks, for instance, should be praised, and this seems consistent throughout the many other genres that they provide. Some tracks that I have enjoyed on this app, have been unavailable on Spotify, SoundCloud, and sometimes even YouTube, meaning that I would love to see some of the features, as described above, implemented onto this app, so that I can listen to my favourite tracks/mixes from directly from this app, whenever I want. If that ever happened, then I would drop 5 stars, and immediately subscribe to their premium service, regardless of the current pricing, as some of these features which I suggested, I would imagine being included within the premium subscription. 7/10.
Thanks for the ride
Di.fm used to be my go to for music, but slowly has moved to a subscription only model. I was happy with the old ad supported model, but they’ve gone in a different direction and so am I. Thanks for the tunes, but if your charging it’s too narrow of a field of music, I’ll go to a bigger service. It’s no longer for me. Bugs; Getting connection was often problematic, often having to either force close the app or trying multiple stations to ‘wake’ up the connection. Then it would seem to have to update and remember all the playlist since you were last playing jumping through different dj sets before getting to the current streamed music. It worked about 70% of the time. But would often take anything from 10 seconds to 5 mins to actually start playing. As a free service, it could be frustrating but acceptable, as a paid service not a chance.

I’ve rated this app 5 stars based on the fantastic choice of music genres it has on offer. But when it comes to the price being charged for a monthly subscription I’d drop that to 2 stars, way too much when I compare what I get for just a bit more on my go to music streaming app that rhymes with “Dotify”. If a weekly subscription was introduced (at a fair price of course…) then I’d consider becoming a subscriber. Having said what I have about the way too high monthly subscription I’d still say this app is an essential have for any true EDM fan…
Became really buggy in 2023
I am their premium subscriber, but I am canceling it, because after some point in 2023 application became unusable - it always hangs, stops playing, so you have to kill it and restart it. What a joke. Maybe that is related to outage platform had but that’s not an excuse, shame on the technological side because music is still great and it’s really bad that I’ll have to look for that same music isomewhere else

Been loving this app for over a decade now! But with the forced subscription and no other options for free listening with ads I’ll be deleting the app and no longer be listening from the web on my Mac or PC. Thank you guys so much for a great service! Hopefully things will change in the future. 🤝💯❤️🔥

Great app but every couple of days it will hard crash and I need to start it back up. Takes like 10 seconds to get going again. Most likely because I don’t change channels often and will pick up where I left off a couple hours ago.

Amazing app for fresh music
I have used this app since 2005. It’s always up to date with the current styles and changing genres in electronic music. It has live shows from djs all over the world and plays all types of obscure genres. If your a dj or love electronic music you will always have the best on this app as well as the old school classics mixed in. Whatever you’re looking for you will find it here if you look for it! I hope this app never goes away because it’s inspiring, creative and so fun if you love edm as a base genre you will even find new wave , French house and italo disco. I even know what old school eurodance is and the newer genres like Bounce and donk from the uk. So fun you will dance forever! :-)
Ruined by greed
Digitally Imported is dead to me. Subscription only where the whole thing used to be not only free but ad free as well. So much for that. App uninstalled. Hope the developers go bankrupt.

Recent rewrite of app is full of bugs
This new version 5.x is full of bugs. First the app keeps signing me out and I have to repeatedly sign in. Second when changing stations via Bluetooth headphones or car controls it defaults to All stations and not favourites even though favourites are selected (need to toggle away and back for it to recognize it). Changing stations is also very slow to pick up next stream. Sometimes it won’t even auto play. Finally swiping through past tracks does not snap to each one, it just endlessly scrolls and the song title refreshes when it feels like it. Oh also you can’t submit feedback from within the app unless you have iOS mail configured. If you use third party mail apps (like I do) it just complains when looking for mail. Can I have the old version back?
App doesn’t remember login status
Since the 5.0.1 update, the app doesn’t remember login status and a new login is required every day. All previous versions had persistent login status, which was good. This new behaviour is especially problematic when using Airplay because it requires taking the phone out of one’s pocket/purse to log in, which is unsafe while driving (the point of Airplay is to avoid that). Please bring back the previous login persistence! This also affects the platform’s other apps, like RadioTunes and RockRadio, which seem to be designed very similarly.

Love that there are no ads and I can change according to my mood for the day. Why go anywhere else! Keep up the good work DI!

£50 a year with a discount, way to expensive when you add that on top of your other streaming services who want your money also. Can’t see this business model working out when people start backing out now that it’s a payed service only. Shame really as it was a 5 star app other wise.

I keep getting the notification that DI.fm is pasting from my clipboard. This is unacceptable for a paid app that has no need for whatever might be in my clipboard. I’ve been a subscriber on and off for a decade and this has me thinking of canceling.
