Good app
I find it very helpful.
App is pure trash
Can’t update the seed that has been applied, because it always says no connection to Internet. Which isn’t the case. On top of that you could rarely get logged in because it wants you to immediately set up a new account and not bring you to the login screen. The developers of this app make it very clear that they don’t care about if it even works or not. Due to the difficult nature to even use the app I have canceled my Scott’s Long account.
Some bugs
Update: they fixed my problem. 4 stars because it still has some bugs This app was great to track water usage and lawn products… until I opened the app today and was logged out. Can’t log back in. App claims my account does not exist. I guess yall just nuked my account? Thanks for that.
Tasks are listed multiple times
I generally like the app and that it plans out my fertilizer schedule for the season. However, recently the app shows the same product needing to be applied on the same date multiple times. App appears to have a bug.
Notifications
Five stars on the suggestions and schedule of application. Zero star on the lack of notifications. Unless I remember to open the app every few days to see what I need to apply to my lawn, I will miss the application time window cause the app does not lacks a notifications feature.
Part time App
When the App works It has certainly showed me a lawn plan that I use. Other than that it’s hard to maneuver and slow doesn’t connect at all sometimes. I have tried to buy products from them several times and it just doesn’t work ! Was on it today just to submit I applied my February application and I couldn’t even do that. Very Frustrating, Mikes Turf
Water tracking not accurate
It says my zip code has received a record amount of rain for today, over 3 inches! Which, is not true, it has not rained in over a week. I was hoping to use this as a reminder to water, but with inaccurate rain totals for my zip code, this isn’t going to work as I was hoping.
Rain
I get alerts to water my lawn even though it’s been raining for two days. Otherwise I like the app.
Ok… but
It’s a decent app for a reminder of when to apply fertilizer and tracking water. Some of the issues I have is that if tripled my recommended activity and I can’t delete it. You have to skip the activity. So now instead of 1 application I have 4. Water tracking is iffy and sometimes it won’t add your watering data until the next day
Poor Interaction
The app is totally useless in attempting to let the company know about personal experiences. For example, after a recent purchase of Scott’s MAX Weed & Feed from Costco, I attempted to include the product in my lawn care plan. The app doesn’t allow for inclusion of that product & the AI tool used on the app to supply that information to Scott’s wants to help me find a product for use. A simple option to include the product in my program would resolve the issue but without the ability to communicate with a human being simply forfeits the opportunity for the proper use of the app.
Excellent and simple to use
I’ve used this app for one year and successfully got me to an amazingly green lawn. My evidence is multiple neighbors, stopping by asking me how my lawn got so green and thick. Thank you Scott’s!!
What Happened!
This app was my go to app every year for years and now all of a sudden products that we usually use are no longer in the selection, but I can go to local store and buy it …. Text Support is absolutely useless. Extremely frustrating when you used a product for years flawlessly and then all of a sudden it stops working.
Great
Really like the app for tracking rainfall in the area. Only giving 4 stars because it would be nice to be able to enter a custom rate for sprinkler as none of the presets match my system (0.28mm/min). Also the watering amount presets make it impossible to add any amount between them and the span is quite large. Ie. if I water 10mm the app only lets me record 6mm or 13mm. Other then that it is excellent. I don’t use the Scott’s recommended products but it still works good for manually adding / tracking products that you do use.
Review
It’s alright, mostly helps track but definitely some big deficiencies. When searching products you can’t find a lot of their products, especially the turf builder program, only what they assign to you even though it’s not what exactly is right for my yard. Also doesn’t let you change lawn size or even name of the lawn. Won’t save dates when trying to adjust the actual calendar to schedule applications. Wish they would fix this and it would be a great app. Until then….
No manual override for rainfall
I have my own weather station and the app was 0.5 inches short of the rainfall total. I appreciate the attempt to automate the rainfall, but there should be a way to make an adjustment to that, like an offset from the automated amount, including the date. The water I add should not be the way to offset the rainfall.
Great tool
This app gives you a pretty good idea of sq footage of your lawn and suggests what type of products to put on and when to do it. It also lets you know if and how much water needs to be applied. The app also gives you the right date to put its product on
Downhill & Inaccurate
App used to be great until last year (2025) started seeing VERY misleading rain tracker. For example two days ago (4) other platforms confirmed a huge storm we had at 2.37” of rain. This app says 0.1” and yes the location is confirmed. It was a fun run but has been downhill since starting 2025. I’ll be deleting this app.
I really want to use this app
Every year it’s the same thing. Fight the login screen. Reenter all the lawn information from previous years. Get a plan and then the app resets the data. I’m better off creating my own plan on my kid’s chalkboard.
more than one
i wish it could track two separate lawns in different cities.
K. Blue
First time using app, answer the questions follow the instructions didn’t look for specials on fertilizers just bought what the app told me to buy. My grass has never look as beautiful.
Literally fails to load. Just says error with no further details.
Sounds great. Can’t use it.
Scotts products not available
I tried to make schedule for this year by trying to add the scott’s fertilizer products but it doesn’t show all the products in the searches. It used to show them till last year. Could you please add all scotts products including their descriptions, fertilizer analysis, when to apply them etc. I think that information is why I installed this app last year. If the products are removed from the searches and if we are not able to add them to the schedule on this app, I don’t think there is a point to still have this app on my mobile.
Water Tracker
The Water Tracker portion of the app isn’t working. This is a helpful feature and would be excellent if it was working properly.
Green Dude
Love the app. Can’t go wrong on staying with the program that is set for you.
No longer works correctly with Apple sign in
When I try to use apple sign in that I set up years ago for this app, it wants me to sign into my actual Apple account. Not sharing my Apple ID and password with an app.
After update …
No longer can see the products that are scheduled. I can only see the dates of when to apply a blank product. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No Luck
Missing Scott’s products
The app does not have ability to add all products available. Recently I purchased Scotts® Turf Builder® Green MAX® fertilizer and I can’t update the activity calendar as the product is not found in the search.
Great App
This app is very helpful! Gives you a great schedule on when to lay grass seed. Highly recommend!
App ruined
Used to be this app was helpful. As it is now, won’t even let me sign in or start new account without typing in my AppleID password. No thank you. Signing in via Apple password is supposed to be seamless, in the background and encrypted, not ‘type it in for the masses’.
Recommend wrong lawn products
I have Bermuda grass which I specified in the app but it still recommends product for St Augustine grass
Missing products
App is useful to know when you should be doing something to your lawn but it is missing products. For example I have an issue with grubs but I can’t add the grub-b-gon product to my schedule There are other missing products as well. I do recommend the app for the scheduling and reminders. But I don’t recommend Scott’s lawn seed or weed inhibitors. Side by side comparison of other vendors products and Scott’s lost hands down
Best Lawn on the Street!
Thanks Scotts!
Used to work
Signing in this year, it shows 4 separate applications of each treatment. I verified that I only show one lawn in my profile. Deleting…
Updates are full of bugs
Sorry, but each time you update the app, it’s just filled with more bugs, almost like it doesn’t get tested at all before release. Currently, you can’t save changes to any entry without error (same as last release, but was hoping the update would fix that). Now there is an error with marking a watering task as done; it won’t do it. It’s also not showing this week’s watering on the scale, so even though I did mark as done before, now missing. I have to enter a lot of manual water items since the rain level is often not correct to my area. Would be a great app if not for all the bugs. Maybe stop working on more options & instead clean up what you do have so it functions correctly.
Not consistent
This app and what comes to my mail and what the website shows for same lawn do not one up. It does not handle scheduling for over-seed. It is ok but does not give me confidence.
No longer useful.
This app used to be great for creating plans and tracking application of products. But the app no longer creates an annual plan and most of Scott’s products no longer are visible in the app. Making the app no longer useful.
Wait what??
Went to open app after year or more of use and was required to reset my password?!?!! Requirements of new password way overkill. Don’t appreciate this type of oversight and intrusion. Deleted the app.
What happened?!
I’ve used this app for many years and has been very helpful. Now with this update it is broken! Crabgrass preventer product? Not listed! Could go on but you get the point. They broke what used to be a very useful app by adding a lot of other features while breaking what I used the app for in the first place!
Apps
They took away the dates that your application is applied
