This app is great, my one wish is that it allow users to comment on or corroborate reports made by other users

Constantly glitches making the app unusable
Quick service multiple times
Some things take awhile from the city, but other things have gone very smoothly. The issue I just submitted - my Christmas tree not being picked up by recycling - was resolved within an hour. Impressive! Sure, some things requested take awhile, but multiple requests I’ve put in have been handled in what I feel is a timely manner. Thanks to the 311 crew for doing what they can to keep improving the city.
Ineffective
This app is super helpful and easy to use… in theory. The issue is that it seems to not be attended to; every case I have opened has ended up closed without an actual resolution.
Well boys

Great app with great service
I’m so thankful Boston has this service, and that they make it so user-friendly. I received a courteous call explaining when and why my case was closed.
Reports opened for months
I have reports that are opened for months. City doesn’t even do anything. Horrible app
Good enough
I've mostly submitted traffic signal related issues and they've normally been resolved quickly. One that required follow-up was delayed by intersection construction finger-pointing, but was finally resolved.
Old app was much faster
Each page now loads super slow. Map works sometimes but not other times. New version was a step back in performance.
Good, but need more features
Very user friendly, but would like the ability to delete a report I created (if submitted by accident) as well as a way to report speeding (especially if BPS Safe Routes to School is encouraging use of this app).
311 enhances Boston’s quality of life
This old Bostonian is delighted with the convenience of the 311 app. I’m grateful to the folks in the Menino and Walsh administrations who centralized the reporting process and then automated it! And I’m confident that the Wu administration will continue to improve it. As others have noted, the app’s ultimate effectiveness depends on the responsiveness of the various departments. Issues are usually addressed promptly. When they aren’t, I follow up with another 311 report.
City of Boston
I hoped this app would’ve helped but it caused more frustration. It’s either the app doesn’t do its job or “someone” not doing their job. It’s likely the latter. I’m complaining about an app that the city created to hold people accountable but don’t hold themselves accountable. Welcome to Boston!
Old app was better
It wasn’t pretty, but it worked. This one is bloated with crap that could be on a static website and now I have to dig through a bunch of menus just to submit a report for cars parked illegally that won’t be addressed for days.
Bos 311 app and voiceover
Hello, I realize that as a voiceover user which is an accessibility feature for iOS: I would like to see that in the, “recent reports“ tab that all of the reports that were submitted are made accessible. When I go to click on one of the submitted reports, voiceover is not reading it right away.
311 Makes our City Better!
Downloaded the app after seeing a needle in a park. Easy to navigate report options and call in. Within an hour a 311 agent was there and informed me they got the needle Very proud that the city has this service
Great App, but Worthless!!
The app functions flawlessly. The city of Boston doesn’t function at all. What’s the point of having an app if reports go unanswered for months? Currently I have two open reports, same vehicle, three weeks apart. I’m thinking that uninstalling the app will be just as effective as reporting issues through the app itself.
No bikes?
App is slow to load. There is no way to report or request any cyclists/ bike lane/ bike infrastructure issue through the app. It’s like cyclists have been excluded. How do you report blocked bike lanes, bike rack requests, bike lane safety improvements, etc to the city of Boston? There seem to be a lot of categories missing from this app that you would think should be there.

I used this app—and to 311—fifteen months ago with no response regarding an extremely dangerous stretch of sidewalk. Absolute waste of time, but I sure will sue when I break my 83 yeR old ankle.
Needs bug fixes
This app used to be great but the recent bugs have made it virtually unusable. When viewing a report it will open multiple times and clicking on a pin on the map opens a banner that can never be closed obscuring what is behind it.
Great App
The App itself works well and is easy to use and I have not run into any software malfunctions. A lot of people use this App to report absolute nonsense and it is absolutely hilarious especially when BTD or etc responds there was no violation or a vehicle is in compliance. I think the App is great for reporting potholes and needle clean ups.
Not working since 2023
For many years, the app worked really well. But as others have mentioned, since about 2023, either the 311 app stopped working, or the staff just stopped responding. Not sure which; but something’s not working!
Impossible to Start New Report
Why is it all of a sudden impossible to create a new report? It's been like this for months now.

Boston Public Works gets right to the requests, I had mine turned around in 24 hours which I was very happy with! This is a great app and the city does a great job!

Very useful and interesting app.
Great for reporting pot holes, needles, graffiti. Unfortunately, passive aggressive neighbors seem to take great joy in dropping the dime over the slightest infractions. This results in a waste of time, but entertainment for voyeurs like myself. Some people need to worry less about what everyone else is doing and more on themselves.
Doesn’t recognize area
Of north Brookline. Says out of area so I cannot even submit a report as they request. App is broken
Impressive responsiveness
Every time I report something I get a quick response and most things are fixed quickly. Thanks Boston!
useless app
the app is is useless. u can’t use it to report actual crimes cause you have to go in person to a station. all it’s used for is karen’s that wanna get someone’s car towed or racists.
