The subscription is not worth it
1. More expensive than buying a new book every year. 2. These are free documents off FAA website. Wrapping them up with an annual subscription is an interesting business model.
Bookmarks
Needs to be larger for better viewing
Robbery
Overall the app is decent but their business model is more akin to robbery. I paid for the app but then suddenly once my ‘subscription’ expires I can no longer access what I’ve already paid for. The fact that that they’re now charging $25 per year to access public data is unconscionable.
APP crashes when highlighting text
I’ve use this app for several years. Recently, when I highlight text, the app crashes. When I reopen the app the text is not highlighted however if I select the text and past the text that I highlighted is blocked out. Also, the bookmarking and organizing of selections is clumsy to say the least.
Quick Reference
This is amazing. Quick reference. Just a few clicks and I have the FAA wording right at my fingertips.
For Pilots studying
Do not wast your money on these apps, I have purchased 3 and all their search functions are useless, the rudimentary search features will only provide exact matches at best and 9/10 times will not give you a revenant result. I have found it cheaper and better to download the AIM in PDF form from faa.gov and download the FAR in PDF form from govinfo.gov (you have to download all 5 volumes of Title 14 separately). Then upload them to a PDF viewer app such as goodnotes or Adobe (I like gooodnotes). The PDF viewer provides a much better search function and even ai assisted searches. I also keep my checklists and POH in goodnotes, you can use the apple pencil to check off items as you go. Hope this helps others pass their check rides.
Baseline functionality
This app provides the complete FAR/AIM if that is what you are looking for. What is missing is a good contextual search and something to show what has changed with each update.
Changed their model
I have used this app for years. Like another review said, the price was reasonable, and then it’s been increasing unreasonably fast. When it was reasonably priced, I would renew it, then it went up, I renew every other year. Now it’s gone up even more, but I can even use the old data that I paid for. It’s like buying a book, you put it on the shelf and if you don’t pay a fee, they take the book away from you. Give me my book back, lower the rates and you get some happier campers. 2 stars because the app is really good. They even incorporated one of my suggestions years ago about tabbing the sections and sub-sections. For now, I guess I use eCFR for free, but I do miss the app.
Good but aim doesnt have pictures
Why wouldn't you put pictures for the aim?
Quick Help
When the app downloaded it only had the 2020 version on it. Being dense, and not digging into the app enough to see there was updates pending for the current 2024 version, I emailed support. They VERY QUICKLY got back to me and explained how to update and that they keep the app current. Excellent customer service, even for dumba***s like me.
Poorly supported
It’s an ok app, but poorly supported. Their currency with changes in the CFRs seems to be good, but the programming of the app left something to be desired. The app’s management of bookmarks was inconsistent and refused to allow me to arrange them. The app had recently started to crash when accessing certain regulations. I tried to contact the developer regarding the issue, and only got one response and no changes were implemented. Not worth the subscription fee.
Highlighter
Hey fools, give us the ability to delete a Highlight. Do it on the next update or bye-bye

They keep sending me billing for yearly subscription and they got it already… twice.
App is great but my data and how it’s been used and tracked is the issue for me
I was never told upfront or given an option to opt out of anything concerning my data usage or purchases, etc when I downloaded this years ago and although the other major publisher of the FARs that also has study guides and everything as well is cheaper, this app is a lot better and I would prefer to use this app over any other when it comes to the regulations and being current and up to date. But my biggest drawback is they are the only ones who collect, track, share your data that could be linked back to you. The other app doesn’t track anything. Call it what you will, for me, I have enough things keeping track of my data and sharing it these days and if I can have one less to worry about I’m all for it.
First-class Support
2-year subscriber and can’t say enough about the customer service. The response time to questions is within minutes of hitting send and it is a personalized respond not a generic “we received your message and will get back to you as soon as possible”. Awesome app…highlights and tabs never have to be updated like the hard copy versions.

I paied 9.99 to get the app on July 30th. 11 days later they are asking me to subscribe for another $24.99.
Be nice to have markers like tabs
Overall the search works well and its not terrible to locate information partially because I have always had a tabbed out hard copy version handy. Distractor is unable to read content even without subscription glad I have my hard copy does not require batteries or need a subscription. Sadly its always good to have an updated copy just in case. Probably not renewing after this subscription. Not my job to explain business models or UI/UX and such. Just make it affordable.
Updates
I just downloaded this apps in hopes to use it for my upcoming check ride, and it says on the app that the version of the FAR is January 8th 2025, and today is February 24, 2026. I doesn’t update thus I can’t use it for my check ride. Very disappointed

This is well worth the price and the ease of using the program is fantastic. I fly commercial often. When asked about an aviation subject I have it all on my iPad and don’t even need internet. I seem to always find what I am looking for. And I am 100% confident I have the most current guidance…..
Poor Customer Service & Billing Practices
I didn’t renew my subscription after continuous price increases. The company ended up charging my credit card TWICE within days after not renewing. Worse yet, the email link to contact customer service comes back as undeliverable. I ended up having to file a claim on my credit card to get the charges removed.
Wonderful App
As an aviation professional, I’ve been using this app to perform my daily due diligence while working in an airline OCC. This app is updated frequently by the developers. I, highly recommend this app to aviation professionals. John

Good functionality content is a miss
The app functions well. Highlights, shareable snippets of information work great. Devs are responsive and will ensure information is up to date. I trust this service to provide me with up to date regs. Good app, good service with a fair price.
Expensive Yearly subscription
This app is ALRIGHT, I rate it 6/10, but what ridiculous is the yearly $25 subscription.

It’s really a paid app
I looks like you can use it for free and pay for some premium features. In reality, you cannot read any of the FAR without a paid subscription. I can go to the website for that.

Bad for students - poor organization
Pretty poor app structure. App is great, but a lot of issues. App will crash if you highlight over a highlight cell, AND adding a note feature. Also we all know how many regs we have to know as pilots, so I was excited to transition over from “tabbing” my saved regulations, to creating bookmarks, but the bookmarking feature is absolutely horrible. Sounds like it’s a great app once you’re in the airlines and don’t need to stay drilled into the regs, but poor if you’re going for a check ride or teaching your students something. The app support is there, like we can message them “whenever we need” but I haven’t received any beneficial help yet. I subscribed for one year but I probably won’t continue unless this bookmarking & highlighting bugs are fixed.
Great app
This is a great app with great customer service, you have several ways to reach out to support, phone, email, live chat. The book will be updated every year. Easy to find regulations and information in the search bar with several results to select from. It also has a glossary with lots of terminology and acronyms with their meaning for a better understanding. It is very convenient, I have it on my phone and in my tablet.

CFII review
Due to the fact that the literature in this app does not completely match the hard copy FAR/AIM we are all familiar with, leads me to the conclusion that this material is inaccurate and can not be reliable. I have been unable to find information pertaining to regulations specific to rotorcraft.

$20 yearly subscription fee too much
The app is fine, but all it does is downloading free content and reformatting it. Fine, but $20 subscription fee is too much.
Very Useful
I use this app daily in my job at a major airline. It's very useful and I especially like the speed it's updated with new information.
Locked out after a few days
I just bought this and then a few days later it locks out and pops up asking for a subscription. Can’t use it at all. Waste of money and time.
App functionality good, customer support non-existent
Downloaded the app under the free trial. My main like was the ability to save highlights and bookmarks across devices. Attempted to do so across my iOS devices but was unable to do so. Contacted customers support through the in app chat feature. Told them the problem and was given a link to an article to resolve issue. Followed directions but was still unable to correct the syncing problem. Reached back out to support but was unable to get a hold of anyone. Called left a message at their number listed on website. Still was unable to get a call back after almost a week. Up to this day have not received any support to resolve problem. If you are able to get app to work as designed great! If not I would not waste your time with customer support.
