What people like
- Great local news for Western PA
- Excellent sports columnists and coverage
- Convenient way to stay updated daily
What they complain about

- Pop-ups interrupt reading experience
- Ads make pages hard to read
Great Experience!
Love the new additions and all of the work you are doing to meet me where I am in digitally and in print - keep up the great work!
App Blows Off
I can’t access the stories. If I click or touch an item, it immediately reverts to the App symbol.
It’s okay
I like the app but it’s been kinda different lately… maybe glitching a bit.
Opinion page is buggy
Every time I tap to enter the Opinion page the entire app shuts down. This has been happening to me for a long time. You need to fix.
It would be nice if it did t crash when I try to use it.
Crashes constantly
Trib
I always thought it was a great paper. Thanks n’at.
Worst News App
App is the buggiest app on my iPhone. Can never open the Local News section and others because app keeps shutting down. Happens every day. A joke.
Tiresome Sports writers
Can you please ditch Tim Benz and Mark Madden already? Both are narcissists and offer nothing but their opinions, that’s all they have since they’ve alienated all players, coaching staff and ownership of all the major teams. Find a writer who hasn’t burned all their bridges and can get some great interviews, these two are a tiresome pair.
App Crashes
Since the last update, the app constantly crashes on my iPad. Please fix!
Problem
I click on an article but it does not format, it disappears in a second!
Giles Guisbert
I am old school. One of my retirement rituals is going out early to my driveway and pick up the Trib wrapped in plastic. While there I wave to my neighbors while they rushed off to work… I feel their envy. Now that the paper will not be there Sunday or Monday or when I am traveling I am glad TribLive is there as close as my phone.
App sucks
The app constantly crashes when you try to select an article to read.
Nice to get burg news
We don’t live in western PA any more but like to keep up with what’s going on back home. Like the app except for the constant barrage of pop ups.
Ughhhh
I love to read the Trib, but the functionality of this app is "meh" right now. Scroll thru almost any section and after seeing 3-4 articles, the screen just goes plain white. No words, links, etc. please help!
Not as much of a left wing propaganda outlet as most….
but still with a bias to look past the consistent failures of Biden, which are actually what is degrading the country currently, and focus on the smoke and mirrors political attacks that the left constantly levies against Trump. As with most news outlets, needs to wake up and actually report the consequences of the current POTUS and his administration before we slide into third world country status.
1 and ONLY
Soon to be Pittsburghs only newspaper!!
Ads crash the app
The app will start without issue. Once you click on a story and an ad loads the app crashes. This app is unusable.
Trib review
Web page difficult to read / navigate, advertising constantly in the way, I know pays bills. Articles are clipped. Difficult to read.
Reliable coverage
With the Post-Gazette soon to close, we are fortunate to have the Trib and its reliable sports and news coverage to maintain professional awareness of our area!
Bugs need fixed
I used to enjoy reading stories but now if I go into any tab besides the top stories it will automatically kick me out of the app and close it. Please fix. July 2026 still not fixed
Scrolling issues
Had to give a little rating. Every time you scroll Through new stories, your screen automatically scrolls back to the top and resets. Very frustrating when you’re trying to scroll through new stories. Has been going on for at least a year. developers should update/fix this.
Great newspaper
TribLive is a great source of Ed ina convenient format. Read it every day.
Political Bias
Overall political bias is so prevalent- skewing presentation of the news. Sad to see this happen at The Trib.
Valuable information
I enjoy reading this. Very informative
Tech issues!
The app continually backs me out in beginning or middle of articles. It’s been going on for months
Good stuff
I enjoy your publication
Unstable - often crashes
I check in on the happenings in and around Pittsburgh on a daily basis and use TribLIVE. Not sure if it’s because of an App update (or that it needs one), but it is unstable and often crashes in iOS.
I love this app
It’s definitely nice to have when you just need to know.
Crashing
App crashes daily on my iPhone.
Trib Live
Keeps Western PA updated in a concise manner plus fantastic sports columnists.
CONSTANT CRASHES
I used to enjoy this ap but for the past 3-4 months it crashes immediately. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled over and over again but nothing seems to help. Yes, I’ve also powered down and rebooted my iPad and that doesn’t work either. It’s definitely so related. No other ap does this on my iPad.
