Best option downs the mean good
This is probably the best app to use for finding jobs, but the functionality of the app itself leaves a lot to be desired. When you go to search you click the search on my version it doesn’t work. I can’t look up jobs and when you tell the app I don’t want this job anymore. They just keep shoving it in your face cause they’re paid to do so.

Filters
It would be nice if job suggestions that got sent to me would have the filter of accepting past incarceration as an option because I’m getting all kinds of job suggestions but none accept felons so I can’t do anything with them.

All I can tell you for sure is every number that calls me is a spam number that is not able to be looked up through AI or Google

Indeed needs to hold employers and recruiters to a much higher standard. If an employer posts a job and actively solicits applications, candidates should not be left completely ignored afterward. Applicants spend time tailoring resumes, answering screening questions, and submitting information because they reasonably believe the position is actually being recruited for. Indeed should do more to discourage employers from posting positions that are inactive, already filled, or effectively abandoned. At minimum, candidates deserve acknowledgment that their application was received and, ideally, a basic status update. Job seekers are people, not database entries. If employers are allowed to use Indeed to recruit, there should be a greater expectation that they communicate with the candidates who apply.

Love the mock interview practice
I’ve been using this app since 4 years now. I used the mock interview to prepare for a job interview and it really helped me feel more prepared. The feedback was really helpful! I would love to be able to choose different area I can practice.
Unsurprisingly Prejudice
If you want a single entity to judge you based on an AI’s opinion of you, it’s your type of app. These people profit from your unemployment and actually tell employers they’ve got “systems” built in to find them a “suitable candidate” based on unverified information on a resume. They won’t admit it, but they’ve got “rating systems” and categories for everyone. You know that last piece of information they say is for the gov? That’s also for them and it’s used to place you within the “suitability” ladder. Your race and gender matter more now than ever and it’s being used to label you. Also, these ridiculous employers who use these apps actually get beyond a “feedback” button when it relates to “rating” you. You make Indeed the cash, you are the asset the employers need but you’re not given all the tools the employers get. More-so, your “feedback” if negative is hidden depending on the employer. These are nerds with a dataset they call a “profile” but with no actual real-world knowledge about the people using their app. Now, AI is going all out telling employers you’re not suited or are a fit for their companies when it has zero experience outside of its servers. My advice, go old school and present yourself. Avoid getting your privacy violated, data resold and judged by a program. It’s ridiculous just how dumb people are to trust in anything or believe something if it’s repeated enough on screens.
Freezes and filters don’t work
I have used and found jobs successfully with Indeed in the past. The app is now disappointing, freezes when I’m trying to read the job ad, filters are rubbish, search criteria not saved. If no relevant jobs are listed why not just say so instead of filling my inbox with dozens of irrelevant roles. I have deleted the useless daily email alerts and do a manual search once a day, which actually does show me any relevant roles in my locality.

Removed helpful filtering info
They recently removed the ability to see how old a job post is, making it harder to ensure you’re spending your time wisely on the platform. This is a really silly UX decision and makes the app unusable for me.

The app works great,except
This app works great, but after filling out 20 applications, no one would even call me back because I’m the only white Guy in this Hispanic town and apparently they don’t like working with white people because we don’t speak their language! I guess this isn’t the USA anymore!

terrible
i apply for a job and then i get no response back ever. i’ve applied to a countless amount of jobs and i never get anything back. the location thing also sucks. i say i don’t want to work somewhere in this town and then it just suggests more.😭
Resume Options
One should be able to upload multiple resumes and choose from the list accordingly while applying.
Algo ignores preferences
I only see jobs based on the last job i applied to (out of necessity because they match my old career/degree, and not even my current job). This happens even if i have excluded those job titles or that industry for the last several months from my preferences. It makes it hard to find work in a new industry or career path. I’ll stick to idealist where i can at least filter for the jobs I want to see and they listen. Indeed is truly frustrating in this regard and no amount of settings adjustments has changed this for me.
Algorithm
I wish the algorithm wouldn’t put you in a pacific category and pull up the same jobs. I like a variety and something new and I wanna be able to see each and every job available or not everything based off my previous work experience and stuff I have clicked on previous it just keeps putting me in the algorithm based off of my old searches and I do not like that. Thank you.

Unable to scroll through Job description
After selecting a job to read the description, I’m unable to scroll to read all the information. After backing out of the application and closing the app and trying again, I get the same result.

Not the same anymore
Most of the jobs require Spanish RIP English The employers post jobs, but view up to 30/ percent meaning your application has less chance to be reviewed plus it takes them weeks to reply It’s horrible and sad at the same time

There is a great selection of job opportunities available. But I won’t be wasting my time no more. Spend your time answering the questions from the employers what you don’t get selected for with no feedback or they don’t bother answering you back leaving you in limbo. Don’t take my word for it try it out
Skills not being saved on job applications
When you click on a job it comes up with skills but when you try to select you don’t have this skill it says this preference can not be saved try again later please fix this issue.

I’ve been using Indeed for years, and worked for a fraudulent employer who uses a profile with no reviews instead of their 1.6 star profile, and Indeed has been incompetent as resolving their mistake for allowing this to happen. It’s been open and closed 3 times without a resolution.

The app is rated 4+ and I’m 17 and I got banned, good for finding jobs tho. Applied for 15 and got rejected 15 times.
