Gr8 Spam Blker
First day I had this it blocked 144 robo calls. This app is amazing!
Not working
I’ve been getting at least two or three spam calls a day. YouMail has failed to block a single one so far.
Spam Calls Continue
I initially signed up for paid services to help ease spam calls. 3 months later and the spam calls are just as bad. I wish there were an option through YM to stop the incoming call before the phone rings. Maybe YM works better for businesses but I believe the best option is to block all unknown callers in phone settings.
Good app, was better, pro version is expensive, won’t renew unless they fix things
I’ve been using YouMail for a number of years now, and I use the professional version first tier, and for the most part it’s pretty good. I was able to obtain a local number for the forwarding number, and so I can use my Youmail account for my landline as well, and I don’t incur long distance charges. However as it is based out of the US, unless one has unlimited US calling, every time one’s phone forwards to voicemail one will incur a long distance charge, and if one calls in using the access number to listen to one’s voicemail, one will incur a long distance charge. I don’t think they will offer a local access number for one’s calling area for the free version. I am not a fan of the new layout of the app. It is confusing. Now there are two main tabs, Voicemails and Calls. Why? Isn’t every entry in the app a “call”? not liking the app much now, besides, as a blind user, I use Voiceover, and now I cannot click on a “Call” or “voicemail”, and listen to it on the app. it will not play it at all. I can move or delete or block, but listen? Not working! Super annoying, please fix this! I need to call in using the Voicemail Access Number to listen to the voicemail.
5 stars
Used for years. love it.
Glitchy and Crashes
The app used to be awesome, but on older iPhone models it is glitchy and crashes constantly. It is virtually unusable for me. And I don’t think I should upgrade my phone to use this one app.
Doesn’t actually stop spam calls
I’m still getting just as many spam calls. The only way it will stop them is if you set it to block calls that aren’t in your contacts. You can do that through the iPhone settings, you don’t need the app for that. The only thing useful to me is the feature that removes you from data broker websites.
Not 100% Effective
Every now and then calls are going to my factory voicemail. I have made any changes for it to not work properly. I’m too the point of removing this app.
Wally
Always a pleasure
Doesn’t block spam calls
I thought this app blocked spam calls coming into my iPhone but I was mistaken spam call still come through I’m kind of curious as to why my iPhone knows that it’s a spam call but this app does not recognize that it’s a spam call like it’s supposed to very confused may look into another app to see if it’s any better at doing the job it’s supposed to.
My YouMail is Spam!
I loved YouMail for years. Originally, it greeted callers by their names, which was amazing. That function rarely works properly now. Even so, I still would have recommended this voice mail service. The reason I can’t recommend this app anymore is the spam. When looking at my list of voicemails, there are ads that remind me of the old virus click-bait scams. Why does a banner in my voice mails tell me my phone needs updating, and to tap here to fix it? Or that my phone may have a virus, or need to download software to speed it up, etc. I no longer trust this app. After resubscribing for a bit, I’ve once again deleted the app, although there are still months left on my annual plan. It’s missing too many important calls, because it requires me to log in every week or so, update my password, or click through to say I’m sure I don”t want to pay for yet another higher tier of subscription to get the REAL protection. This went from an innovative product to a scammy one, and I can’t in good conscience contribute more money to them.
Call screening
It would be great if they would add a feature to hear the screening of a person that has been blocked. What if it’s a legit call and they are startled by the vm and chokes, then boom they are blocked. I would like to hear the screening part.
Best App
I’ve been using this for years, I just love it
Scammer
I signed up for the free trial and they charged me for a year
Garbage
Worst customer service on Earth absolute clueless morons. Disgraceful a Tech company can be so stupid
Works
Does the job. Three stars due to the known spammers database not updating and forcing you to uninstall and reinstall the app. Shouldn’t happen. Will not renew due to this.
Good Service
Happy to have this service, it really works!
Hard to stop services
A lot of my calls that I needed were getting blocked and so I deleted the app, but they kept blocking my calls. I deleted my account account, but apparently missed a step and so I now have to figure out how to delete it. In the end, it was a very annoying app.
Used to work
I had this for years and it worked pretty well. Now the voicemails are not going through, even from my contacts. They say the phone keeps ringing and there is no way to leave a message. No clue what other messages I’m missing. Happens every few days and I need to keep reinstalling app. May uninstall soon.
Love it just costs too much
Love that u can give callers their own vm
Mrs
Great
Scam
I signed up for the 7 day free trial. I cancelled the next day. They confirmed via email that the cancellation went through and I wouldn’t be charged. I was charged nearly $80 and had to dispute the charge through my credit card company.
Clumsy; does not integrate seamlessly with iPhone
I find the App clumsy. It is not intuitive to use and not totally seamless; perhaps there are still some bugs to be worked out.
Pretty Good so far
My only complaint is the transcription only seems to do the first few seconds on the voicemail. I have to listen to them anyways to get to the actual info
Awesome!!
YouMail is an outstanding service and one of the best apps I’ve used. Friends and callers frequently comment on my personalized greetings, and everyone seems to love them! The spam-blocking features work exceptionally well. My phone now filters out most unwanted and scam calls, which has drastically reduced the number of fake calls I receive. Thank you, YouMail team, for providing such a reliable and effective service!
Bad , sorry
This app is no different than other spam blocking apps. On the free tier they block nothing , but they always try to upsell you .
Good concept and annoying implementation
I like the concept and once you pay, one would imagine that it works great. Which it does, if your idea of it is paying a pretty penny and only receiving some basic-ish functionality - given what ALL it claims to do. Annoyingly, once you pull out whatever hair you might have remaining on your head (just to get it to work as a voicemail replacement thing). You realize that it likes to break down more than most marriages these days. Eventually, you learn to live with it and forget the fact you are paying, a bit unreasonable amount vs carrier vm, for not a lot of value add. Like an abusive... Well, not going into that.. You get the idea.
Why the number I already set blocked the calls still go through?
I set a scammer number to block on YouMail app but I still got many phone calls rang from the same number. I think 🤔 you guys need to fix 🔧 this 🐛. Doesn't your app it design 🎨 for blocking the scammers.
Worth the money
I’m pretty sure that if you are reading this review, you are getting hit with spam calls from everywhere. I was getting between 40 and 50 calls a day. I saw someone mention this app and I downloaded it. It does an amazing job of stopping spam calls in their tracks. When the call comes through, it has to go through screening. If it doesn’t pass the screening test, it’s blocked. I went from almost 50 spam calls a day to now only having about four or five that try and call and those calls are always blocked. Actual business calls for myself can come through with no problems instead of me ignoring them because I think they’re spam. It’s honestly worth every cent that I have paid.
Sneaky deceptive
When I signed up, was told I would receive notification when trial period was up to prevent billing. Didn’t hear anything and was charged!
Not enough call forwarding numbers
YouMail is basically the only option for a voicemail system with an alternate phone line and call forwarding. However, it only allows 8 call forwarding options (and you can’t use the number 8 I can’t remember the weird reason why). And it can’t differentiate between phone numbers, the only way it can is if someone is in your personal contacts. So anyone who isn’t in your contacts who calls tone personal number (doctor, dentist, friend with new number etc) will automatically be sent to your second line.
Good app but some minor annoyances
Overall it’s a handy app. It seems to have issues remembering settings though - one example is that it can never remember to play messages through the hand set... it always reverts back to playing through the speaker which is annoying.
The best

Impressive app
Read about this app and service in a computer mag. Had to try it. Got the free version, and I'm really impressed. Does exactly what it says. All unanswered calls turn up in email. I got to keep my wireless phone number and record my own greeting. The supplied ones didn't sound good for me. Just what I need, trying to juggle a land line and iPhone. Thanks!
IT WORKS 100%
THANKS 😊 FOR BEING A WONDERFUL APP! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Okay but why is it sending me emails?
My mom went through my emails last year to see YouMail on my list of emails so do age verification because younger kids should not have this at all
