WeatherPro reviews
4.5 out of 5, based on 494,079 reviews.
What people like
- Daily precipitation amounts are clearly shown
- Vertical scrolling feels more intuitive to use
- Longtime users find it very reliable
What they complain about
- Radar maps are broken or grey
- Support pages and links do not work
- Users get charged twice for subscriptions
- Forecast accuracy has gotten worse recently
Works well
Accurate
No map
A month on from my previous review, there’s still just a blue dot for Swindon and a dark grey background, and I still can’t zoom in or out. There’s a few luminous green blobs tonight (presumably rain?) but I can only see a tiny area around the blue spot of Swindon. Very poor show.
Merci.
Weather Pro
WEATHER PRO
It is amazing how WEATHER PRO is so accurate at forecasting OUR LOCAL DAILY WEATHER and WEEKLY FORECASTING. I’m very impressed Thank You Mike Elliott
Renew
I have been charged twice. I upgraded and when I launched the app it charged me again. Once to Apple and once to Apple.com. The app support link doesn’t work.
Bislang immer gut
Back to Four Stars rating.
Kartenvorschau bleibt grau, Abo?
Mr
Excellent App
Changes following new versions
Why do we have to accept changes without choice on an upgrade. I used to like the maps showing clouds and rainfall. Now we have radar which is not as meaningful to the older generation. Is it not possible to offer a choice for us older generation?
Die App wird immer schlechter!
Was ist da los?
Reliable
I have several weather apps and this is the one I find most reliable.
What happened?
I used to love this app and based on that memory I subscribed on 14th July. Unfortunately I now realise that it is much worse. The temperatures are always between 2 and 3° lower than the actual temperature and the temperature provided by other Weather apps. Also there is no information about UV provided which is essential to me. When I go into my Apple account to make sure that it doesn't resubscribe next year WeatherPro is not listed so I can't even cancel it.
Great ❤️
Super 👍
Also geht wahrscheinlich weiter bergab von hier an.
Weather Pro
Used this for years it’s very reliable and accurate tell you what you need to know at a glance Great app
Weather forecast now poor !!
I used to love this app and was more than prepared to subscribe. It states in its own tag line The weather authority…. I have more luck looking out of the window than using this app. It’s sister app Rain today is just as bad. I’ve had it that I am being rained on and the app telling me no rain in the next hour. I am going back to using my eyes and my index finger in the air.
Valeurs max trop hautes
Radar
nicht alles Neue ist besser
Spot on
Love this app it’s reliably accurate
WeatherPro used to be great, now worse than useless.
I previously gave WeatherPro a worthy five stars and have paid for premium for well over a decade, when it was under the Meteo umbrella. It’s now worse than useless, and certainly no longer worth the premium subscription. It should also be noted that the app isn’t universal, so if you want to use it on an iPad as well as an iPhone you have to download a separate app and pay for premium twice. It’s also cheaper to subscribe quarterly than pay annually in advance !
Get it fixed!!!
Agree with Beadnellboy’s review. Over a month now since they admitted there’s an issue with precipitation not showing in the 2 day cloud and precipitation map forecast. Every time I re-report it I get asked the same questions before they admit again it’s a fault at their end. I’d just renewed my premium subscription too. Been a premium user for many years. This has been going on so long now I don’t think anyone is working on a fix for this issue. This was always my favourite weather app. The one I always used and trusted. Not any more.
Weather on holiday
We use this app everyday and find it reliable and a great guide except it always underestimates the off shore wind strength in the afternoons
Scam?
Still accepting subscription fees and then stop providing paid for features also supposedly the app is being “retired” so why still charging for pro features
Disappointed, long-term subscriber
I have been a WeatherPro subscriber for many years and, unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the app in its current form. WeatherPro was once one of the best weather applications available on iOS. The detailed forecasts, radar layers and premium features justified the subscription cost and made it a valuable tool for those who relied on accurate weather information. However, over recent months the app appears to have been steadily downgraded whilst continuing to charge subscribers for a premium service. The result is that long-term customers are paying for functionality that is either unreliable, unavailable, or simply does not work as advertised. What is particularly disappointing is the apparent lack of transparency from the developer. Reading through recent reviews, I am clearly not alone. Numerous users report issues with premium features, radar functionality, widgets, account recognition, subscription activation and general reliability. The developer’s responses often direct users to support channels, yet the same complaints continue to appear repeatedly. (App Store) The premium subscription is marketed as providing enhanced radar layers, 14-day forecasts, weather maps and other advanced features. (DTN Consumer) If those features are not functioning consistently, subscribers are not receiving the service they have paid for. As a loyal customer, I feel let down. Long-term subscribers supported this app when it was one of the market leaders, yet it now feels as though the quality of the product is declining while subscription charges continue. If premium services cannot be delivered reliably, Apple should seriously consider reviewing whether affected subscribers are entitled to refunds. I sincerely hope the developer addresses these issues, communicates honestly with customers, and restores WeatherPro to the standard that originally earned its reputation.
Negative
Since the last update the Radar has gone black. Like it’s a negative film ☹️
An accurate site
Always a great help in planing your days
Grey radar map
the same grey radar map issue as reported below, have deleted and reinstalled and still the same. i have sent an email with screen shots, hopefully can be fixed soon
Bon
Toujours précis
Declined
Performance of satellite imagery has deteriorated sadly. Ticket raised Premium subscriber, but no longer feels like the best weather app out there
map and graphics now restored
Thank you for listening
My favourite
I like being able to see the precipitation amount in the daily view, and I also prefer the vertical scrolling. Many other weather apps use horizontal scrolling, which I find less intuitive and harder to use.
Update has broken the map
What has happened to the map? I’m a premium subscriber and have been for years - this was a really good app. What’s going on?
Oh dear…
Just loyally paid £1.99 (again) for a 3 month ‘premium’ extension, only to find that the app no longer offers the ‘live’ radar cloud cover I specifically wanted. Why not? Where is it? I think a refund is in order please? Pound to a penny I won’t get it though. In my opinion; this app is slipping.
Good but got bugs
Used for ages .. one of if not THE best and most accurate in my opinion (uk) BUT something has gone wrong recently with maps time lapse .. choppy / blocky part displays and scale showing hours and days at the same time Thought may be a memory issue so tried as the only loaded app .. same issue
Subscription
The App appears to have taken payment twice for a full subscription - support pages don’t work - and rainfall forecasts by radar no longer work. Seems like obtaining money under false pretences
No
I got it for years and was always great but recently it’s a nightmare, I pay for the premium version but it’s impossible to see the maps since a while , no hourly update video, they repair it for one month and next month we are back to zero. I wrote them several times, but they take ages to answer and there are always the same excuses. If I pay for years an app I would like to get what I pay for. Happy to change my mind if they start to work as they used to do
Probably a scam
They charge you double for same period while the subscription renewals are not recorded. Full of bugs
All gone wrong
So sad that this app is so poor now. Just renewed my subscription and now have no data available. Cleared cache etc. clean install and still all but useless. Waste of money.
Sad to see it go
Thus was my to go app. Sad to see it no longer shows the maps.
