Useful!
Moved to this app from Fresha after they started charging and trying to get users to take payments through them, it felt like a money grab. All I need is an online diary with a calendar and booking reminders - and this is perfect.
Misleading Pricing and Poor Support Experience
Dear Picktime Team, Thank you for finally responding. I want to be very clear about why I will not be moving forward with Picktime. First, your pricing and marketing need to be much more transparent. If a customer cannot actually purchase the Starter plan for one user at the advertised per-user price, then advertising it that way creates the wrong impression. If the minimum charge is for three users, state the real minimum monthly and annual cost clearly upfront. Do not attract customers with a low “per user” figure and only later explain that they are required to pay for three users. A solo business owner should not have to pay for three users when they only need one. There are thousands of independent business owners, including salon owners, barbers, pest-control operators, cleaners, consultants, therapists, and other service providers, who work completely on their own. Why should someone with one user pay for two additional users they will never use? If your product is designed only for businesses with three or more staff members, say that clearly. Otherwise, create a genuine single-user plan with pricing that reflects one user. Also, the response time to a simple pre-sales question has been extremely disappointing. If this is the level of support before I have even paid for the service, it raises a serious question: what level of support should I expect after becoming a paying customer? The recurring appointment feature does what I need, but the pricing structure, lack of a proper solo-user option, and slow support make the overall service unsuitable for my business. This has unfortunately been a waste of my time and resources. My suggestion is simple: improve the transparency of your marketing, clearly advertise the actual minimum price customers will pay, and seriously consider building a proper plan for independent single-user businesses. A good product is not just about features. Pricing, transparency, customer support, and understanding your target market matter just as much. Thank you.
Nice and simple
I use this app for my students to book themselves in for phone appointments. So far it's working well. It would be great if it integrated with my iCal Perhaps that is something this company could do in an update?
Okay, maybe I just not sure how to work it
I like the way the app looks but the fact that clients can’t book more than once in a day is what’s throwing me off. I most do drop in visits for clients and most of my clients like more than once a day visits
Syncing is not always accurate
I pay to use this I am not on the free version as I wanted the calendar synching. I have been having issues this year with picktime not recognizing when I have blocked days off. It still allows clients to book and then I have to cancel them. The “fix” they keep telling me is to use an option that isn’t included in Apple’s Calendar option. I have the most recent software. When I tell them this they say tell Apple. What a cop out. Apparently they have no plans to fix this.
Owner
Bookings are quite easy and effortless. Their GUI is quite easy to understand and also to learn.
Sign-in Issue
I can’t sign in any account using any option (Apple, Google and Microsoft)
Problem with adding a new location
When I try to add a location, the app completely shuts off. I have enjoyed everything about this app, but in order for my business to thrive I really need this bug to be fixed. Thank you for your concern, Shelby
Needs iPad view cause mobile sucks
Cool idea, poorly implemented on the mobile end. Things just don’t flow. No auto cap of the first letter of names, exiting out of transactions takes multiple clicks not in areas you think to click, navigation isn’t very pleasant, can’t customize the 3 days you look at. I work thurs -sat and I can only view wed-fri or sat-mon. I work on an iPad and it forces me into a screen that is for phones. Would love an auto check out option since I don’t pass money through this… it’s for tracking and appointments. Will update rating when I see improvements
Needs some important updates
Most notably the ability to search for a specific service instead of scrolling through an entire list
Amazing!
I’m so happy to have found this app for my business. I’m still new and growing, but love the tools available to get started. Also I found it very user friendly.
App is broken
After latest update app is no longer usable.. crashes without reason
Cool option but..
I like the simplicity and versatility of scheduling options. I need the zoom extension to put the generated zoom link in the Google calendar invitation so that customers do not have to go digging for the confirmation email when it’s time to join. Also, should have more flexibility with reminders. I use the 15 min before and 30 min before the appointment reminder but would like a 5 or 10 minute before option and an alert at time of the event. People are moving quickly, very busy and have short attention spans. The system needs to make it as easy as possible to remember and to join.
Not working
All of a sudden I can’t access the info using the app however it opens using the desktop site which is not cool. Please help!!
Somewhat clunky but functional
I just need a basic calendar to keep track of my many work schedules. I don’t need or want a bunch of AI features, but the free version is clunky to use and doesn’t allow repeating appointments. What a pain.
High recommended
I’ve using for more than 5 months and I really like, easy to set and work with. I hope in the future they have plans for self works I want a plan but just for my self I don’t have a team. I use a free account and work very well for me
Crashes
Was great now crashes on opening. Please sort this!
Really good
This is a great app! It is easy to use, and the customer service is excellent; they are always happy to help. The reason I’ve given this a 4-star rating is that there is room for improvement. For instance, it would be beneficial to implement a feature that prevents customers from booking on the same day or at least requires a minimum of 4 hours' notice. As a car wash owner, I’ve noticed that customers often make bookings just as they are driving up the road. Having a control in place for this would greatly enhance the experience for both customers and service providers. Overall, I appreciate the app and look forward to seeing these improvements!
This needed
- longer description of class options - a way to resequence classes, Resources, etc There is no chat available right away - they answer way after the fact
Want to like it. Needs more functionality.
Mostly like this app but needs more work. I’ve tried with their service team to get it to sync to my iPhone 3 times with no luck. The goal is not to have to double enter things into my phone but I need notifications or appointment reminders. Preferable the ability to set it to a day before and an hour before or even a weekly or daily notification with your appointments for the week/day. I love the client text reminders and the ability for them to book their own appointments. Having to scroll down times in 5 minute increments is silly would love to just type them in. Also, if you click on a day to set an appointment it doesn’t open to that day. It opens to the current day. Easier to use on desktop than on the app. Needs polishing.
Great app!
Very user friendly and easy to manage!!
Latest version crashes
Downloaded the android version yesterday, 1/23, and the iOS today, both versions crash. Waiting for it to be resolved.
Needs more
So this app is free and SUPER easy to work with! Love how simplistic it is and how smoothly it operates! Setting up services and appointments is easy, but here are some things you should implement to make it 1,000x better! - PLEASE make it where people can book multiple services at once! If someone is getting more than one service a day, they should be able to book multiple! - Add an option where when picking a service with variable options, there’s a drop down menu listing the different prices. It takes so long to add all the variables, to THEN have the client scrolling forever just to find the one specific variable from a long list in the catering menu. If these options are added, it would make the app so much better!
Something is wrong
The app signed me out several times a day and then I am not able to sign it. Please fix this as it makes bookings or checking the bookings impossible.
Good and bad
Everything about this app is good except for the app. The app is decent, but it never loads my appointments unless I switch to a different day and then switch back. But great product
Free
Love the app and the tools. Easy set up and user friendly.
No longer works
No longer works after this most recent update. Comes up and immediately closes out. Update needs an update.
Inprovments needed
Great app but needs to have a kiosk mode option for iPads to allow self check in for conferences rooms as well as check in for apppontments.
Notifications are Annoying
There appears to be no way to change what notifications get sent by the app. So the only options I have are allow notifications or don’t allow notifications. As the admin for my team, I get notified whenever _anything_ happens, for any team member, at any time. It’s annoying. Otherwise, the app is okay
Great booking system
I’ve been using Picktime for about five years now and I love how easy it is to use unlike some other booking systems. My clients also like it. BUT there are three things I wish were different: - I wish it would show you first available date to book. Currently you are forced to click on each date individually, and it’s annoying for both me AND clients. - I wish there was a “build your own package” option when listing services. Currently you are forced to manually list every feasible combination of services and clients must choose from a looooonnngg menu. - I wish there was an option to require a client to put credit card on file.
Poor customer service
I was researching booking softwares and I chose this one. It is hard to know all the questions to ask. I have a million things to do to set up my business so I signed up for the paid version. After doing so I realized that when you connect Square the customer is not able to tap in the square device and have it go through to close out in the booking system. You have to manually put the card number in the system. This is a basic function that this software cannot do. This won’t work for us and the company wouldn’t provide a refund even though we hadn’t used the software yet. I am writing this review because I didn’t want this to happen to anyone else.
Great App
Would it be possible to mirror the functionality in the web app? Like showing the names of customers in daily view so we don’t have to click on the time just to see the name.
Room for improvement
I used this US based start-up scheduling app for my small business, for about one year. I was only after something very basic and easy to use for my customers. At the time of review, Picktime very much feels like a beta app (I’m sure it will continue to improve). I cannot recommend their paid version(s) at present, simply because there are better products in the market at competitive price points.
Satisfied with the app
Really good booking app, offer variety of services, excellent service.
Not user friendly
Not intuitive at all. I have the app and no idea how to find or schedule an appointment
IPAD COMPATIBILITY
I hope you add app that is compatible to ipad since it’s easier to manage bookings when using larger screens.
I love this app!
I am absolutely overjoyed to have discovered that you have an app - and pleasantly surprised to find it so navigable and functional. My only suggestion is ease of using the calendar to add time blocks or appointments: 1) I'd like to be able to tap on the calendar and that initiate the modal with date and time chosen 2) when choosing the date in the modal, either give me a calendar popup or at least let me see day of week. 1 of them would be great - both even better! So happy with this, thanks devs!!!
Expansive
Not worth the price anyway
I really want this app to be good!
Excited for this app, but still a long way to go before I can really use it. Number one thing is when you click on the appointment you should be able to click on the client to see their address, notes, etc. Even better, you could click on the address and be taken to your maps app. I’ll keep waiting for this app to improve!
Stay away! Zero Stars if I could.
Tried this and it's very limited in functionality and the app freezes up constantly. I cancelled during the trial since I could not make it work properly. I was nonetheless charged 3 months in a row after cancelling. I tried to contact support and they were unresponsive. Now I have to dispute the charges with my bank. This is one of those scams that make it easy to start the "free trial" but make it nearly impossible to cancel.
