A bit buggy but overall good
I initially left a negative review due to the app asking me to repurchase the offline dictionary (I paid for it in 2023) but the error went away on its own a few days later. Hopefully the issue won’t arise again

Great dictionary
This is a great dictionary, not only it provides translation. It is serving us thesaurus and provide provides translation and other language languages since I’m a Polish speaker and that’s where I learned German it’s very useful. The more I use it the more impressed I am with it
Was good, unusable now. Don’t waste your money
It used to be good, I paid full price for offline functions. Then it just stopped working. 9/10 words I try to translate offline won’t translate. Search is broken. AI features are useless. Don’t waste your money
Life saviour!
4 stars, because you need to pay €10 for adding 50+ words in your collection :( and some C1/C2 translations are totally wrong. Previously I was trying to make my own german language flashcards with base form, different forms, example sentences, conjugation, translations etc. You can already imagine that it was quite stressful. I was using reverso, duden, deepl, anki, and I had to manually add everything. But this app has everything in one place. Different filtering options with language level and word type (noun, adj etc). Flashcard is under Games option. I highly recommend this app for language learners.

Keyboard always changes the language
The problem is that the keyboard always changes for language that i want to translate to. I just want to press the search button and write in german and search for my results, not press, then change the language, then search and do so every time. Really. The problem is, that it was fine before.

Harmful Stereotypes in the App

Helpful App
A very useful app for German language learners. It shows all grammatical aspects of words with examples and pronunciation. Although, the Browse Menu ( which is the most used tab ) should be the default tab when a user opens the app and preferably should be moved to the most left tab instead of Chat tab.

Great Word Translation/Dictionary App
This app is very useful if you are learning German because it shows base forms and all the correct conjugation! A lot of free resources don’t show conjugation and that makes them very limited in their ability to help you learn the nuances of the language.
KI im Chat antwortet fehlerhaft
Die KI im Chat soll als Deutschlehrer funktionieren. Doch man muss Deutsch bereits können, um die Fehler der KI erkennen zu können und somit nichts falsches zu lernen. Schreibt die KI z.B. folgende Frage mit Antwort: Woran fragst du? Ich frage nach dem Weg. „Woran“ ist hier das völlig falsche Wort. Es muss heißen „wonach fragst du“. Somit ist die KI in der App zumindest unbrauchbar, da man sich nicht auf die Korrektheit verlassen kann.
I can't play the sound
I gotta tap a looooot of times to listen to pronouciation. It was ok when I started using this app last year tho.

Wann wird es möglich sein, Wörter, die in die Lieblingssammlungen aufgenommen wurden, mit Lernkarten zu lernen? Wenn dies in naher Zukunft nicht vorgesehen ist. Erstellen Sie einen Export der gespeicherten Wörter, damit man nach Möglichkeit Karten in anderen Sätzen erstellen kann.
Great app with errors & words missing
I’m a beginning learner of German. I bought the online upgrade of this app and have so far found it very useful! Every entry has a list of different forms of the word, synonyms, etc. and examples in sentences. I also love the unlimited word lists that I can create so I can save new words I’ve learned. The AI chat is handy, if not all that comprehensive. The only problem I have is that some fairly common words such as “Bekannte” are not included. That makes me wonder how complete this dictionary is. I’ll probably need to find a bigger and more comprehensive one later. But for now this one suffices my needs for the most part. P.S. Some entries are confusing and I (as a beginner-learner) suspect erroneous. For instance, “ziemlich” is categorized in this dictionary as an adjective while it’s more like an adverb. Interestingly, the AI teacher also said it’s an adverb. I don’t know. I’d consult other dictionaries when there’re doubts. “Dschungel” has all three genders but should be only masculine.
A bug?
I love the app, but since the recent update (the one that shows different word types in different colors), some words are not showing any examples, words that I am sure had examples before. This really bugs me, because the examples are the main thing that teaches us how a word is used. PLEASE FIX THAT! 🙏

I bought a subscription, but my app doesn't work
Great app, with some minor annoyances
Very helpful app. However, I’m having a bug preventing me from signing in using Apple account. I’m getting an error 500: login failed message. So I can’t sync across my devices. Also, some words in the flashcard game are missing their corresponding English translation
Збої в роботі лівої панелі
Іноді на моєму iPad 11‘‘ M4 перестає реагувати на дотики ліва панель зі списком слів, який змінюється Залежно від пошуку. Це відбувається як мені здається у альбомному режимі додатку. Проблема несе масовий характер іноді я не можу нормально працювати з додатком. В якийсь момент ліва панель починає переставати реагувати на дотики та пересування пальця вверх вниз. При цьому можна прослухати слово яке знаходиться нижче або вище в ті ж ліві панелі. Не працює саме скролинг верх вниз. Допомагає лише перезапуск закриттям програми. Через буквально 5-10 хвилин проблема повторюється. Знайти якусь залежність чи причину по якій це відбувається я не зміг.
Issues with searching the words
I liked the app but after the last updates it became impossible to search the words: when looking for the words I saw only those I had looked for earlier (even if the filter is off). I kindly ask you to fix this issue as soon as possible.
Love the app! Minor bug suggestion
Excellent app, very well designed and executed: bravo! The Flashcards are especially great and I have been using them extensively. However, when using the “success” filter (X to 9), I suggest the “0/zero” value should show unseen/unrated cards which would allow the user to go through cards they haven’t yet reviewed. Presently, nothing ever shows up for 0 and there is no way to filter for unrated cards. (Rating them makes them jump from X to 1 without going through zero, so the 0 value is presently useless!)
Problem in the update
In the text input box, the “X” (clear text) button is placed directly over the text, making part of the word unreadable while typing. This has become a real issue for me and many of my friends who use this software regularly. Interestingly, this problem did not exist in previous versions.
Is it a rendering issue?!
It looks like there’s a small rendering issue in the app. Some metadata/HTML tags (e.g. <q g>...</q>) are being displayed directly instead of being parsed. This seems related to how web markup is handled. Could you check the tag rendering so only the word forms (e.g. eilt • eilte • ist geeilt) are shown without the raw tags?

Great, except for one major annoyance
This app is fantastic in every way, minus one. Using this on iPad is really horrible. The UI doesn’t really scale well or lends itself to a horizontal screen. Would love this aspect of the app to be updated. Using it windowed or full screen, it just looks clunky. It’s a little difficult to describe in just text, but if you’re planning on using this on iPad, just know it won’t flow very well. The content itself is excellent, and being able to download has been awesome.

Ich habe versucht, das Konto zu öffnen, ich habe mich in das Konto eingeloggt, und trotzdem sagt es, dass ich einen Benutzername- oder Passwortfehler habe. Ich hatte die App zuvor gekauft und aus irgendeinem seltsamen Grund habe ich den Zugriff verloren. Die Wahrheit ist, dass ich, obwohl ich es gerne wieder kaufen würde, Angst habe, dass es mir wieder passiert. Und dazu weiß ich nicht, wie ich den Benutzerfehler beheben kann. Was soll ich tun? Es gibt zu viele unnötige Übersetzungen für ein Wort, die man gar nicht benutzt, und viele sind falsch. Es wird nicht immer angegeben, dass das Wort mit der Partikel „sich“ verwendet wird, aber ansonsten ist es für sein Geld durchaus gut.

Pretty good, but has some bugs
This is a pretty solid app and has definitely already shown itself to be useful in learning German. However, I do think it could use some work, namely the chat text entry doesn’t retain focus after pressing send, so I have to refocus it each time, which isn’t a deal breaker, but is kinda annoying, also, sometimes after doing a search for a word and clicking on a definition the search pane no longer opens another definition and I have to restart the application to continue using it. These things specifically happen on my Mac and iPad, it works better on the iPhone, but it would be nice if it could be fixed, as I like having the offline dictionary available on my laptop and iPad.

At the beginning I was fully satisfied with this app. But few weeks ago developers changed the interface and now it is real quest to find dictionary. Please turn it back on home page or in heading instead of AI, Games, chat and collections. As well you need time to switch search setting to German.
Offline mode problem

Blurry search needed
I like this app and paid to upgrade. Will continue using for sure. One thing I wish you could change is the word search. Currently it tolerates 0 typos and immediately shows no word matches your search - whether you typed an o instead of ö or simply got a wrong letter at the very end. Both happen often to all of us. I also wish there’s a drop down of words as I search especially if you don’t fix the 0 tolerance problem.. at least with the drop down it’s easier to scroll to the right word so I don’t have to type correctly all the letters left. Again, love this dictionary and just wish to see the improvements. Vielen Dank.

Словарь сам хороший, есть много значений слов, в разных падежах и в разных временах примеры. Раздел "Чат" - иногда просто бесит своей тупостью: не переводит, а повторяет фразы, не монимает простых вопросов... Использую платную версию. В итоге словарем пользуюсь, а чат временами проверяю на предмет улучшения - но, пока он тупой. Может со временем он догонит другие более умные AI чаты - тогда, это будет достойным приложением.
