One of the best mobile games ever and one of the first to gain popularity. I know this game is ages old, and I doubt it sees updates anymore, but if there is any, please update weekly challenges. Give it some more depth please. This week it’s simply travel 4700mm… I breeze past that every game and did… weekly long challenges shouldn’t be completable in one run.
Good game bad port
Sadly this version frequently loses the last run save data, rolling you back to an older version of your save. Already lost over 20k coins because of thjs bug

Can’t run
I tried playing it. Took 2 minutes to load and I kept on getting fps drops causing me to lose. Please make better optimization. (IPhone 11)
Good, but something’s off…
I think you should get all the characters their own death quotes such as “You taste like milk and cookies” for Santa and “I should have packed a parachute…” for Rahi Raja. It would help out a ton.
Crashes on iPad Pro 12.9 inch 3rd Gen
This game has an issue, sometimes in the middle of a run, it’ll just crash and throw me back to my Home Screen of my iPad, I’m playing this game on an iPad Pro 12.9 inch 3rd generation running iPadOS 18.4, it’s done this twice before, is there a glitch that needs fixing or is my iPad too old to run this game? Developer response would be appreciated on what is going on with this problem.

Good but could be better
The game plays ok on the Mac but is clearly not optimised for it. The game does not fill the 16:10 aspect ratio of my MacBook Pro which means that I must play with black bars on the top and sides of my screen. Futhermore, the fact that the turn controls are the same as the tilt controls makes controling the game signifactly worse than it is on iPhone or iPad. Also, the graphics look like that of an early 2000s game with no way to turn them up, which is disaponting considering the fact that the M3 Pro MacBook Pro that I am playing it on has more power than an 8th gen console. I get that it was made as a moble game first and a Mac port 2nd but the fact the an Apple arcade game is so unoptimised for a powerful mondern Apple device is dissaponting, espessally when you the fact that Apple acrade is a paid severce. With all that being said though, it is a fun game to play.
Fun but hard
I’m playing this a lot and I’m trying to get a female character and I’m every now and then having to take breaks because of frustration but it’s still a lot of fun to play

I love Temple Run personally and as soon as I find out it has an Apple Arcade, I couldn’t resist. It has been a while since I played Temple Run until 4 weeks ago. As usual, there is an issue in the game. Whenever I tilt my phone it moves the guy that is running BUUUUUT a few minutes ago that control lagged when I had an Invincibility Power Up. As a result I couldn’t turn and died… This is a short review so there is nothing else to point out. Please fix

It would be a great help for older people and beginners to have varying speed levels.
Here are some notes
First of all you can’t change your skin ( I think). Also, unlike the original game you can not change the background of the game. I’d also change the way it’s played. For example instead of the same set over and over again you could add hills, and times you go underground and just change the setting a little. Thank you 👋

Game ruining bugs on iPad with keyboard case
Playing this on the iPad with a case that has a built-in keyboard, the game is assuming I'm using a keyboard to play (which, why would I? The game doesn't even play in landscape mode for my keyboard to be comfortable) and it does not respond to swiping or tilting during gameplay unless I take my case off (and only does if I do take it off, restarting and reinstalling the game have not fixed the issue). Quite a hassle just to play a simple arcade game. Hope this gets fixed soon since temple run was always one of my favourites.

覚えるべきアクションは少ないが、徐々に早くなり瞬時の判断が求められる。思わずハマってしまうゲームだ。BGMも雰囲気が出ていて楽しい。 しかし、至急改善して欲しいところがある。それは、とても高い頻度でセーブデータが戻されるという点だ。特に、パワーアップなどを購入したりするタイプのゲームなので、戻されるのはなかなか致命的ではないか。

Boy they aren’t kidding! This game is virtually unchanged from the original game I played on my first iPhone in 2008. And it’s a still a great game, but I guess I was expecting a little more Zazz!

Good but Leaderboard Can be Gamed - Horrible
This has always been a great game to play. Recently I discovered, however, that you can 'game' (cheat) the score you achieve by quitting when you 'die' as long as you still have 1 revive left. Don't choose that last revive and just quit and then wait the requisite time to have 3 revives appear. Whilst fun for a few goes, it does rather defeat the whole point ofthe game doesn't it? It means that the ridiculously big scores (600 million at the time of writing) at the very top of the global leader board via Games Center is really pointless and completely detracts from the game IMHO. Devs you can surely fix this if you want to? In the meantime I will stop playing it as its competitiveness is gone.

Mag jetzt ein persönliches Problem sein, aber ich finde es schade, dass die Steuerung nicht anzupassen geht. Ich komme mit dem Kippen überhaupt nicht zurecht. Andere Runner wie z.B. Sonic Dash+ haben es aus meiner Sicht besser gelöst. Dort kann man einfach nach links und rechts wischen, um Hindernissen auszuweichen und Münzen zu sammeln. Auch sind diese Abbiegungen ziemlich verwirrend, teilweise sind sofort danach irgendwelche Hindernisse, welche nur schwer bis gar nicht auszuweichen sind. Und überhaupt wird es viel zu früh schon viel zu schwer. Ich frage mich auch, warum man nicht den aktuellen Teil (Temple Run 2) hier released, stattdessen wird ein bereits eingestaubter Teil genommen. Fällt mir hier bei Arcade oft auf. Zumal die Grafik des ersten Teils nicht sonderlich hübsch ist…

Read the developer’a response re a fix to this problem but found little has changed. Sad, given what a lovely little game this is.

It’s a good game, but just a shame there’s not other maps to unlock like in temple run 2, as it soon gets boring running the same map all the time
A lazy re-release
It’s a decade old game and it plays like one. They have not enhanced any of the core gameplay or graphics, so there’s very little new here
Adding a vsync option would be useful.
Playing on a 2017 MacBook Pro, I'm getting a lot of distracting screen tearing during runs that I think would be fixed if there was a graphical option to enable vsync (or hard-coding it to be always enabled). Otherwise, glad to see this classic in Apple Arcade.

Temple Run has always been one of my favourite mobile games so I’m elated to see the dust brushed off it on Apple Arcade 😍 Plays really well and the new objectives etc are a nice addition without taking away from the original game. The only thing - it seems to register a right swipe as a down swipe a lot more which leads to a lot of runs ending with a nice slide into the water 🛝 Could absolutely just be me, but wanted to raise it in case it is “a thing”. 😄
Game is meaningless harder
The game accelerates much quicker than the original one. Money chases the runner much longer. Control is not accurate. Swiping left/right often recognize as swiping down. The intentional delay between swiping up and down makes the runner easy to die. Making the game harder won’t keep us to play it.
iPhone issue
I can’t tilt in my iPhone 13…? iPad version works perfectly, just that problem 😭
Simple, Fun, and Nostalgic
I remember playing temple run on my iPod in the early 2010’s, and I’m so glad that it’s being kept alive now and has a version in Apple Arcade! The game is so simple, yet fun!
