What people like
- Every search helps shelter dogs
- Fast and reliable results
- No billionaire profit motives
What they complain about
- It crashes and locks you out
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Searches feel slow to load
I love it!
It just feels good to know I’m helping dogs, rather than fueling billionaires. 🙌
Found a result
I clicked on it, blank screen. Tried again blank screen. Then dogdog locked me out.
I think it’s a nice alternative so far
Only had it for about a week ish but I like that the ai (although I wished I could avoid it all together) is pretty minimal in searching compared to google. I don’t know how well it is about protecting data but I like the idea of supporting shelters. Also can’t make it your default browser on iPhone as far as I can tell but I switched mine to the tree growing browser (can’t remember the name atm) so it works out for now!
Tried it for the dogs
It was slow to search, every website i visited after searching had more ads, and when it offered me to watch an ad for more votes for my kennel it was an ad for like virtual sex or something that i exited so quickly I’m not sure exactly. Deleted after that. Love the concept but not okay if my kiddos were playing and that popped up.
Would love to love it
I would love to love this app but it is so slow and constantly crashes.
Dogs
I’m going to start using this search engine, just because I know it’s helping dogs, the search is fast and reliable, thanks.
App review
The app needs a few bugs worked out!
Good search engine
I like this search engine especially because it helps dogs in need. Wow… a tech company that is focused on something besides greed! My only negative comment is that I wish it had voice activation. I’m in my 70’s and typing is difficult for me. Otherwise, it’s a great search engine.
DogDog Search review
I have gotten excellent information so far and have not missed safari and google at all.
Review
I like it very much, but the type could be bigger.
Better than Google Search
This is a more reliable site search and it’s nice to know it’s helping animals. Something Google would never do.
A widget would be nice 🐾
Great app! Just needs a widget! 🐾
Find things. Help dogs
If you’re going to search anyway, why not help dogs in need? Dogs make everyone a better person. A little gesture goes a long way.
Great to be helping animals
Feels good to be doing something I would normally be doing but helping animals at the same time. Wish they would have auto complete
For the Dogs
Reminds me of old school search engines before SEO bros homogenized everything, but still feels modern! Plus every search helps dogs so I try to use it multiple times a day.
Helping Animals
I’d rather help any and all animals instead of enriching any more tax dodging billionaires. If my searching for info on my phone can help animals, I’m all for it. My dog enriches my life tremendously. ❤️❤️❤️
Great idea
Great to save dogs!
DogDog search
