What people like
- Feels less politically biased than others
- Does not track your activity
- Shows multiple perspectives on topics
What they complain about
- Keeps crashing when you open it
- Tabs button closes the app
- Support never actually helps
- Results still feel biased to some
Unbiased and amazing
I can't stress enough how important real news is and not biased. Although I think this app has its flaws like every other but it's gives you facts.
What a crock
Freespoke ignores verifiable facts, instead offering just another example of the tired “both sides are the same” argument. It gives equal weight to opposing perspectives without offering any actual fact based scrutiny of the claims made. What a waste. Delete!
Scrolling
I enjoy using Freespoke, but there is one element I find very frustrating. When I look up a topic I get many varied responses. I scroll through to find one that looks interesting, tap on it and read the article. However, when I go back to the listing of sites I am thrown to the top of the page and I have to scroll back through to find another link that looks interesting. I would like it if after using a link I am taken back to that spot when I page back instead of to the top where I then have to scroll to where the link was that I just came from.
Clumsy to use …
… requiring too many operations when engaging multiple topics from emails.
Search is ruined
The Cloudfare security check in the search function, is most of the time not working as it should. Troubleshoot suggestions don’t make it better. Sharing the page to other browser, immediately solves the check. Very strange. Hampered product all in all.
Found it love it
No more left leaning news. Never use Google cause I realize that they were left leaning then I use Yahoo as a search ending engine but now I realize they’re left-leaning used to pay monthly for Apple news until I realize everything was left leaning and deleted it so now I’m doing Freespoke and at least they’re in the middle and nothing left or right everything is equal.
Bait and switch
This app started out great, and then slowly all the horses turned into bait and switch where you have to buy a subscription to continue reading articles.
I Love Where Freespoke Is Going!
I have been using Freespoke for a few weeks now. I am loving it for the way it helps me cut through all of the bias out there. But, the pricing is very confusing to me. I gladly paid for an annual subscription, but keep getting messages that say I have accessed 4 out of 10 free articles, then offers to upgrade me to premium without explaining what premium is. Freespoke, please don’t confuse people.
Man Made Climate Change is Real according to a simple search on Freespoke
It seemed to parrot everything the MSM has been saying with few alternative explanations. What about the research article by Grok? What about anything from the Climate Depot? Did not seem to produce even a balance of research on this topic. In order to get anything close to a balance by any AI that scrapes the internet, there needs to be an algorithm that provides 75% of references from conservative sources and 25% from mainstream sources. Any quick search shows that the internet is highly skewed left and liberal. An algorithm must then be highly biased towards “conservative” to get anything close to 50 / 50 in sources provided. Gave it 2 stars vs 1 because at least this is an attempt in the right direction.
App Keeps Crashing
After using Freespoke for several months, the app started to crash after selecting the tab icon at the bottom of my phone. I reached out to customer service and they replied. They asked me if I had the latest update and I did. A couple of days later, there was an update. After the update was complete, I attempted to use the app again. The same thing occurred; the app crashed after selecting the tabs icon at the bottom. I am not sure why this keeps happening. I finally had to start using another search engine.
FREESPOKE is a breath of fresh air
FINALLY a truthful search engine that shows both sides, all with NO TRACKING.
Where is free version?
I heard about Freespoke from a podcast. I goggled to see if it was free to use or just download The response was there was a free version or you can upgrade for a fee. Being on a fixed income I opted for the free version. However I found no way to bypass the ‘free trial’ version which would automatically enroll you in the paid subscription. So how does one get to the free version??
Buggy
iOS 18.5 on 11 Put something in search and nothing comes up but the home page Tap on Help or whatever and still home page Please stay on top
Would use it more but
The search results are still manipulative like google when it comes to certain other topics other than the political realm for example if I search up something for food or a specific product I want to purchase I still will get manipulative YouTube videos downplaying the product I’m encouraged to buy because it’s my preference it’s the small details that makes a difference that will help you stand out even more amongst the others a lot of others are trying but could do better
Would be great if it would stop crashing
As far as search results go Freespoke far outweighs any other options out there. It was always my go-to but a few months ago it started crashing whenever I try to open the tabs. I’ve reached out to tech support and just receive replies asking if app is up to date and what operating system I’m using even though I’ve explained it all and all the steps I’ve already taken. It’s apparently a bug on their end so it’ll be nice if they fix it soon
Freespoke
Love it so far!
Still left wing biased
I downloaded and immediately put it to the test by asking it about people like Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Rayshard Brooks, etc. Consistently, the AI answer at the top conveniently left out key details of each case and filled the rest with emotional sob stories. Then, the next link is wikipedia (full left wing misinformation), followed by random podcasts (most frequently Ben Shapiro, no thanks), then followed by all mainstream news broadcasters (cbs, abc, nbc, nytimes, etc). Using this app is like watching Fox News. You think it must be decent because it’s right of center, but the fact is the “center” is so far left these days, even Fox is left wing. I’ll stick to my usual news sources that have been consistent (Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, Liberty Daily, Revolver, etc)
Seems like they’re still ironing things out
Hopefully it can be fixed soon, the app will duplicate in my phone and will start to act strange when using the app. Otherwise it’s a good app
Can’t use tabs
This app used to be great and has been my go-to for months. However in the last month or so, the app crashes any time I try to change tabs. Say I click a new link & it opens in FS, but I want to go back to the last tab; I have to manually type in the prior side & re-enter info (ex tracking numbers) or go find the email/link and re-open. But then I can’t switch again. The app keeps updating but this bug has not been fixed. Changing my default browser back to something else for now.
Glitch
I have used Freespoke for over a year without any problems. However, about a month ago, the app shuts down when I click on pages. I cannot access bookmarks at all. If I delete the app and reinstall it, it works for a few days before reoccurring.
Yes
It is private thank y’all !
Fake news
It’s a waste of time
Tabs are absent
Latest update 8 Apr 2025 I click on the tab icon & I get dumped out of the app. I love this app but this really needs to be fixed.
Can’t open tabs freezes up
Had free form for a while it all it does is freeze and closes app when you try to open other tabs
Site crashing
I’m unable to open pages. They fail to open and kicks me out of the app. Please fix. TIA
Woke News Stories
Never let your guard down of the propaganda of the Internet
Terrible
Worst app ever
Great start, looking forward to development
I almost never write reviews, but am compelled here. Love the idea and motives, especially blocking porn and keeping search algorithms from targeting conservatives. Two suggestions for improvement: 1) ability to create bookmarks 2) ability to tilt sideways a rather than talk with my iPad, makes for more comfortable browsing
Recent problem with app crashing
When I go to close a search window, the app crashes. I’m unable launch and open a new search as it will crash. This has been happening for the past month and I hope it gets resolved soon.
New tab issue
Each time I touch the new tab area the whole app closes.
Love it!
Works great and I feel good about supporting patriots 🇺🇸 respecting private citizens privacy 🙌🏼
Seem ok
Couldn’t read first article right after downloading because the screen jump all over the place multiple times from ads and pop up’s. I’ll try again some other time and see if works better.
Fix Tabs Button Glitch
The most recent update did not fix the Tabs button Glitch. When you click on “Tabs” at the bottom of the Home Page, the app closes right away. If this isn’t corrected soon, I will delete the app! Thank you!
Tabs button crashes app
I like the app and the search results. Today I tapped the Tabs button and the app closed. Tried force closing and restarting the app but unable to see other tabs in the browser. Please fix.
EXCELLENT
Thank for an alternative
No
This app says no tracking then ask over and over to turn your phone into a news machine gives you 8 articles a week for free and wants $40 a year for full access. I don’t need an app feeding me news or telling me what it means.
Keeps crashing
I love this browser and that’s why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 1 or 2…but it is always crashing on me even with the latest update today or yesterday. It started a week or two ago and hasn’t improved. Please look into this!
Great app and website! Fair and balanced!
Seems older problems are fixed and it’s smooth sailing now! Love the search results and the ability to get any biases. I always find things I need , thnx!
Subscription Required
Like most big tech, this app went from free service to subscription. Don’t waste your time. There are plenty of free options to receive the same news.
Tabs closes whole app
Till this bug it worked well. Now when I click the tabs button to move to a different tab the app closes completely!
Freespoke Unbiased Search Engine
Hey y’all, I pray you are having a blessed weekend. I chose this search engine because I was getting kicked off of others when certain topics were of my interests. I have NEVER been kicked off or misled by using this Freespoke app. MY initial draw for switching search engines, from Brave to Freespoke, was due to Elon Musk’s referral. Plus, there’s ALL the news about our President and our conservative government and…It seems like the truth is told. Well kind people. Thank you for reading my post. Have a blessed day! Keep the Faith! ☺️
Extremely slow
I think I’m going to cancel my subscription with free spoke. Anytime that I click on something it either doesn’t come up at all or takes forever. Most the time I get a blank screen. Solutions?
