This game is very easy to learn
Lost progress
Well, like many other who own any form of technology with a set storage space I had to delete this app at one point to make room on my I phone. After downloading the game again and logging into both the Game Center and my email I’ve been reset to starting level with nothing I’ve earned, bought or collected. Real money spent and so many hours lost. I’ve deleted and reinstalled, signed out and resigned in. With no result. I’ve contacted customer support but from Google reviews am not looking to see back for a while. I will fix this review when I get my stuff back. Sincerely HiveMindTyrant
Awesome game
Very well modeled so fun wish they could remove the win limit though
High Quality Pay2Play Slop.
Innumerable currencies that guarantee you get bottle necked by not having enough of either or. Insanely steep difficulty spikes that you can’t do much about if you don’t have High Level Units or Rarer Stronger Units. A bunch of Bloat Content that isn’t really that engaging. This game rewards consistency but hasn’t changed much since launch. It’s just a Warhammer themed time waster.
Good game
The game is good, only issue is lack of available characters at the beginning, you get the given characters and none of the random. If all characters were more available to everyone then game balance would be better.

Cash Grab Game
This game feels like its designed to feel like a job, using FOMO and enemy scaling to make you feel like the only way through is to either grind hours upon hours on a mobile game or spend $$$ to strengthen your team just enough to entice you to spend again when you hit a wall. Do yourself a favor and uninstall.

Good game, rude support team
I would have recommend this game however after dealing with support staff for the app I wouldn’t. It’s a shame to see the Warhammer property handled like this.
Don’t get ripped off
Pay attention to the offer wording they like to sell premium access to events then break the event into two parts and require payment for the second half. Games cool but too grindy leveling toons.

Ok game, awful netcode
Did you guys pull the netcode from an ‘80s archive or what? It’s embarrassingly bad, 5-10 minutes to re establish connection after a single dropped packet is pathetic, the rest of my devices and software didn’t even register the dropped packet, but Tacticus is fully blacked out. Absolutely horrible that this is the best you guys could come up with in 4 years
Awesome game
Fun to spend time mastering every character and its in depth with its own storylines. Its been pretty good so far and cant wait to see whats in the future for this game

Randomly won’t let me do anything because I’m “not connected to the internet” despite my WiFi being unaffected

The game feels like what the tabletop would be if it developed on mobile, I like it but wish there were more factions like the salamanders or sons of malice
Love The Game, Hate The Monetization
This game had some of the most extreme, exploitative monetization I have ever seen in mobile games. If you want to play for more than a few hours a day on this game you are forced to use their paid currency which is rarely given out in game, and if it is its in small amounts. If you want to progress at a somewhat decent rate instead of at a snails pace by paying an extreme amount of money you can progress slightly faster. The game has constant ads and highly priced packages that give you in game resources and such, but you get so little for how much your actually paying. Additionally with their newest anniversary event (war amongst the stars), instead of how in the past anniversaries or events you could pay for a $10 premium pack and it last you the entire event, now you have to pay for each week of the event. Other than the monetization it is a good game but the company running it is clearly putting profit over the players and making their game cost more to play than games-workshop does with any of their products.
UI and Microtransactions kill the game
It’s unbearable to play. UI is a disaster and microtransactions just snuff out any desire to play a single match
Good Gameplay
Spent a decent amount of time in-game so far. Made some progress. The story is pretty good. I just wish there was more of a challenge early on. I feel strong and am leveling up fairly quickly; but that because it’s pretty simple. Maybe it will crank up later. Looking forward to the rest of the story. Character creation is cannon and good too. 5/5
The worst multiplayer in gaming history
Here’s some advice, don’t leave your spawn. The person that attacks first ALWAYS wins, whether it’s against Npc’s or actual players, this game has no strategy or fun when you go online, just play the campaign or guild stuff.

The only thing to make this better is you should be able to use any character you unlock anytime you please
Far too grindy
The game has a lot of characters yes, but it is so goddamn hard to get them without selling an arm and leg and don’t get me started on the campaign I physically cannot make it past the necron one because you need to grind so much it genuinely makes this game so un-fun, and it has so much potential, please make it less grindy
In true GW fashion - Fun but Overpriced
The game is fun and runs pretty well, but it only drip feeds you new characters and “requisitions” (gacha pulls) for the first few hours at most. I tried a couple different avenues of purchasing things but all of options are WILDLY overpriced for what you get; for example there’s a “deal” today that works out to two 10x pulls of the gacha for $40, so $2 a pull. Actual slot machines are cheaper and at least they give you money back instead of digital characters and items you already had. If you find yourself considering making a purchase in this app, truly just stop for one minute and think of all the other things you could do with that money and you’ll see how bad a rip it is. You WILL regret it. If everything were half the price it is, it would almost be worth it. If it were a quarter it might even feel like a good deal. But if you’re familiar with the franchise, I’m not sure why you’d expect anything else.
Amazing game
I have been playing since like last year at August and I can’t get enough of the game because of how everything works and how make you feel like you accomplished something like if you get stuck on a level and then you upgrade your people and learn from it it makes you feel like you earned it

If you have a bunch of money to spend this game is for you. Every event is tailored to the player who spends the most money. If you don’t spend at least $350 you have no edge in any war, event, guild raid, campaign and anything else. Your stuck behind an energy bottleneck where you Litterally can’t progress unless your spending $20 there and $50 there every day. Great game just wish the devs weren’t so goddamn greedy.

Lost my old account because my old phone broke. Otherwise the only issue is the amount of grinding you gotta do.
New Update and blood angel blessed requisition
It’s been super laggy and slow after the update. And I also only got nicodemus for my guaranteed legendary pulls. I don’t need almost 1500 nicodemus character shards
Getting greedy
Big fan of 40k big fan of Tacticus however it has to be noted how grindy the game is becoming. I’ve bought season passes and additional stones in the past and I’m a long time player of 3+ years and I’m not a massive fan of the direction the game is going. The pull rates have always been abysmal, arguably some of the worst I’ve seen in a gacha game (putting machines of war in the draw is a ridiculous really). But the increase in upgrades is getting irritating really. Has been some great celebration events and would like to see more of these as a long time player and fan
Rise of khan
This is a awesome 40K game it’s definitely a way to play new characters. I would love to see white scars in this the khans are a powerful force and should get some play time

If you want to have fun, be prepared for 30 minutes maybe if you aren’t drawing it out and then 100’s of dollars of in game items with 40 bucks being maybe enough to get a quarter of the way anywhere, they have deals but most of it is pay to win slop, I only play cause of the nerd aspect but don’t play if you don’t have money to boost yourself otherwise it will take months to get anywhere and everyone else is already so much farther ahead

Gacha trash
Game is just an overhyped expensive mess (the packs in the store are ridiculously priced for example)relying on the warhammer ip to pull people in, that’s when it even works that is! Constantly has issues with saying you have no net connection when it’s just fine, this happens almost every update for days on end sometimes you can’t login at all, also the raid/pvp/guild systems are utter garbage almost like they where designed by either a 5 yr old or AI.
Pay 2 Play
A solid game but like most phone games the pay to win is excessive! You get about a week of play then most of the game is blocked by the need to pay for characters. So good game but you’ll have to spend money to stay invested
An iPhone game that is fun and isn’t pay to play.
I have been playing for about a year and a half. I’m currently in a Russian Corps. I have enjoyed the opportunity to interact the global community at large. Also I like the fact that Tacticus isn’t pay to play. While spending more money will obviously get a better account and more success in the game, the fact that competition is stratified means you can compete with players at the same level as you (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc). As a father with one kid in college and another on the way, I have limited resources I can spend on a game. That being said, that limitation has in no way impaired my enjoyment of the game. As a fan of the novels I’m glad I have. And the knowledge I’ve gain through reading has come in handy during the factions events. While being a fan of the novels can add to the enjoyment of the game, it’s also not a requirement for casual players. I hope you have as much fun as I am. Give it a try. No balancing
You’d think that fighting a boss enemy would be fun but there is no balancing to speak of so on the first turn your whole team (whom is above the recommended levels to survive) instantly dies and you just sit there confused. Terrible pile of garbage that gives warhammer a bad name don’t even bother installing, trust me this game is just a waste of ram and phone resources.
Stopped working
Keep getting cant connect prompts to often so just uninstalled. Game loads in normal can go thru the menus but cant raid or battle in anymode. was just getting into it otherwise very cool game.
Terrible clan system great game
Love this game great fun can be played without spending a ton and can be played fairly for free my biggest gripe is the guilds let me explain. We have a fantastic clan/guild lovely people and helpful but over the years we have dropped to half the numbers we now have 50% active regular players 50% had to kick low level who stopped playing after a few months. There is NO WAY to advertise our guild for more players we have had 1 person join in 11 months we were regularly winning lvl 3 wars now we can’t even compete in level 1 ?!?! We NEED a way to find new players a global chat or something would enable us to invite players. Secondly, clan wars are so damn scuffed we have veterans playing this game since day 1 we still can’t figure out how wars and hero lists work the recommended hero’s and power caps on attack are so confusing we genuinely never know what to do either overhaul the guild wars so it plays better or actually explain the mechanics in depth via a video even on YouTube the videos are confused YouTubers who just end up complaining. I love this game I love the comunity we made but I hate how we can’t grow it
Good in the beginning, grind is real… then it updates
The progression through the 8 campaigns is well paced and it doesn’t take much upgrading wise before you can take on a level you’re stuck on. However, the grind is very much real in the other aspects. Guild rewards are pitiful when helping other players with resources to the point where it’s really not worth it - you spend 6 energy (takes 30mins to regenerate) minimum for 2 guild rewards. Then the game updated… I got stuck on the loading screen at 10% for 5-10mins. Shut it down and same thing happened again. Deleted the app and immediately reinstalled… and it’s wiped everything…

I love the war hammer franchise I love tech-marines especially and I play WH40k on Xbox too everything about this app is addicting and I’m happy I downloaded it DOWNLOAD IT BY ORDERS OF THE EMPEROR!!!

You can get a lot of the stuff for free but at some point you are going to ru. Out of campaign to do I would love to buy one but I am not gonna spend 30 bucks on it. It’s just not for me

Stability Issues
This game is generally fun, well designed, lots to do, but is plagued by constant crashes. These are usually at the most inopportune times, such as the middle of a battle, costing you resources and ranking. I’ve updated software, done hard restarts, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, nothing works. It’s almost guaranteed the game is going to crash at least twice per session. Could be a five star game, if not for stability issues. Also, the micro transactions in the game are an extremely poor value. I don’t mind supporting a game I enjoy, but at least make the purchases worthwhile.
