Perfect streaming app
Price never increases like all the other apps, very affordable. You get your favorite shows early than ppl who have to wait till it airs on tv. (Helps avoid spoilers). The catalogue of movies n films is unmatched. Other apps take notes! This is how you keep customers happy. Hope everyone enjoys an watches twd: dead city!!!
Worthless
Typical movie company mobile app. Painful integration with service providers like Verizon FiOS and password managers. One simple login test by anyone at AMC who cares would show the problems immediately. I pay for AMC through FiOS but this app is worthless to me. Try to do federated login, get a screen full of SAML assertions.
Pretty good
I honestly just got it to watch Doctor Who that’s all I got it to watch for and it feels like there are a whole lot of ads. That’s the only bad thing about it so far I’m loving it and it has so much Doctor Who. I love it.
Egregious amount of ads
Simply too many ads. I get that there will be some, but it’s an insane amount. Feels like every 5 minutes another ad break.
tv search
what kind of streaming service doesn't have a question mark on their search function? that and the alphabet being laid out in a straight line is kinda a pain when you're doing the input on a remote.
Stream with an external device
After I got a Roku streaming service I no longer have any problems. It’s just that the google in the TVs are not compatible with the AMC+ app. Get a Roku and the problem is solved.
Cancel subscription is broken
You can’t even cancel the sub without jumping through hoops and being redirected everywhere across the internet absolutely unacceptable! On the desktop you get errors! So then you download the app and it tells you you to go to the App Store to cancel…? Fix the dang app this is ridiculous.

Not anywhere near as good as the original American Movie Classics
I like some of the shows I definitely love the walking dead anthology especially the current dead city. But my biggest complaint is that you don’t have a way to easily remove a show from the continue watching. This is the 21st-century not the 1990s. This should be a very easy thing for your site designers to come up with instead of having to have us go to the very last episode and then fast forward it all the way through the credits. Come up with a one touch option to delete a show from the continue watching and you’ll have a pretty damn good app.

abysmal
absolute garbage to cast to ANY device. every single stream lasts five minute then it crashes and forces the device to reboot. going back to shudder. NEVER AGAIN.
Good app
Not sure if I’m part of a few lucky ones or if the app was fixed but I don’t have the same experience has the others here. Apps works fine, they have great supernatural shows and everything is available. The down side is you can’t create profile which makes it difficult to pick up where you left of when you’re watching the same show as someone else in your house.
Needs Improvement
The app closes out quite often. I got the app to stream Dr. Who- you can’t select a season or episode unless you search the for the show. You should be able to do that by simply selecting the show while watching it. Another thing that needs improved is the show automatically playing the next episode…sometimes it does, sometimes you have to click the “resume” button, and sometimes the app just closes. It’s very frustrating and clunky.

I really want this to be able to be downloaded on my Xbox 1S because I want to watch The Walking Dead on my TV in my room
Streaming and downloading doesn’t function
I watched 1 free episode of an AMC+ show on Prime and signed up as a direct subscriber. The promotion code advertised for new subscribers could not be entered because the “Apply” button didn’t operate. When I tried to watch the 2nd episode of the show I got hooked on through Prime, the content on AMC+ just couldn’t be accessed at all, via streaming or downloading, on wifi or using cellular data. There’s no reason that an app should be this unstable and unreliable.

I keep getting a too many devices error even though none knows my passwords and im the only one logged in please fix

Interview with the vampire and the vampire start move on would be amazing works by ANMC team the production of both shows and their upcoming fourth season. I have not been spellbound like this and an eternity and I can’t wait for more.

Ran perfect but…
It ran perfectly but the fact that you can’t zoom in is super annoying, I have a pretty big phone so when I can’t watch a show on the hole screen it’s pretty annoying. Other then that I have no complaints 👍🏻

The Vampire Chronicles
100% here for the screen adaptations of Anne Rice’s “the Vampire Chronicles” and so long as the shows remain well done and REASONABLY true to the books and stories then I’ll keep coming back. I think that “the Interview With the Vampire” and “the Vampire Lestat” shows how to do an adaptation well and truthfully and failure of “the Talamasca” shows just how bad things can get if you veer too far from the source material. PLEASE don’t ruin it is all I’m saying in the end. You folks are NAILING IT with the Vampire Chronicles rn.
Keep billing me
I have canceled this subscription at least three times and they keep billing me every month
Doesn’t deserve the current negative reviews
Just cancelled my Shudder subscription ($6.99)/month and rolled it into my AMC+ subscription which provides so much more content. AMC+ website states that monthly fee is 8.99/month. Wish they could clarify if that was USD or CAD. Either way, wouldn’t be a big price difference. Lots of the reviews say the app sucks and content is terrible. I’ve found a decent selection and used to Canada lagging behind on releases. App is sometimes glitchy, but nothing that can’t be fixed in under 30 seconds by closing and reopening the app.

Too Many Issues
Tried their subscription and it seems like virtually every five minutes it has a problem and stops playing. I thought it was just the Apple TV app, but it happens on my phone and iPad too, so it’s something with their service. It really makes staying a subscriber unappealing. I hope they fix it soon. *EDIT: It’s now 2026, and the same consistent problems are STILL there. This app is absolute garbage and not the experience I expect for a paid service. Maybe a lawsuit is required for them to get off their rear and support this thing?

Constantly crashes
I've never seen an app on Apple TV that crashes as much as AMC+. It's incredibly irritating! Plus, I cannot believe an app still has buffering issues...it's 2024, not 2004!!!
Good app
Despite many negative 1 star reviews, I had no issues with the AMC+ app. It has the content I expected and it’s easily accessible. No content streaming issues or user interface complaints. Was able to find how to cancel the free trial with no hassle. At just $7.99 monthly, I would recommend.
Worse than Pluto
I’ve never written reviews, but this app deserves some written criticism. It's clunky; the streaming quality is the absolute worst. In an age where 4K streaming is easily available, it just boggles my mind that AMC chose to stream in pixely 1080i. I can't watch this on a regular TV. It looks like I'm watching cable TV from 2005. $11 a month for that? No thanks. Canceled right away and taking advantage of watching The Vampire Lestat before my trial ends.
