amazing but one tiny bug
I was able to create a couple of amazing voices, including one good enough to make about two hours of content so far. There is just a very odd bug where it will not say the word yes at the beginning of a few phrases that I’ve tried to punch in. I guess I can try it at the end, just wanted to let you know. Thank you. Update: it won’t say it at the end either. I guess it’s just specific to the word yes. Thank you for looking into it. P.S. I was sorry to see somebody else get automatically build for the seven day trial but like any other trial, you need to immediately cancel before you forget about it and then get socked with charges. I did request that they provide a monthly rate and that is now available so thank you for allowing me to continue what I with less than a year subscription.
Predatory Subscription Practice
Very important to know that this app has predatory subscription practices. You have to sign up for a subscription to test the app under the guise of a 7 day free trial. I sent an email less than 24 hours after download as it did not work for my project. They went ahead and processed the entire 1 year subscription and refuse a refund for an app I will not even use. You cannot cancel from the app on your phone, they did not send any reminder emails that they were going to charge at the end of 7 days and I assumed the cancellation was processed with my email.
Idk
Sooo I was joining a pod cast with my friends but every time I join I get kicked out
Ineffective App & Website App
I tried using the app to record a guest but I kept getting a bug. Then I used the desktop app to invite and record the episode, which was 2 hours, but my episode has been stuck at 0% upload for 2 days now. I’m giving it 2 stars because the suite of tools is good, but if I can’t even get the episode uploaded then that’s moot. I’ll revise this review if the problem gets resolved
Was a good app
So this was a great app until I decided to also video record my episodes since I do upload them to YouTube but when I finish recording it takes HOIRS UPON HOURS to upload. I don’t have time for that! Most times I record before I go to work so then after work I can edit! This app just does not do well for video recording and I BERY disappointed because I have done a lot of editing. It’s great if you already have a video recorded and put in a flash drive but recording from the app and having to wait for it to upload so I can edit it on desktop is not worth the HOURS UPON HOIRS. Plus I have to keep my phone open the ENTIRE time!?? Did this Podcastle and you will have a great app!
XXX
HELL NAH U THE MAIN ATTRACTIVE IS CURSED BC UH U THE MAIN ATTRACTION LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION
Do n to sign up for free trial
Besides being utterly unusable, you will also get a surprise charge of close to 300 dollars, after canceling the free trial and customer service will refuse to refund and cancel account even when contacted same day.
Cool
Idk how to publish this
Trouble uploading
The app has only ever finished uploading my first recording everything after that is stuck at 50% upload
No analytics???
Very very basic with little to no functions. The lack of analytics to shows and episodes is a big fail.
Best AI revoice I have found
Love the app and how it pivots from podcastle to full AI voice manager api
Update to Async
Don’t know if it’s a bug or glitch or what but when I updated, none of the buttons (forward, close, pause, etc) will work. As of right this second this app is unusable.
Thanks
I had problems with my payment being shown so I had full access to podcastle and it was sorted out eventually. Thanks.
Love the Web version, but the app is pretty useless to me
I use Podcastle for a few of my podcast and I love the way the website works. I don’t seem to have any of that same functionality on the app rendering it useless to me. I hope they bring some of that functionality to the app.
Good meh
Its good, the sound is really good BUT IT TAKES A YEAR TO DOWNLOAD the audio, just THE audio. Jeez! And I have fast wifi, my iPhone died downloading those GBs of audio
This is great
This app is really great. Me and my friends really wanted to start a podcast and it started really good. It was really good but I think they should add it to maybe more people should be able to do it like me and my friends I had three friends who wanted to play do it and we tried, but it didn’t allow three peoplebut overall it it’s great. I love this app. I think I would use it in the future and start my own podcast
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!
HORIBLE APP ON WEBSITE IT SAYS I CAN EDIT A RECORDING I DOWNLOAD APP & CANT EDIT ANY AUDIO !!!
App not working
It’s not working for some reason it says that I need to update it but when I try it says open app so idk why it’s not working?
Unfortunate
This app/website could be amazing if they could figure out how to make sure the audio uploads. We’ve had 3 major recording sessions where the audio only uploads a certain percentage of the recording. Their customer service support is not very knowledgeable or helpful to issues.
Can I Import Audio?
I’ve been researching different apps to help get me started with my own podcast and this one seemed to have some good things about it from what I’ve seen. However, there’s only one problem: I found a better recording app that I want to use. So far I haven’t been able to figure out how to import audio already recorded and proceed from there. 😅 Any ideas, concerns, suggestions?
Great app for recording podcasts remotely
Works well for recording podcasts directly from your phohne.
Run away.
Just read the reviews before you even try it, I should have. I signed up for a free trial that would end up with a year subscrition of the pro plan ($280). While I was out of state I got the notification email that the trial was going to end so I downloaded the app and tried to cancel, and it told me to go to the site so using my phone I go to the site and there is nowhere to cancel. When I got back I had been charged the year fee and I emailed them. They got back to me saying there are no refunds, and since I signed up on a laptop I'd have to cancel using a laptop. I said it is 2025, what company makes you do this and makes it so you can't cancel on your phone?! They agreed to give me a partial refund after I complained and said "As an exception, we will retain one month’s subscription fee along with the processing fee, and refund the rest." This ended up costing me $50. I went to login again under the impression that with that $50 I'd at least have a 1 month pro membership, but no. They got back to me saying it's just a fee, that it did not get me any month membership. So they have taken $50 and I got nothing out of it. This made them seem pretty desperate for money, and pretty terrible customer service policies.
Can’t edit.
I like the app but I can’t do anything but record. Even when I log in through the internet to see if I can edit my podcast it says open app. But the app doesn’t let me edit at all….
New
I’m a little lost on how to find / publish a recording. I know I will figure it out but I feel like it could be easier. I will turn to YouTube. I’m trying from Phone because I am away from my home office and computer. Maybe it will be easier from a laptop verse my IPhone 14 promax
All cigars with your host Woodrow Woody Woods
Iv always wanted to have a cigar pod cast and this one with the help of the group its great.
Extremely confusing
I’m sitting here trying to record a personal GoFundMe video and I consider myself of average intelligence may be a little bit more, but I’m finding the use of this tool perplexing
Shuremic
Shureic cuts in and out
force closes during recordings
i have tried several other apps to record my audio/video podcast on, and none of them worked properly for me. i tried Podcastle for the first time with a panel of guests on video, and we had nothing but technical issues with the app kicking us out. i have lost a lot of content, because of this issue. i was using the free version with the intent to purchase if this app worked out for me, but now i am going to have to find a new app. This app has great potential, just a lot of bugs Update 10/25/23 I recently paid for the subscription thinking that the forceclosing issue was going to stop. Tonight I tried to record an episode for my podcast and the app kept closing in the middle of recording. I think for the amount of money that I am spending on the app it should work. I tried reaching out to the developer, but the website that they have listed doesn't work.
Loving Podcastle!
Loving how easy and user-friendly Podcastle is! Making this experience of starting a podcast attainable and fun! Thank you Podcastle!!
Waste of Money
do not waste your money, buy something else. This is impossible to use, and there is absolutely 0.0 zero customer service. I tried for weeks to get in touch with someone to know avail. Why waste your money why be frustrated just by someone else's product
Why does it keep asking me to update?
Hi there, I can’t seem to use your product. It keeps telling me to update but when it takes me to the apps store there is no update. I’ve just downloaded it as well so I can’t understand what’s going on
So nervous
I’ve been so excited to use this software. I have gigabit 800/up/down mps speeds and my guests recording uploaded fine. At the end of our hour long perfect best interview ever, my audio track has failed to upload. This makes me so incredibly nervous to use again.
Podacastle
Super easy to use
Garbage
Garbage
Confusing
The app is good, but when it comes to trying to edit or merge recordings thats the biggest issue. Not sure if you have to subscribe before being able to merge audios together or not but theres literally nowhere to be able to crop or merge an audio. As soon as you leave a recording, another one begins thats a completely different category from your original recording. Its soooo annoying and seriously has been holding me back from submitting my project to my class. Its literally the last thing that I need to do. Pathetic really.
Cost effective way to produce top quality podcast + content
I’ve been pleased with this as I launched my podcast and have continued to use it with success. Not only can I record my podcast remotely with or without video, I can edit my 20-minute format podcast in 30-60 minutes, I can download a transcript from it, cut short videos for my YouTube channel, and have my entire podcast process for the week done in a couple of hours total. I haven’t seen any other software compare. I have the Storyteller level subscription and am able to consistently produce my podcast at that level of subscription with plenty of leeway left in my subscription. Support team is also excellent. This is a newer software so as they add features there are little issues sometimes but they always resolve them and the new features are impressive every time. Keep it up guys 👏🏻
False advertising?????
Things don’t seem to be as advertised on your website. Some things are talked about as being able to be done, video recording, but not explained that video podcasts are are transmitted to podcast platforms. Found this out after recording one. Not a happy camper.
Help?
How do I make a project on mobile? I can only make a podcast.
Best one so far
I have been surfing from app to app. This one worked the best for me. It's easy and the quality of the recorded video was a lit, although internet connection wasnt the best at the time.
Foul
Totally disappointed
Audio Quality
I did a test podcasts the audio quality wasn't his at all. Static and housing. I used an iPhone 11Max.
