Way too many ads now
I love to scroll on this app when I have my social media bricked. I used to use it a ton a couple months ago and the ads were totally tolerable. I’d expect one after I viewed a pattern I’d bought and then some other random ones. But now in the span of 10 minutes i’ll get 3 or 4 ads when I’m just browsing. It’s making me was to spend a lot less time on it. Please change this back to the way it was.
Top Tier Ravelry Companion
I downloaded kntd probably a year and a half ago and I’ve used it religiously ever since. It’s the perfect way to have quick access to all the patterns in my library on-the-go. I love being able to connect on the forums and find specific patterns when I have them in mind. One thing I will say is that I still use ravelry on my browser when I’m doing advanced searches for patterns based on specifications for yarn I have on hand. The search function on this app is a fair amount more limited than ravelry.com. All that said, I’m more than happy to pay a small yearly fee for such ease of access to the patterns I use every day.
AI Art
Deleted this app the second I opened it the first time and saw the AI art on the loading page.
Ravelry: better than nothing at all
It’s a little awkward where they have things, but it’s better than not having an app. Need to put in an entry for hook size when doing a new project.
New updates took a turn for the worse
The app has been reorganized in a totally inefficient and non-intuitive way. It’s difficult to get to notebook pages (e.g., favorites page, which I use a lot). Missing some functionality, like creating a new bundle in favorites. More importantly, the full-page ad popups make the app practically unusable. They stay up for varying lengths of time and don’t have a standard close button; many employ “dark patterns” like using a fake X button that actually opens the page being advertised. I understand that apps cost money to develop and maintain, and I wouldn’t have minded smaller ads or popups that are easier to close, but this particular ad design choice feels predatory. I will not be giving this developer any money and am instead switching to Ravit.
Kinda ok
Nice aesthetic, automatically imports your data from Ravelry; patterns and yarn stash. The layout for scrolling through your patterns/ stash is really nice when compared to Ravelry 🤮No way to import patterns you own. I did not see a stripe or pattern generator nor a row counter.
Love App
I enjoy this app for inspirational reasons. It also keeps me in tune with all the new designs and designers
Updates
Recent update is horrible. Took away ability to see pattern details in the app (basic things like # of colors, recommended yarn, fiber type and more). I now have to open the web browser on my phone to learn anything useful about a pattern I’m considering. Please fix this!
Mending
I love this apps organisation by being able to label projects as finished, hibernating and work in progress. I would love to suggest the addition of a “mending” status so that I can organise which ones of my knits are currently needing to be altered/mended.
App is nice but AI sucks
The AI art when you first open the app is unnecessary and ironic for an app showcasing people's art and craft. The rest of the app seems nice enough

Pls help me app support! Anytime I get a pattern and click go to pattern it doesn’t do anything! And then I click the little refresh button in the corner and still, nothing happens . So I go into my library to see if I can access it from there and nothing shows up! Pls help meeeeee ! 🥺🥺

Found a pattern I loved to find out it was written poorly and would like the app to feature a search function where I can see designers I do like and less of poorly written patterns.

Love this app! If you use Ravelry or want patterns for knitting/crocheting this is it! The UX design is great! It so easy to search different patterns and yarns and favorite things I want to circle back to. They update it all the time too and are constantly improving it. I love it.

Decent, but too many ads
This app is a nice way to access your Ravelry account. It’s easy to search for patterns and inspiration with nice filters. The biggest drawback is the amount of ads that cannot be closed or skipped. The app is nice for convenience on your phone or tablet, but if I am home and near my computer, I now always choose the laptop/website over this app. The ads are too incessant.
Easy to use for beginners
Came across this app recommended in a fb group and it was not talked about much and not people use it and I don’t know because as a beginner it’s a lifesaver and keeps me on top of my WIPS
Don’t download this
I tried putting up with the free version of this app for a few days despite the constant randomly mixed in ads and then have giant pop ups blocking your screen you can’t close for an allotted time with low quality videos trying to sell you Adobe. They want a subscription fee of $6/year to make the app useable. Save yourself the hassle and buy Ravit for $5 one time and get rid of all the ads with a cleaner interface
Worth it but one feature request
Very useful to have a solid Ravelry companion - I’ve tried others and this is the best so far. Only £6 for the year - I can do that. The one feature I wish there was is filtering or sorting projects in the notebook by started/finished/frogged etc - so that I can have my in progress projects at the top of the scroll, to update them more easily. As someone who mostly uses this for the notebook, it would be really handy!
Ads
The amount of ads has gotten crazy, it’s one thing if they are on just a portion of the screen as you scroll but the screen is completely overtaken with the ad & it’s up forever before you can finally exit out & they have become so frequent that the app is borderline unusable, every other click you get an ad. Ads were not as frequent when I first got the app but now I am inundated with constant ads, I swear when I open this app I spend more time faced with an ad than I do looking at the actual user generated content. The actual Ravelry website doesn’t have ads so I’m so confused on how this app has so many.
Frustration
I get frustrated by the injection of ads, for sure and am finding it much slower to find what I’m looking for as compared to the old Ravelry. The idea that it had to be made a political football is very distressing. Having said that, at least there is somewhere to search for ideas.

This is a direct link to Ravalry. There is no AI slop there. I swear by this app and the Ravelry website.
AI Generated
It’s so ironic that someone who developed an app for artists and creatives would use AI generated images in all the marketing and icons. In the ‘art’ of the woman ‘knitting’ she has a third needle sticking out of her arm and four fingers. It’s clear whoever made this doesn’t care for the community and is just trying to monetize whatever they can. If you’re going to cater with artists, the bare minimum you can do is respect the craft enough to hire someone to create your images. It’s pure laziness.

Decent
This app is pretty decent when it comes to accessing your Ravelry account. Some things lack clarity though, like accessing previous purchases or downloading a free pattern (you click on the word “free” for the latter). The reason for my poor rating is the subscription format. Charging me monthly or yearly for this app is obscene. I don’t necessarily need a mobile app to access Ravelry. The ads are plain awful as well. A lot of people are now using these types of apps now because of Ravelry’s accessibility issues. It seems wrong to capitalize off of this to such an extent. I’d rather pay a one-time purchase fee if it’s really that serious. I’ll be looking for an alternative.
Really great app except for the ads
The app becomes unusable at times due to the ads redirecting out of the app and locking you out. If you get premium, the app is really useful and one of my favorites. Turns Ravelry into a social media type of browsing which I love! There doesn’t seem to be a way to visit designer profiles or view your favorites designers. Just wish the ads weren’t so annoying if you don’t pay for the app. It feels almost involuntary.

It tricks you to Pay for Subscription the first you use the app. Better to have two apps. F One free where you can test and one app that costs money. Lacks a lot of the search features I use every day when searching for Ravelry patterns.

Works but uses ai “art”, even for something small it’s disappointing to see on an app meant for creatives. It would cost less than $100 to get an artist to make those for you

WHY THE USE OF AI GENERATED SLOP?!?
I just downloaded the app and I instantly noticed the terrible ai generated images during the introduction and sign up process. You have so many talented artists that could’ve made actual artwork and ui for your app and ai is what you choose. Come on!! In a community based off of human creativity and talent this is disappointing.

This isn’t a bad App, it’s fab for seeing your library but not essential as logging into ravelry isn’t that hard. What I think would make it amazing would be if you could list your yarn stash - you can add stash on your ravelry account. Not sure I will continue after the free trial, If there was an option to list / store / select / use your yarn that would be better and I would subscribe
Pop up ads irritating
The app is fine but I didn’t expect the pop up ads. I wouldn’t use this app because of the pop ups.
This app has ruined my revelry experience
I can’t even operate ravelry on my laptop because it’s not as intuitive as this app, so thank you for that!!! And just pay to get rid of apps. You won’t regret it. And you have no idea what goes behind all the developers work. That’s the least we can do 🥲
So many missing features
Can’t buy patterns thru the app. It takes you to the webpage to purchase. Can’t follow or like designers. Can’t add friends. Tried to search my friend and nothing came up (yes I had her username right) Can’t organize your favourites into folders. Can’t update your profile picture. It’s good for browsing patterns and viewing your purchased patterns but that’s about it.
Bountiful App
As a collection of patterns, free and paid, this app delivers the goods. A search produces many patterns under the parameters used. I highly recommend using this app.
Helpful but has bugs
Would give this more stars if I could remove things from my library, currently have duplicates of the same items with no way to remove them. Other than that it works well.
