Awful game/awful people
The game itself is awful and glitchy. Every single update makes it worse. Red dots that lead to and nowhere constant disconnecting. You can play an entire season and not once hatch an ant that’s newer than season 2 or 3. This game attracts the worst sort of people. Sociopaths and egomaniacs that drop 30 grand on their favorite ant hobby.
Good but could use improvements
So I think that you should add like a save file for right before your anthill falls and please make a trading post where you can trade stuff to get ant coins. And don’t get me wrong very addictive game first day I played it I was on for 9 and a half hours. But having that little save file might help people keep the game but you only get one each anthill that falls so basically a game over life like here’s one more chance to keep this going. But yeah great game overall but a bigger ui would be dope for the resources ui.
Always syncing out and reset loading that is slow
Why i dont know but this game always has to reset and load which is super slow its 2026 come on! Both on android and iphone
Cool game but absurd in-app purchase requirements
I’ve enjoyed playing this game very much, but it’s so frustrating how many things are locked behind in-app purchases. You can’t even participate in some events without purchasing specific things for the event. Very frustrating.
Great game
This is an amazing game and it had no adds which is really uncommon for a free game. I play this game all the time but I’ve been trying to get the orange special ants like slim arched and bullet ant and I don’t think it’s possible to get them in the supreme hatch anymore. If you could just add those as something you can get from the supreme hatch along with the season ants that is my only suggestion.
I couldn’t get into the game
When I got his game I was happy because I never had a bug game before so I loaded the app and when it finally finished loading it told me the notifications and I said yes then when it was loading it just kick me out and I tried it again and again but it was still kicking me out of the game so ONE star
Don’t like joining a guild to have progress into the storyline
The game is pretty nice, and I love the controls, and I love commanding ants. I am docking one star because the game forces you to join a guild to progress into the story line, and I like doing stuff on my own. Make the have to join a guild to progress into the story line optional for a award. overall pretty nice experience

I really tried to enjoy this game, but it felt like I accidentally downloaded a prototype from the 1600s. The graphics are painfully outdated, the animations are rough, and the whole experience feels unfinished. I wanted to like it, but the visuals alone made me uninstall. Even the ants deserved better.

I think this game is really fun and also really simple to play I really think this game is nice 10/10 would recommend.
VERY UNFAIR GAME
There is no fairness in this game. They have an event called “New Beginning”, but there is no proper restriction to keep new zones balanced. I am in a new zone and the ant king didn’t know how the migration works, so he let a bunch of people from earlier zones come in and it created a huge gap in power. There is no realistic way for newer player to catch up. A game should reward strategy and progression, not create impossible situations where newer zones are dominated so early in the game. You know what i think? They do this so next migration, you spend alot of money to transfer OR YOU SPEND ALOT OF MONEY TO CATCH UP with the power gap but there is no way I am spending $1000 to catch up as the gap is 5 million vs a 30 million anthill power. THIS IS GOING TO DESTROY THIS GAME.

Tutorial Too Long
Why did I have to wait so long to play the game on my own? Instead of being able to make my own decisions, I had to click each and every thing that was suggested for a long time at the beginning. I would have much preferred a help or info button if I needed help instead of being forced to play the game a certain way.
Tutorial is killing me
Taking forever and then once I think I’m finally free the game swoops in and makes me press buttons to build a path to a new building I don’t care about, if I want to sort my base before first I should be able to, I’m backseat driving watching the game tell me how to do everything every single thing, and it makes me do it, so I can’t press any other button, not good if you want to play the game at your pace

I love this game. I hate their support. 5★ game, 1★ company.
Let me start by saying I genuinely love The Ants. The strategy, the ants, the events - when it works, it’s chef’s kiss 🐜👑 Now for the “when it works” part. The Crashes: The game has a nasty memory leak. If you’re on a phone with 2GB RAM, expect crashes every 15-20min during big events or when your mail blows up. Support’s answer? “Your phone isn’t good enough.” Except I still hit top ranks in some events on that “not good enough” phone. So maybe fix the mail system instead of blaming players? The Billing: This is where it gets ugly. I’ve been double-charged after game glitches with zero notification. I’ve been billed for “subscriptions” that didn’t even exist in the store at the time - then magically appeared later. I was gaslit by support telling me a $5 charge was for a $29.99 item. I now ONLY buy currency through the website because I don’t trust in-game purchases, and even that has failed me. Customer Service “Fairy”: If you ever have a problem and need support, good luck! You’ll get canned responses, “clear cache,” on repeat. I’ve reported bugs with screenshots and was told it’s my device. I’ve disputed billing and was told “working as intended.” They protect the game, not the player. I WANT to spend money here. I WANT to recommend this to friends. But I can’t, in good conscience, until StarUnion fixes their support and billing practices. To new players: The game itself is incredible. Just know what you’re signing up for. Screenshot everything. Don’t link your main card. And if you crash a lot, it’s not you. To StarUnion: Your players are out here ranking in the top on “unsupported” devices while you’re picking their pockets. Do better. I don’t like this game I hate this game this game has too many adds I don’t like adds, honestly. Bad i strongly dislike this game I got it yesterday for my 7th birthday but it’s bad and I can’t figure out how to get on this game. Way too instructive
The idea is great but the game has so little freedom to play. I feel like I’m playing a super long tutorial chapter by chapter. I was expecting an open world game but for ten minutes I can’t click anything else but to follow instructions. I really wanted to know what happen next so I downloaded it again after deleting it, but sadly I still don’t have the patience to go through all instructed chapters.

I did enjoy it at first but after being continually bullied it was no longer enjoyable. It drove me to quit the game and delete my account. I had high hopes for this game but it’s not worth it to me.

This is rated 5 star just so YOU and other players/potential downloads Can see: The game is rather fun at the start, while I would say the Constant tutorial is a big problem the main problem is the people, I’m sure you’ve heard it before, and not everyone is bad.. but be careful! The tutorial will FORCE you to join an alliance that is almost full and constantly online so the bad people can get to you! This happened to me and less then a minute after I was forced to join I got a message from the leader of the alliance who FIRST thing asked for my age and where I live? Absolutely not! After telling him I won’t be chatting on the alliance and after I left he still had access to me, and ended up asking once again for that same information! I don’t know what he was going to do with it but I ended up deleting the game and after reading more reviews for it I learned that that’s actually a HUGE problem, fairy/the ants player support even says they found many alliance’s made FOR farming players information and stealing, money. property etc and instead of doing anything about it just gives you a warning about them, while it may seem like: “if you do it it’s your fault” kinda thing because they warn you they are avoiding responsiblty and even though they know who’s doing it they won’t ban, kick, or give ANY penalty at all, worst of all people pray on kids and sometimes target women and harass them till they leave the game, and if you don’t give them the info they want they raid your anthills as punishment. Be careful getting this game and please click the 👍 on this review so nobody gets hurt or stolen from.

I’ve played for years
This is a great game even though heavily pay to win. But if you join a good clan you will be fine, as plenty of people who end up spending thousands of dollars will be protecting you. I played on launch and was pretty powerful, max level anthill, until I took a break. I’ll never forget the time I hatched a legendary from a standard egg.
Mid Gameplay
The game is overall mid experience. Clans are quick to rank you up and rank you down for no reason, necessary items are locked behind paywalls, most of the “rewards” are paid. The only saving grace is by the tome you are thinking about spending money, your already level 11 and have half the game unlocked. Very pay to win.
Love the game but..
I was incredibly annoyed with this game today because I got a new phone and for whatever reason I wasn’t logged into my account so the game forces you to create a new ant hill and I had to wait to get to the settings options just to switch accounts. Baffles me how a simple log in option at the beginning of the game isn’t a thought for devs
Great game but noticing flaw that could hurt older players
This game is the most enjoyable and entertaining game I have ever played honestly. The way the game is structured and styled and with relations with other player a really help make ant kingdoms a strategic game. However I have started to realize that hatching solider ants are a requirement in order to finish some events in the game. The problem is that once you hatch the solider ants you can’t get rid of them. This creates the problem of players hatching ants over and over until you start to realize that their meat output and plant output start to drop. There should be a function to decompose the solider ants to increase their meat and plant output. Otherwise if there is no function players would be force to kill there ants by fighting bosses manually and always having an annoying heal icon on your screen. Thank you to whomever is reading this and feature thanks for fixing the problem.

Gameplay affected by inappropriate content/behavior
Game can be excellent, until you get a big spender who can then bully and promote adult website with impunity on this game with children. The high spender can then talk about his OF and other inappropriate content and admit cheating with outside game resource buy/sell. Reporting to the game moderation will lead to no action with a loop of "we will be checking" to all reports from different players. That's why I won't send an email to usual email shared here: it bears no fruit to report. Unfortunately, that now makes for a toxic gameplay and affects my spending as, despite the quality of the game, I am close to leaving like quite a few players on my server. For these reasons, I believe a 9yo+ classification is not appropriate until bullying, cheating and adult content becomes unacceptable by moderators.

My second account from this years is through apple and I have 263,563 power. But my feedback is that it would be nice if I can station special ants that help garrison ant hill to help with invasions just in case.

It’s just too complicated. I thought an alliance would help but got kicked out because I didn’t have some other app. Deleted, I don’t have time for something so confusing.
Poor value for paying players
Update (rating adjusted to 3 stars): Thank you for the response, but my concern is not about randomness alone. The issue is value and longevity. Paid ants marketed as premium lose relevance very quickly—often within months—while free seasonal ants frequently match or exceed their performance. When players spend hundreds of dollars on a single ant, that investment should retain meaningful utility beyond a short cycle. Spending close to $900 on a 7-star ant only for it to become irrelevant shortly after is frustrating and discouraging. This is a design and balance issue, not a luck issue. Eggs are also poor value. After heavy spending, I received nothing meaningful, while some F2P players appear to obtain multiple seasonal ants with no spending at all. The return on investment feels inconsistent. After playing as both F2P and P2W, progression feels skewed toward whales and Discord-connected F2P insiders. Mid-spenders should think carefully before investing.

This game uses false advertisement to attack player and most of all are pay 2 win players On top of that they don’t do anything against cyber bullying the only answer you get from there customer service is: “Sorry, fairy can not intervene in the matter between players” If someone tell you that there is a problem you should look into it and take action not bury your head in the sand as if the issue is not real Update 17/09/23: The game has been damaged by all the player that use money to get stronger, it’s been 2 weeks now that I’m reporting messages that clearly show that some player are bullying other and yet the answer from customer service is we will look into it, a game that is supposed to be fun and also welcoming is now full of toxicity and it start from the customer service people on discord down to the asian players Dear Dev, don’t bother to come with your standard response - just focus on your community and not the money that you can milk the players for.
Complicated
So IN MY opinion. Mine I said so all of the people who like this game don’t get mad at me. Anyways, when you start off in the game I found it a little bit complicated but as I went on it got slightly easier. Honestly though I’m giving it a 3 star rating since I don’t understand how suddenly you get all these creatures and things in your den. I want more outside parts given to it because being in your hole/whatever you want to call it can be a little boring?
