Great for CrossFit gyms!
We use this app to display wods, input individual athlete scores, work off of percentages, display announcements and leaderboard, process payments and sell merch! It’s a great app to cover everything you need in a gym. User friendly for both the owner and the athlete!
Not user friendly
I can’t believe Wodify has so many good reviews. After coming from a gym that uses Beyond the Whiteboard, I find Wodify a terrible experience. Here are examples: 1. You can’t modify a workout to accurately reflect your scaling. 2. You can’t log a workout unless you are enrolled in a class. So, if I go to open gym and do the workout, I can’t log it. Why would an app limit user engagement: mystifying.
Generally good
Good but often buggy
Clunky Client Interface
I’ve been using wodify as a client for almost a year and a half. 98% of the time it works fine but when I try to use the custom features I run into issues. I created a custom workout and accidentally selected the wrong measurement and now I can’t change it. I’ve tried deleting the workout I recorded but it persists. I also tried looking at the FAQ online and there’s no instruction how to delete or modify a custom workout. I tried signing on to the website and it won’t let me login through the browser. The interface leaves much to be desired and I would definitely tell my gym to look into other apps because I know I’m not the only client who has a lot of gripes with wodify.
Good app
I really appreciate the improvements made the modify app. However, at this point the game with apps and all the apps connect and talk to each other and share data. It’s really too bad that you can’t get your Wi-Fi app to sync up with your other health app.
New to wodify
Started Wodify about two months ago. I program for semi-private sessions up to four people. Their reservation system is unmatched. Very smooth user interface. Lots of filters, lots of options to customize memberships, policies, rules and how the app operates which is awesome! I can tell they have a lot of experience because it looks like they have Corinne’s to develop the app and provide more and more flexibility. I transitioned from SugarWOD and zen planner. Wodify was a game changer. I think zen planner had a more rapid customer service for quick questions on the app but overall wodify has surpassed my expectations. The programming is pretty good. Im heavy into the programming is the workouts and so far it does its job. I don’t know if this is possible but if they could set up exercises in a superset format that would be another great design feature. Maybe they have it, i just haven’t found it. Love the app.
Horrible
Such a horrible, slow, clunky app.
Easy on the eyes
In early morning hours, when I’m checking the daily dose of torture pondering why, at least my eyes aren’t strained
Slow and clunky
Besides being quite slow, which even to a server is still slow… the UX is not great, as the navigation needs significant improvements (it’s hard to find what the wod details are. It jumps to different spots without me wanting it to, like ghost clicking / scrolling is enabled (only in this app), and making a reservation could be so much simpler. Been using this for a few years and I think you should take a look at something like sugarWOD for some inspiration, or do a UX feedback survey).
Cancel button
The “cancel reservation”button and the “sign in” button are next to each other- leading to unintentional cancellations. Can you separate them please
Great app!
Wodify does everything I need it to. They are also extremely responsive and helpful. I would absolutely recommend it if you’re thinking about using the app for your gym. Also very user friendly
Consistently buggy
Throughout years of having this app it’s always had some bug… freeze/close, stuck loading, screens stuck off page when swiping… and currently the back button does not work! Every journey through the app is one way! I’m honestly perplexed at the overall rating because if you asked me cold the worst app I have it’s without a doubt this one.
Bring back traditional colors
Great app no bugs essentially ever but can we please bring back the old color schemes!! Disliking the new updated logo and colors
Please fix load time
Clunky, slow, frustrating steps to get to what you want. Please do some serious work
Freezes
I like this app as it is helpful, however I don’t like the frequency of freezing and partial functionality that requires me to delete and redownload the app and ré-enter email & password. That is a major drag, especially when trying to add results.
Redline
Coaches are first class.
back button
fix your back button
Great app just needs this
I would suggest to the developers that on the “results” feature to add what time of day that the result was done.
Extremely slow to open
App is painfully slow to open, very frustrating
Not great
Can’t access announcement option selection, or payment info in app. Web portal doesn’t allow access either. Could be better
Love it.
Functional and easy to manage schedules and personal records.
Pretty bad
I’m not sure how this app is rated so high? I have nothing but issues. Half the time the back button doesn’t work and I get stuck on screens. The app is clearly a hybrid app that wasn’t written directly for iOS. The content of the app is great, but the execution is absolutely terrible. Hire a native developer to make your app worth a darn! Switching tabs or going to a screen in faction reset everything.
UI could be improved
Overall a good app, however the profile pic Ui element is broken. Regardless of the aspect ratio of the picture you upload, it stretches the photo in the element weirdly.
Slowest app I’ve ever used
Such a simple app shouldn’t be so slow.
Useful, but still the slowest app on my iPhone.
I use my Worify app almost daily, and can’t live without it. That said, it’s consistently the slowest app to load up and show information, sometimes taking 20-30 seconds to show information on the first screen. It is good to see new features appear as the years progress. So it’s not as if the developers asleep doing nothing. Please improve load time 🙏
Great for gym scheduling!
This app makes it super easy and streamlined to do anything I need to do in my new CrossFit gym. I book classes, saunas, and cold plunges with it, and I can see who else will be in my classes.
Needs work, bad.
This app needs some serious help. Laggy, bugs kicks you out, and doesn’t have a nice user interface to see your past history.
Almost perfect
Love the simplicity of logging with my gym or at home. Only thing I wish was different: I wish I could search with a key word to find a wod or specific movement. I feel like I should be able to search for a word and find any wod where the word appears. It would make referencing previous workouts much easier.
So many issues
Only had this app for 2 weeks It completely stopped working last Monday. I had to uninstall it and reinstall. Today, just loads of error messages about not connecting to the server 🙄 I just want to be able to book onto my classes. Why is that so hard?
Great app! Please add a dark mode app icon though!
Great reliable app for my gym. Please just add a dark mode icon for iOS 18 though. It's the only app on my homescreen that doesn't have a dark icon.
Awesome!
I’ve been doing CrossFit for almost 11 years now and I use this wonderful app every day!! Very useful and easy to use!
Does a lot of things, but none of them well
This could be an incredible app if they would focus on improved UI and load speed for chat. Chat is near impossible to use taking 10+ seconds to load. But they have a new icon! SMH
Make WOD great !!
Perfect to log your scores and track history of what you did. Love it so far!!
Bring back old calendar function
Why would you make it more steps to add a class to my calendar? At least have the option to have it automatically add to iOS calendar.
Decent but needs improvement
First thing that needs to go is the double sign in. If I reserve a class, that should be it. Maybe other gyms have no-show issues but I’ve been charged for failing to sign-in despite being in the class. It’s not always checked by the coach. Make it optional for the gym and send notifications. It’s hassle for something that shouldn’t be and a bit of a dark pattern. Previous gym used Mindbody and it wasn’t ever an issue.
Awesome
Easy to use, lots of helpful features
Exact Problem with software / apps now
initially a great product simple to use and to the point. however with add ons and update app has gotten worse and strayed from the core idea. all these add on and tracking isn't what was the intended use. straying from the point and hurts the customer experience
Great App So Far…Except One Thing
This app has been great for my workouts…but I can’t have a profile picture.
Calendar integration is really bad
The calendar integration update passes all the integration work to the client. You cover an email with an invite when both google and Apple offer native calendar integration specifically for ease of use. This was not a good update or one that makes the life of the user easier. Just not effective. I stopped using that function because of the amount of work it requires and just enter my sessions in calendar myself. You guys should update your app description regarding the calendar integration you actually provide because what is there now became a 10 step process. You current feature list is no longer accurate
White screen fox
If you guys get the white screen just clear your internets cache in the history settings of your internet
Encourages Community
I love how this app encourages community! For example, the pictures next to the names of people who sign in help me learn the names of the people I’ll be working out with! I also love how it shows who’s celebrating a birthday on a particular day and who has a birthday coming up! If someone is celebrating a birthday on the day I sign in for a class and the person with the birthday signs in too, there’s a little cupcake with a candle next to the person’s name!
Useless app and support
Looks like they didn’t like my last 1-star review and I’m bored so here’s another one! Useless company and app support.
I wish it could be installed in the Apple Watch too!
Thanks :)
Backwards step in last update
The recent calendar emails update seems like a massive backward step. All the gym sessions I booked prior to this update got automatically added to my calendar. Now I have to manually add each one from the email sent and my inbox fills up with unnecessary emails. It’s good to see support added for non Google or iCloud calendar users. But this should have been an extra, not an instead of. Would have liked to contact Wodify about this rather than leave a review because generally it seems like a decent app. Not sure what the devs were thinking here. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be anywhere for gym users (the main users of the app) to get in touch.
Wish there was gifs
The apps not bad, allows you to comment on others performance but wishing it allowed to add gifs to the comments as I found using other apps it seems to add to the message and increase the overall experience of community building.
Great app
Very user friendly and easy to use
No Calendar Sync
It’s frustrating that an app designed primarily for booking and scheduling classes still doesn’t offer a proper calendar sync. Relying on emailed iCal files is not a real solution when so many other apps integrate seamlessly with phone calendars. I’ve even reached out to the company requesting this feature, yet instead of addressing it, they rolled out an update to display personal records on their internal calendar, something far less useful. Competing fitness management apps already provide direct calendar sync, so it’s disappointing that Wodify continues to fall short in this basic functionality.
Great app
This is a great app, however at times it is down.
iPad version
No IPad version. I do not see the usability improvement with this app
Nombre de personnes inscrites
J’aimerais bien savoir le nombre de personnes inscrites au moment de l’inscription au wod du gym. Merci!!
