Amazing app! Blender support needed.
I love using Naomi, all the features are easy to use and the model import system is okay, (though I wish there was a way to fix models missing textures,) though my biggest suggestion is to add Blender model import support into the app!
Can’t even start
If you try to make an animation without spending money there is NO models you can animate with! I never would use this even with a model 24$ for a NON REAL ITEM!!!!
Problem
Naomi Animation Review I really want to like Naomi Animation, but I’m having a very frustrating problem with the Camera Node. The guide/line overlays will disappear in the normal viewport, but when I go into the Camera Node, they are still there, and I cannot figure out how to remove them. I’ve tried different settings, restarting the app, and looking through tutorials, but nothing has fixed it. I also pay for Naomi Premium, so I would really appreciate some support with this. Naomi developers, please reply to this review or contact me with instructions so we can fix this problem. I’m happy to explain exactly what is happening or provide screenshots. I really want to keep using the app, but I need help getting the Camera Node to work properly.
I don’t really like it.
Hi, I just got this app and I’m trying to generate an image because sketchfab won’t work! And then I try to do it, I need to buy “credits.” Dude. Why can’t I just be able to generate an image WITHOUT spending money? On top of that I need credits for a rig too!?!?!?!?! Ridiculous! Anyways this is two stars. I hope you remove the credits it’s really annoying that I have to buy them

This application shows potential
As with any application, and with this one more than others, it’s easy to find personal dissatisfaction from functions within. However after considering the character of this application, it has shown itself to be different from others similar in nature. Myself and some can find discontent in bugs, crashes, imperfect interface, and pricing. Nonetheless, within good reason these issues can be explained from a developers perspective. Considering an application of similar nature does not exist yet on the Apple Store, we can assume a great difficulty in development. Bugs and crashes will happen and should not be held against if resolved in a timely manner. Pricing is also a reasonable expectation for the exchange of effort put into this application. Functions can be tested without paying and the price is reasonable. And lastly the interface, although extensive and inevitably difficult at times, has been made through reasonable assumptions for ease of the average user. The care and character of those developing this application also needs to be addressed. Updates happen regularly, comments are acknowledged and general improvement has been taking place consistently. Despite poor reviews, I see only good things to come!

Subscription not working
I love this app, it’s really helpful, but recently, it’s been forgetting that I have a subscription, I am subscribed to it meaning that I should be able to import more models, and I have and I’ve been animating with them, but for some reason today it won’t let me import anymore. It is telling me I need to subscription, even though I already have one.
Very hard to use
The design of the app isn't simple at all and it feels kind of old. And everything is just complicated and unusual. I've tried so hard to like this app but it's just not good and I really hope they see this and change to be more modern and add things that we are used to seeing

Not beginner friendly at all. They don’t even give you a tutorial or anything. And also the movements are just not it. I was trying to be patient with this app because I saw people animating on it but it’s just so bad
Naomi is okay, but…
Hi! Naomi is a great app. I love its features and utilities. It makes animation a smooth process overall. I’m right now curious as to why I can’t go beyond 100 frames on the free version. Is there a bug or limit causing this? Please and thank you.

It was a little bit hard. It had a little bit of difficulties when I use nomad scope it’s just it’s a little bit hard.

I want so bad to like it, but so far I’ve not been able to complete rigging an asset in gltf format. I can get to the Control Rig step and the progress bar gets about halfway, stops, and dies…
It’s fine by me
This is a far from perfect 3D animation software but it’s fine I think all it needs is an improved scrolling option I originate froze the Geometry Dash Level Editor and you don’t have to scroll with two fingers there or it’s just me being absolutely terrible at scrolling side to side but yea that’s my only complaint FOR NOW but yea it very good thanks for making devs!
You GOTTA up your game
I do not recommend this. It will only let you have 3 projects at a time٫ and the keyframes have basically no graphing options.
Hard to use T_T
It’s cool n all b it it’s hard to use if only there was more simpler buttons n stuff to make, animate, import, export, ect. Please, it would do me a favor.
Still learn learning
I am really amazed at this, and I am still learning. But it has a cam mode that you can put out of your 3D animation or model IRL. Has face tracking also.Has no subscription but you can upgrade and get more things. But it is free tho. This the best one I seen, you should see it and learn it!

I’m not sure about it
So I’ve been doing this for a while and (it could be because I’m a noob) but I’m having a hard time like setting up terrain and other features. There isn’t a tutorial for it and I’m just awful at doing much.
So lost also add rigging
I want to like this app but I’m so lost what do l. I’m looking up the tutorial and listening to them but still confused. Also when I look at the YouTube video it shows like a sheer rigging on the character but to don’t see it I don’t know if it’s only available on iPad but I’m using my iPhone and would like to have the option to move the parts of my character like that.

Awful just awful Not good at all
Was looking for an alternative that might be more convenient then jumping into blender since I’d have to use my computer vs my iPad since I use it as my main device and I have more control over a touch screen due to physical health issues Issues >no textures are transferred over >rigging doesn’t transfer over, it act like it does but you can’t move anything or rotate anything, not even a rotation sphere.. It’s unfortunate, people were acting like this app was the next step for doing 3d solely on ipad but zero basic functionality.. I wasn’t expecting blender quality at all obviously but at least something bare minimum I hope it changes one day, thankful I have at least have a laptop for blender.. yikes

OK, so this definitely deserves a better review, but there’s one serious problem. The problem is that when you have the free version, you can only make a limited amount of projects. That’s very annoying. I have two solutions. Solution number one: You can get Naomi pro by paying for it once. It will probably get more users for Naomi and will help old users. Solution number two: You can make infinite projects in the free version. That will make people with the free version happier and there could still be a monthly subscription! I hope you respond.

You probably know that I have already made one suggestion, but I have one thing, and it’s easy just allow a export with the free plan, you don’t have to be able to remove the watermark or anything like that, but I think you should at least let us export, that’s my only suggestion and again, great app!

Almost useful
The app has a lot of potential but it simply lacks setting to be able to do anything. Main one I encountered is there’s no way to scale the size of effectors to control models. So on some models it’s basically impossible to select certain sections to pose.

The reason for one star is because of the conflict with clip Studio paint. Causes an FBX import problem with clip Studio paint. Where it will no longer import FBX files. Makes all FBX FILES unavailable for downloading into clip Studio paint! Only solution for fixing this was to delete the app. Naomi Animation. As for now your app is off limits for me. I have heard from the developers they are very nice people and I’m sure their app is very nice if I could Use it. I have also contacted Clip Studio support and forwarded their message to me about their abilities to fix this or not. I hope all gets resolved when it does. I’ll be back to give it more stars if it works for me.
Bruh will you add physics and post and improve lighting to like post processing also effect making
This app is awesome love the new version but I wish there was a physics feature with like cloth physics or bone physics and also improve the lighting to like post processing and update the shadows and a bone rigging feature also try to add ray tracing or path and add more to the camera feature and I want a hue slider and way more effects to lighting like bloom as also non camera feature and a particle creator to make fur and more… and a shader maker I hope this app can be a lot like blender big potential!

Advantages/Disadvantages
This doesn’t handle joints/skeletons.. you can import a model that has a bone rig (bendable fingers/legs/hands, etc) and it wont work, You make to move parts by their individual polygon, and that is very hard to do on a small phone screen, and it doesn’t help that you can only zoom in so far before you are forced to zoom out or else you cant control the camera anymore. The rotation could probably be a lot better, but it was poorly done (only allowing you to input a number to turn a part, instead of having a button to switch to rotate/scale/move), Also, I’m not sure if i just missed it or not, but there seems to be no delete or duplicate button. The moving axis seems to work alright, importing works besides the bones, the inly issue with importing is that if the textures for a model are too much, it will completely lower the poly count of the model in favour of the textures, not sure if thats for everyone, or just me.

As a beginner it gets a bit overwhelming to understand the app. But hey join their discord group and they’ll help you fix any issues you may have. This app has a lot of potential.

I know as an animator that when making animations of people or characters all the joints should be connected I was here to test this app and it’s awesome as it’s free and everything but there was one issue. the body parts weren’t connected. I made a ready player and it wasn’t connected I thought it might because it wasn’t programmed but then I tried drew (the in game character) and it was NOT connected for example if I were to move the knee up the bottom part of the leg would also go up. So saying that if you made all the joints connected this would be amazing! And probably the best free 3d animation app ever!
one problem
whenever i try and use a glb map, i zoom a bit in and it says “too close to the current focus point” anyway to fix that or can you remove that?
