Good bank of varied subjects for MRCGP
Good bank, questions are generally well thought out and fair, so it’s still very useful for revision. The standard of the app overall seems to have gone downhill since I used it for finals over a decade ago sadly-lots of spelling and grammar errors, several options/answers not visible on the app, as well as images. At the end of each set of questions it states I’ve not completed 100% of the questions, despite all being filled out. Each issue is small but becomes frustrating over time.

Questions and explanations are mostly good, however the app is poor. The download feature never worked for me and the app frequently logs you out. Also the app doesn’t save your place e.g when doing 100 questions at a time, you have to manually skip ahead to where you left off

I love how it makes doing revision questions a bit like a game. Helps my ADHD brain to be motivated
Bugs and Glitches
This is the worst app I have ever seen in my life. Plenty of bugs and glitches. Every time I complete 100 mcqs there is always a glitch ans it will show me that I have attempted 93 or 94 mcqs. There is sometimes problem in flagging/bookmarking a question.
Fix bugs pls
Kindly update this app. Firstly it opens late and then past exams questions are uploaded slowly
OKAYish app
It seems the app is poorly invested in seeing how it lacks even the basic functionality that you get if using browser, e.g. if you have spent a bit more time on a question doing some thinking and the screen turns off, one you turn it back on, the question changes automatically to a different one. Better off using the browser instead.

Unable to access personalised notes
Hi, In the past couple of updates, you guys have removed all ways to review personalised notes without starting the Qbank for that particular specialty again. Request you to please do that
App doesn’t auto save progress
App needs to keep saving automatically, need more options for studying. Connectivity can improve.

Incorrect progress
The progress bar does not show correctly the number of questions answered or the ratio of how many wrong/right. Ongoing problem.

The website is well designed and easy to use, I like the content for MRCS and it has become the top recommendation from current passouts! Taking a star off for the cost
Amazing content with painful technical problems
The questions and the overall content of the app is really good. But the real problem begins when we try to do some mock exam, past papers or a long q bank session. For example, if I’m giving a mock test which has 100 questions, after finishing 70 questions, the app lags, disturbingly logs out by itself and when I try to resume the session, it starts from question number 20. By the time I skip past 5 questions, the app lags again and logs me out. It’s becoming increasingly frustrating with exams coming nearer. If need to waste some 30 - 40 mins like this for every 100 questions (120 mins), it’s making me wonder if it’s truly worth for such money. It’s painful and discouraging. FYI, this issue occurs even when the app is up to date. Kindly fix this issue. Otherwise it’ll be a reputation killer
Many problems in the app. Questions and explanations are relevant to the exam.
The app Logs off itself many times while using the app for revision. Have to login again and again. It’s very frustrating. App doesn’t work properly even if internet signals are slightly poor. This makes the use of app very difficult for the revision. Only the web version works properly that too if you have a very good and stable internet connection. It’s very difficult for us who are working full time and prepare for the exam whenever we get time; during breaks, public transport etc. I have used other apps. They work well even with poor internet signals. Giving 3 stars because the app content is very relevant to the exam. A good app experience would have fetched 5 stars.
Freezing App.
The information is excellent but my concern is the App keeps freezing all the time especially the videos. I have been trying to watch the video lectures but the App keeps freezing all the time and consuming my battery. I strongly suggest that something should be done about it as soon as possible.Thank you.

Very difficult to follow progress of mock exam. If we could at leadt download the incorrect questions on pdf. We should be able to select only incorrect quesripms to review
Could use touching up but overall very convenient
App is very convenient but has some bugs that need to be fixed. For example, the performance section doesn’t scroll down on my phone. Also, when you download a set of questions offline, it doesn’t download media (like ECGs and XR) which is a shame. It’s also a shame that it only let’s you download 100. Otherwise good app
app on iPad needs alot of work
so many bugs whilst using the app. Downloading questions for offline use results in no pictures. Additionally after downloading and completing (e.g.) 100 qus it will not always save this as part of your progress (i.e. will not be added to your completed questions). Even when using whilst connected to the internet, doesn’t always register questions as having been completed at the end of a session (e.g will say on’y 85 out of 100 questions answered, even if you have answered all 100). Will often sign you out unexpectedly. Not impressed with the app at all tbh, I’ve not seen any updates in the past 2 years Ive been using it for my exams.
App needs refinement
The subject content is good. Passes my MRCP part 1 with it, but the app needs very much refinement. The website and app data are not correlating, session are not continuing from the same question we logged off. It’s starting much earlier. It’s frustrating and wasting time.
Great resource!
Great complimentary resource to the pastest question bank - very useful for revising sporadically and on the go. Works well, easy to navigate and is free with pastest subscription so well worth downloading if you have one

Even though I subscribed for it, I couldn’t not find any material on about part B-was it for only website?

Differences between right and wrong answers
I have noticed that the green and red mark for right and wrong answers have been glitching for a while. I have then noticed that the app is not calculating my right answers correctly but heavily marking me red for wrong answers. I’m not really sure why. Also I have done so many questions so far but my record chart has just gone up slightly.
Buggy
It has been super buggy… doesn’t record my answered questions and register some as skipped. Doesn’t sync well across devices also and tends to log out.
Excellent Exam Prep App
The Pastest app is fantastic for exam prep. The extensive question bank, clear explanations and user friendly interface makes studying efficient and effective. The app’s offline mode is perfect for on the go learning. Thanks to Pastest resources like Medical Student Finals and MRCS, I felt confident and well-prepared for my exams. Highly recommend!
One of the worst revision apps
This app is unbelievably frustrating. It is bug-ridden which makes navigating between sections of the apps interface challenging. The accuracy with which answers are recorded and stored prior to marking is abysmal. Additionally, the apps developers seemingly have not successfully managed to figure out how to save media for offline viewing. This is all on top of the fact Pastest is an incredibly expensive service compared to contemporary platforms and really the only thing going for it is the larger bank of past papers. I honestly don’t think it’s worth the money!

Content is good but the app is very very glitchy!!
App interface needs serious overhaul. Very inconvenient bugy interface. Question bank is good.
1. This is very annoying bug. Have to relogin again n again even during active sessions. 2. Sync with other devices is less 3. No dark mode( saves battery and reduces eye strain) 4. Dashboard information is less and not that intuitive and insightful. 5. Qbank in PC mode doesn’t have option to select number of questions to practice, only timed sessions are available. 6. Offline mode is too bad, app asks for relogin even in offline mode, how is that possible?
Better now has landscape mode!
A decent app has been dramatically improved since they sorted landscape mode - sooo much easier to view on my iPad.

Good explanations
My fav features are offline questions, short and concise explanations of all the possible options. Some of the questions with pictures cannot be seen when you download them.
Very glitchy and keeps getting stuck
Probably developed by amateurs even after charging a fortune for 1000mcqs.
Needs better offline support!
Works well when you have an internet connection, however if you lose signal, it almost always logs out and won’t let you log back in until you have a stable signal. This is particularly frustrating when commuting, and happens even when I download the questions to my device. This makes studying on public transport (the main use of this app for me), practically impossible. Please fix this ASAP.
Great for on the move
The app is great accompaniment to the web. I can continue my studies on the go during my rounds and then pick up where I left off in the evening at my desk.
Pastest worst quality, passmed is better
The apps sometimes did not save your progress, and you need to do everything from the top, especially past papers, whilst being on the app, it suddenly exits, paid so much for such a bad quality

Good resources but very bad app
The app is horrible. All the videos are not playing properly. It has an option of downloading it but once you download it, you can never play off-line or play at all…. On the web version will not work on my iPhone as well .very frustrated when you have to revise for exams and try to figure out how to get the app to work.

Very unstable app ,suddenly becomes unresponsive, screen goes completely white and doesn’t respond to any command.
