Amazing
I love this app
No customer service and they took my money!
I LOVE gardening and was excited to try this app as a trial. I accidentally purchased premium and thought that’s okay, I’d love to use it as long as I bought it and it’s a year subscription. However I cannot log in no matter what I do (it’s in my Apple account) and despite emailing customer service twice, I have yet to hear back. I’ve never left a negative review anywhere but I am sad I spent money and cannot utilize the app. I filed a claim with Apple for a refund but it was denied twice. I believe I spent $24.99
Good for the price
Great reference though some popular garden varieties are not listed. Mapping is cool with the compatible planting function. There are other systems much fancier but I don't need to design my back yard, just planning a bunch of containers and a raised bed. Works for me and cheaper than most!

If you want to plan your garden you have to pay. If you want to use this app as a reference for planting it is great but that’s not what I want from my free garden planter
great variety
i love this app for variety and user-friendliness, but it isn’t the best for companion planning. it won’t pick up all that’s not compatible when planning which can be a pain. i’ve had to use other apps to double-check what i’m planting, otherwise it’ll be missed.
Nice and informative

Pretty app but not pretty enough to justify the expensive price to unlock more than one garden.

It’s a Shopping App
To add veggies to your plan you have to also add them to a shopping cart. Basically it is a marketing app for Burpee. No thank you. I don’t mind paid for a good app but I dot want to be sold too on top of that!
Very handy
My only complaint would be that there are quite a lot of plants missing, flowers like anemone, chrysanthemum. Seems odd you can’t even add it and import your own personal growing info..
Only garden app I need
I love this app. I have been using it for a couple years now. Started as a free trial but loved it enough to keep it. Improves every year. So excited for the new beta things. I would love the intercropping feature! So glad that towers were added and seed starting!
Waste of time
The idea is great BUT unless you have hours to work on setting it up, it isn’t worth the price. They need to spend a lot of time on making the actual setup process, linking IOS to Mac easier. I could not figure it out and kept on getting error messages on trying to just CREATE a password to link. There is no easy way to put plants in your garden and the instructions are poor. I tried to setup ten beds and was unable to remove the one mistake I put in and have no idea how I even got it in there. Again, great idea, terrible execution.
Pretty easy to use
For the most part, this is fairly easy to use. Occasionally, I have problems, adding plants to the garden or, or understanding how many of a type of plant can go into a one by one space. I like the reminders about planting dates and the task list is great.
Can only create one garden, disappointed
I was so excited to try this app, only to be let down. I was able to create one garden and that was it. In order for me to create anything garden I needed to subscribe to a monthly fee or pay for the lifetime membership. I totally understand that I would be limited to what I can do, but come one, one garden to try.
Warning: Updates will erase your garden!
I got a popup saying an update was required. Okay, did that, then opened it up and my GARDEN IS GONE. That was a lot of work down the drain. Yes, I should have probably created an account, but there was no indication that a simple update would wipe all of the data on my install. That sucks.
Best garden planning app
Awesome and easy to use, just wish it had an actual map of your property to place your gardens
App WAS great
I have used this app for years and had multiple gardens set up. Fantastic! This year I open it to plan and everything that had been saved is now gone and I can only have one garden before having to pay. Not impressed!
Great for planning your garden
I initially had some issues with my garden. I created a garden while logged out, and in the process of creating an account and logging in to save my progress, my garden got erased. However, the team helped me recover my garden which I am very grateful for. The layout and UI is intuitive and very nicely designed. Almost all plants I needed to add were in the database, but a few were missing (huckleberry and pomegranate tree).
Too small
Doesn’t allow for one full area to be covered at a time. My pool area is 24.3M wide. The max width it allows is 13.3
Really well thought out app with your growing season
Love that it gives the grow guide per plant based on your own frost dates. However so many of the flower sow outside dates are wrong. It doesn’t seem to differentiate between hardy annuals and tender annuals. Many hardy annuals can, and should, be sown outside in the fall and early spring when it is cold. Ammi, cornflower, rudbeckia, and nigella to name a few. These are the plants who self seed and those seeds come up the next year happy and healthy despite sitting in the soil outside through all the cold winter. I also dislike the Americanisms present - it’s cornflower, not Bachelors Buttons, to everyone outside North America. Just one example.
Lots of great features
There is a wealth of information in this app. It has been a huge help for the novice gardener like myself. I like how it follows the square foot gardening technique. The only thing I would add would be to add odd shaped gardens. It works as is but I have to setup multiple beds. Highly recommended

Downloaded it. Tried three very common plants. It only had one of them. Uninstalled.

Good app but needs work
Great app with lots of potential but update requests take way too long. Perhaps revamp and add all the features users are requesting and charge a higher fee for the updated version. I would personally be willing to pay more to have a more robust edition. Thank you!
Helpful but…
It’s helpful you can use one garden for free but if you want more you either buy or take notes and erase and start over. Too bad there wasn’t more free content. Info on plants is great and on free content.
Great visualization/Information
I have several raised beds for which I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to use spreadsheets to visualize the contents of each garden, rotate veggies and companion plant - this app helps with all that and more -it’s been a real time-saver.
Keine Lokalisierung, weder sprachlich noch klimatisch
Die Datenbank ist komplett auf englisch, was nicht schminm ist, wenn man alle englischen Bezeichnungen aller Pflanzen im Kopf hat. Nach den botanischen Namen in Latein lässt sich nicht suchen. Das erwarte ich allerdings schon von einer vernünftigen Garten-App, sonst ist das nur ein Kinderspielzeug. Typisch europäische Pflanzen sind erst gar nicht drin. Sauerampfer, Kerbel und Pimpinelle kann ich mit der App nicht pflanzen, dafür Melonen und Südfrüchte. Die wachsen aber halt im arschkaIten bergischen Land nicht. Das ist total ok, wenn die App nicht auf alle Klimazonen ausgelegt ist, aber dann biete sie halt nicht im deutschen Store an, sondern nur da, wo sie auch nutzbar ist.

I love planning my garden for this year. The draw back is if you want more than one you need to pay. Why is everything for a price now?

Features are handy however only able to do one garden on free version not practical for planning raised beds.

Not for Australia
A good concept, needs more vegetables added. Planting calendar is not for Australian regions. Disappointed as this is a great concept
So far so good!
This is my first year trying vegetable gardening and this app. So far so good. Im trying the free trial at the moment. I will probably pay for it. I’m a little hesitant on the task calendar, as some local FB groups tell me differently one when to plant what , but I will just go with the app this time, since one of the weather stations is so close by. Would love to see an option to see all garden beds together in an overview. Instead of bed by bed. I also hope it will help me with crop rotation when the time comes
Not worth the $$
I downloaded Planter to monitor and track my vege patch. With this app, you can only add the veges to a garden and it will tell you the space the plant needs. Nothing else. I need to track harvest, and re-planting features, And identification of common pests and how to get rid of them. If these features were added, the app might be worth the price tag.

This app is great for beginner gardeners and for any gardener that likes visual planning. There is big room for improvement in number off vegetables and flowers listed. And measurement in metric system would be great.

Not impressed
I’ve just spent the best part of a day adding my seed stash into their plant library so I can add them to my planting plan, only to find that half have disappeared . Also you select them as favourites then go to filter, select favourites only to find that none of your favourites are actually there and it says that there is nothing. I am really not impressed I payed for the upgrade because I found it easy to use. Also there is no way of contacting the developer to let them know. You can’t even let them know you have issues on iOS, you click contact developer and it just comes up with a funny website saying the app is coming soon to iOS in 2021. I have paid for this and I am really not impressed so please can a developer refund my money

Helpful to visually map out your garden. Wish it had trees.
Fixed sizes. No square foot
It has a good range of plants and gives some advice on companion planting. But the room that each plant takes up is fixed and is not compatible with square foot gardening method. Instead of taking up one square for a tomato it takes up four. I could make the entire bed four times the size and but other plants are different. There is no option to label the plant with the date planted so that when you click it. Also, the app tries to let you classify a plant by variety, in case you have different types in the same bed. But there is a VERY limited selection (about 5-10). So I will continue to use word to plan my beds.
Missing feature
It is not possible to add custome plants. I miss that!
Great app
This app is fairly simple in design but has been essential in planning my garden. It’s helped me with pairing plants and layout. It also lets you know how many of each plant to plant in a square foot. Definitely worth the price
So far so good!
I have just begun using the free version. The plot I was able to make with the free version (or without beta) was smaller than my current garden plot. All of that aside, it allows you to choose a plant type, then you can even try and find your specific variation. Not only that, but if your variation is not available you can still create a new record to use. Finally, and specifically what I was searching for, it allows you to map out your growing space fairly intuitively, while showing the beneficial, detrimental, or neutral relationship between the plants.
Perfect!
Love it all. One suggestion so far. Make a map overlay of watering quantity so certain plants can be grouped based on water needs.
Good but wish there was more plant variety
Clearly a Burpee app, it would be nice to have other seeds/ varieties represented.
